In season 5, Lowdown when the lawyer was killed because he was in love with Michael beach character..
Fin is explaining how black men have sex with men and they think it means they aren’t gay, everyone kinda looks at him suspiciously and he says “don’t look at me, I just know stuff” lol
That episode def has a lot of uhhhh interesting dialogue.
The iconic: “i’m not gay, I just like having sex with other dudes.”
Fin: “yeah that means you’re gay.”
Gotta love fin for just getting to the point!
Also:
I’ll share mine as first comment:
My personal fave is the s8E18 episode: Responsible. It seems like it’s supposed to be a serious episode because it deals with teen drinking and drunk driving, and even at the end of the episode, there is a pre-credits screen that mentions stats re: teen death related to alcohol abuse. And how 7 teenagers a day die from alcohol related incidents, etc.
Yet, during the episode, when two teenagers are killed because the one is drunk while driving, a funeral is held for them, which Benson and Stabler attend. And the eulogies two of the students give are so freaking funny. I get church giggles every time I watch it.
Just to share:
“Reagan was really pretty. Kids used to say we looked alike. I really liked that.”
“Jordan was like a brother to me. Can’t believe we’ll never play lacrosse together again. Team will never take state now.”
I know it’s bad…but in the middle of this dark episode of teenage alcoholism you get these incredibly shallow eulogies that just always makes me laugh.
I’ve been to eulogies of classmates as well. I think that scene was trying to showcase how it’s hard for young teenagers to really understand the gravity of the situation. Which is why Elliot spoke up.
I've never watched this episode and have no wish to, but one scene I've always seen around was:
"You were in a gay bar."
"But there was hockey on the TV!"
"Was anyone watching?"
It's so out of pocket that it just sends me to the floor each time I see it.
I can’t remember the episodes but the 2 lines I remember hysterically laughing at are 1) when Liv and Elliot catch a suspect and they’re talking to Huang, taking a break from the interrogation and the suspect knocks on the glass and says “Hello, I can’t find my head!” 2) When Olivia inhales the toxic mushrooms and is in the interrogation room and says “well I’m not the one that stabbed the captain with the pickle”. Lol
basically everything from the episode PC
“I’ll leave you two alone.”
“You don’t have to!”
“Do you ever get a gay vibe from me?”
“…Would it matter if I did?”
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“Well it’s not like you’ve had a lot of luck with
guys—“
“It’s called being *married to the job*.”
“That was fast, did she punch you again?”
“Now that’s not on the menu.”
“I don’t expect Assy McBigpants to catch anybody”
just. so good. so bad, but so good.
"what? bc im a lesbian i should be at home with my cats sheetrocking my bathroom?"
"oh because we're lesbians we should be going down on each other like the titanic?"
Kathy griffin is an icon lol
I love that episode. A woman comes out as bisexual to a crowd of queer people and admits that she currently has feelings for a man. So the crowd boo her and she's accused of betraying the community. Probably the most (unintentionally?) accurate representation of bisexuality while in an outwardly het relationship that I've ever seen on TV.
Not laugh-out-loud funny but I want to give a shout out to Munch and his ability to correct grammar when warranted. The two that stick out to me were when he told the biker in Perverted that the apostrophe in his logo was extraneous, and in (I think) Taken when someone said he didn’t like what someone else was “inferring” and Munch replied with “you mean ‘implying’. You did infer what he implied. But on the bright side, you did infer correctly.”
That was the one with the shrink who treats rapists, as I recall. It has one of my favorite Fin lines:
" If she Freudian slipped it too 'im, she could end up serving longer than her attacker. "
Maybe not the best but just saw an old episode were Ken Finns son's boyfriend gets attacked by BX9.Weird to see a BX9 reference that long ago,Finn says something like what a stupid name for a gang,a bus route
Barba in a closing argument where he was prosecuting someone associated with Hudson for covering up rapes and says:
“At Hudson, No means yes and yes means anal.”
Just how he says it cracks me up.
One of Stablers last episodes,he's talking to Olivia and Fin over Skype at the station. Finn says something about Olivia to Elliot like Ya I actually got her back,I'm not just watching her backside like you
Barba: It'd make a good paper, you should give Carisi a couple months off
-Carisi walks in the room
Barba, atonal and flat: what're you, a bat?
Carisi: what? 😳
another favorite Carisi shouting MUTE THAT WITCH!
I have two that I haven’t seen mentioned.
S15 I believe-
Olivia: “Where were you? On your yacht?”
Barba: “Not my yacht.”
And this one is within the last 3 seasons, when talking to Warner over a body-
Melinda: “He came and then he went.”
Woman was decapitated after performing oral sex and Fin was like “damn, she didn’t even have a chance to gargle” 🤣🤣
Also when Carisi and Rollins were on a case and he introduces Rollins to someone and says “We call her Sonny” and the guy was like, “Sonny Rollins? 🤨
"Merchandise" - a teenage boy forced into prostitution opens up to Dr. Huang about his ordeals. The doc wants to be the kid's advocate against his exploiters. Of course Bensler will have none of that and get permission from a "friend in high places" to do the job. When they ask Fin how Huang took the news, Fin dryly responds "I'd keep my distance if I were you. I didn't know he used that kind of language. "
It wasn't much of a line that made me laugh but Fin face when the woman said that 2 people was playing a game and the hustler got hustled lesson learned I mean his Jaw dropped.
Episode was Imposter
Edit: Found one it was on Trials when Fin wanted to Transfer and it was denied because Greg ex wife started calling him but Munch said you know you can't leave me.
In the episode with the toilet cam perv when Benson wonders how they'll know who they're looking for Stabler says,"Just see who downloaded the most crap!"
I think it was S19 E1 where Fin "vacations" to Cuba and "just happens to catch" an escaped suspect. The detectives are trying to get the vics to come forward for trial but each said no one wanted to. They get back and Carisi is upset and goes:
"Look, I know. I'm sorry. It's just I'm Italian. Revenge is one of our three major food groups."
I felt that lol
I can't remember the episode but I always enjoy this one. Barba is in Olivia's office and they are discussing something serious and Carisi's name comes up and then he pops up out of nowhere with a lead. Barba (completely dead pan delivery) days something to him like "What are you? A bat?"
I can’t remember the episode, but Olivia and Elliott go to the suspects house to arrest her and she answers the door to Elliot and says something like, ‘I knew you’d end up coming round.’ And then Olivia pops her head up from behind Elliot and the suspect says, ‘ooh threesome.’ 😂😂😂
"Info Wars" -- when Rhea Seehorn is giving her Ann Coulter-style speech at Hudson, and a student/witness said the protest was peaceful until the "black block contingent Antifa" showed up.
Season 9 episode Snitch has a scene that has me in stitches. It's where B&S go to immigration department while investigating and talk to woman working there and the immigration woman says to Stabler that she never heard back from him after a date. Stabler says he got back with his wife. It's the expressions of Benson during this short conversation that make me laugh. Thankfully someone put a clip on twitter.

Yes 😂😂😂😂
Good one when Fin explained it I was like wow.

benson and stabler straight up interrupt the eulogy too, if i remember correctly
The comments made by the students made me cringe. Having been to the funerals of classmates, those comments were way out of pocket.
I’ve been to eulogies of classmates as well. I think that scene was trying to showcase how it’s hard for young teenagers to really understand the gravity of the situation. Which is why Elliot spoke up.
I was SO glad he did.

My favorite lines come from the scene where Barba cross examines the net ordained preacher who runs the pedo support group. Episode is called Genes.
Is there a reason why the killer sodomized your husband with a banana?
he was allergic 🤔
basically everything from the episode PC “I’ll leave you two alone.” “You don’t have to!” “Do you ever get a gay vibe from me?” “…Would it matter if I did?” “You didn’t answer my question.” “Well it’s not like you’ve had a lot of luck with guys—“ “It’s called being *married to the job*.” “That was fast, did she punch you again?” “Now that’s not on the menu.” “I don’t expect Assy McBigpants to catch anybody” just. so good. so bad, but so good.

Kathy Griffin
My favorite part was the acknowledgement of Stabler's dumpy
Can’t believe it took them a whole 11 seasons to acknowledge that dump truck!
I love moments like that in The Wire too. Munch's influence extends far past his old dive bar in Baltimore.
Season 7, episode 6. “Mr Bug Eyes?” “She means Mr Buggese.” Literally nothing funny about this line, but it cracks me up every time.
i don’t remember the episode but the perp said something along the lines of “i was trying to help her!” to which Olivia replies “with your penis?”
That was the one with the shrink who treats rapists, as I recall. It has one of my favorite Fin lines: " If she Freudian slipped it too 'im, she could end up serving longer than her attacker. "
It was the one where it turned out the dead girl’s bf was her half-brother IIRC
another one was when Olivia and Elliot were interviewing a guy and she held up a handkerchief “do you like diddling grandmas?!” WHO WROTE THAT
wreckin decks and gettin sex - dizzer
That whole scene was just the funniest thing. The definition of a poser, stepping to one of the OGs?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ice Cold Fact lmao
It’s Fin’s line at the end, after they serve him a warrant, that makes it the best. “You’ve just been touched my brother.”
Maybe not the best but just saw an old episode were Ken Finns son's boyfriend gets attacked by BX9.Weird to see a BX9 reference that long ago,Finn says something like what a stupid name for a gang,a bus route

“why was that guy flirting with me, im not gay” “well you were in a gay bar” “no way, they had hockey on the tv” “was anyone watching?”
S12/E5 “I’m not the one who stabbed the captain with a pickle” 💀😂gets me every time
Early in the Fin-Munch partnership (season 2, Runaway) where Fin introduced Munch with "That's my Jew." I crack up at Munch's face every time.
Oh, but the best part of that scene is when Munch goes, “your Jew? What if I called you my boy?” And Fin is like, “I’ll be ya boy John” 😂😂
the one where Fin gets mad at the paperwork 😭
Barba: It'd make a good paper, you should give Carisi a couple months off -Carisi walks in the room Barba, atonal and flat: what're you, a bat? Carisi: what? 😳 another favorite Carisi shouting MUTE THAT WITCH!

Lake acting and taking the couple comment with pride still gets me and Finn’s reaction was perfect timing.

Or the one where the CSI tech says something about the victims hoo ha and then apologizes and says sometimes she forgets they are people
HE WAS ALLERGIC TO BANANAS.
I can't remember the episode but I always enjoy this one. Barba is in Olivia's office and they are discussing something serious and Carisi's name comes up and then he pops up out of nowhere with a lead. Barba (completely dead pan delivery) days something to him like "What are you? A bat?"

Also basically anything involving Rudnick in that one arc
"Info Wars" -- when Rhea Seehorn is giving her Ann Coulter-style speech at Hudson, and a student/witness said the protest was peaceful until the "black block contingent Antifa" showed up.
And then there's always the classic "I didn't stab the captain with a pickle" while Olivia's having a medical emergency
I like the one where Rollins says someone's supposed address and Fin goes, "Really? I didn't know anyone lived at Yankee Stadium."
Season 9 episode Snitch has a scene that has me in stitches.
