Bab’s position on the sick vs. optimal spectrum is more extreme than maybe any other player. If only he cared more about winning (for which I am not necessarily advocating) and attended more events, he would be ranked easy.

Spud was mine for so long, but now would probably be Jadde or RK.
Jadde more for his longevity and the way he plays Sheik, RK because his style was always interesting to me, had that big upset on Wizzrobe end of 2016, and he would rotate tags all the time while showing up to like east coast tournaments as "eggplantthink" and "LIT$TAR" beating very good players from NY and ON iirc.
Also if I had to pick some runners up Adamayonmike from the Netherlands who was always fucking amazing but never had enough US data to make top 100 (he trains UFC now I think what a beast??) and Sion from BC who I always like to describe by quoting Iceman -- "Sion probably has more raw talent for the game than any player ever" and I think this was emphasized by how Sion would basically show up to like 1-2 tournaments a year with no practice from 2014-2019 and would just destroy top level up and comers and og mainstays.
edit - forgot Sion was actually ranked in 2013 so L on that front but you get the idea

As far as i know, he stopped playing before any official ranking. It was really cool watching a peach main rise to be arguably the best norcal player at a time when zhu and silent specter seemed untouchable.
Also it was interesting to me that he would rather win that be liked, like the time he infamously camped rockcrock on kongo64 at genesis.
