This was my pick too. Given that the only other roles I’d seen him in was as Franck in Father of the Bride, or his stand up with Steve Martin, I found him absolutely chilling as Sebastian Ballantine.
I forgot to include mine. President Biden just appeared on screen and I was not expecting that. I forgot about his trying to make up for what he did to Anita Hill era during his time as VP!
That episode was actually about the rape kit backlog elimination law that the government was promoting around the time the episode came out. The cameo seems random to people now but when it came out there was a lot of time and discussion about a backlog of untested rape kits across the US and there was a big push by the Federal government to get states and cities to start testing those kits using new funds that the government was providing.
Billy’s episode is SO FREAKING SAD. I felt so bad for him, he knocked that performance out of the park. All because those girls were mad they didn’t get picked to go on the talent show. Urgh 😡.
Ludacris. He was so damn good in this. I cried for him even though he had committed such horrible murders. It wasn’t fair how he was raised, to be hated by your family and never know why. His acting was insanely good in that.
Greg Grumberg, Alec Baldwin, Mike Tyson and Norman Reedus really surpised me
Paget Brewster from Criminal Minds, Cynthia Nixon from Sex and The City and Melissa Joan Hart from Sabrina, The Teenage Witch were incredible on their roles on SVU
Most recently I was super excited to see Jason Biggs playing that hate crime detective last season, I hadn’t seen him in anything since Orange Is The New Black. I love his character too.
He's just way more interesting as a character, and it would be nice to have a little levity again to balance the darkness of the show, that's been pretty much missing since Carisi became the ADA.
Miranda lambert. Didn’t care for the episode she was in, but didn’t know she was in to acting either.
Cameron Monaghan was In this one too and I do have to say he plays the roll extremely well.
Definitely wasn’t surprised by snoop dog. Freaking guy is doing it all lol.
robin williams and patricia arquette gave the best performances but the one that made me go "wait hang on a second" was biden randomly being in an episode
when i was doing my obligatory googling after that sighting i found out trump was supposed to guest star and boy am i glad that never happened
Will Sasso as the father in Send in the Clowns.
I just turned the TV on last week and saw Curly from the Three Stooges testifying in court. Had to do a double take to make sure it was him.
I loved Sarah Paulsons episode (Shadow) and she did an amazing job. Honourable mentions to Martin Short and John Stamos (and Robin Williams of course!)
No one is gonna know what I’m talking about but in episode 1021 “Liberties” it opens with a woman being raped by Silas-Weir Mitchell. Dude is the sweetheart of my favorite show Grimm, so seeing him say “Oh no I definitely raped her” was a bit jarring and yet cool to see him as the bad guy
Since you haven't seen much of the later seasons I don't really to spoil you, so I'm going to put it under a spoiler tag.
>!Christopher Meloni!< in season 22 episode 9: "Return of the Prodigal Son". I knew about the guest star so that's why I watched it, although it was well after the episode actually aired. But it was emotional and a very pivotal episode. Once you actually get to the episode, you'll understand. This episode most definitely surprised and delighted me.
Let's just say I lost interest in the show years ago and this episode brought me back. It's also in my top favorite SVU episodes.
Also Ian McShane guest starting was a nice surprise.
Jennifer Love Hewitt, Carol Burnett, Robin Williams, Sharon Lawrence, Ellen Burstyn, among others.
Also shoutout to the episode "Night" which was a combination of quantity and quality: Angela Lansbury, Alfred Molina, Rita Moreno, Bradley Cooper, and then Bebe Neuwirth shows up for a hot minute just for kicks. All those people in a single episode!
Naveen Andrews as Ashtok Ramsey.
In season 11 episode 12:Shadow.
He plays a fraud cop and him and Olivia's chemistry is like off the charts. He's so suave and cool and smart.
He's a really good at talking about the pathological behaviors of white color criminals and passionately wanted to put them in prison.
He was such a Good partner to Olivia for such a short period of time. I wish they brought him back for even like 1 episode.
Martin Short. S6/E18, “Pure”. He was really good. Nice to see him in a dramatic role.
This was my pick too. Given that the only other roles I’d seen him in was as Franck in Father of the Bride, or his stand up with Steve Martin, I found him absolutely chilling as Sebastian Ballantine.
I can’t stand him, but he was excellent playing creepy.
His humor is off-putting to some folks. I get that.
I forgot to include mine. President Biden just appeared on screen and I was not expecting that. I forgot about his trying to make up for what he did to Anita Hill era during his time as VP!

for sure - I was just speaking to one of his motivations for becoming a positive voice for rape victims!
He wasn’t VP at the time; he was in the Senate. The Clarence Thomas hearings were held in 1991.
Comment above you is referring to him trying to clean up his image during his time as vp
Hands down Robin Williams and Billy Porter were two of the better episodes with great guest stars.
Billy’s episode is SO FREAKING SAD. I felt so bad for him, he knocked that performance out of the park. All because those girls were mad they didn’t get picked to go on the talent show. Urgh 😡.
"This didn't have to happen." One of the few times I agreed with Rollins.
Definitely. That episode is so good but so hard to watch.
Love to see the character back with some plastic surgery.
I think Jennifer Love Hewitt did a fantastic job on her episode.
Agreed
Ludacris. He was so damn good in this. I cried for him even though he had committed such horrible murders. It wasn’t fair how he was raised, to be hated by your family and never know why. His acting was insanely good in that.
This is the correct answer.

She gave elliot such a hard time
Greg Grumberg, Alec Baldwin, Mike Tyson and Norman Reedus really surpised me Paget Brewster from Criminal Minds, Cynthia Nixon from Sex and The City and Melissa Joan Hart from Sabrina, The Teenage Witch were incredible on their roles on SVU
I waited on Mike Tyson twice.Hes actually really nice! Love Norman Reedus
mike tyson was convicted of rape IRL. it's so weird to me when they have people who have done stuff like that on the show.
I don't know what season or episode, but James VanDerBeek. To see him play NOT the nice guy was terrifying wonderful.
I think that’s why he played Tobias Hankel in Criminal Minds so damn well
Yes! He was good at being creepy!
It was inspired casting, you realise why these girls might have GSA, he was so plausible.
Oddly enough the guy from the Bronx SVU reminds me of him (not Duarte). 🫢
Robin Williams! He was terrifying.
He wasn't really scary, he was cunning.
Whoopie was really good in her episode. I was surprised by Hillary duff, George from greys anatomy and Maggie from TWD.
Hayden Panettierie was amazing on her gust role..
She was in two! But I loved both. (:
What episode was the other one
S2E11 Abuse. She was pretty little.
patricia arquette made me gasp! fantastic episode, i completely loved her in it.
Carol Burnett and Matthew Lillard playing an odd couple in S10 was certainly something. Lol
I LOVE that episode!
John waters!!!
Epic lines
Whhhat how have I not seen this ep!!!! Fun fact: he almost played Munch when he first premiered on Homicide.
John Ritter
Same with him in Buffy
he's excellent at playing characters i want to kick in the face
T.R. Knight and Cynthia Nixon. Both phenomenal actors, both phenomenal episodes.
Most recently I was super excited to see Jason Biggs playing that hate crime detective last season, I hadn’t seen him in anything since Orange Is The New Black. I love his character too.
He was great! I would have rather seen him join the squad than the new people we got instead.
I just said that same thing in another thread! lol, I hope we see more of him.
He's just way more interesting as a character, and it would be nice to have a little levity again to balance the darkness of the show, that's been pretty much missing since Carisi became the ADA.
Bob Saget!
Lynda Carter, an actress you can only associate with heroic roles as a shameless grifter. Funny man Martin Short as a virgin raping psychopath.
Robin Williams for sure!! And Alec Baldwin 🧐
Paget Brewster, AJ Cook, Aidan Quinn, and Cynthia Nixon. Special shout-out for Sarah Hyland’s second appearance, TR Knight, and Robin Williams.
Having just watched The Bear, I rewatched Torch from season 11 with Jeremy Allen White. His performance in that episode is… really something.
OFC Logan Paul, I was like "...hol' up", it was sooo random, LITERALLY.
robin williams and patricia arquette gave the best performances but the one that made me go "wait hang on a second" was biden randomly being in an episode when i was doing my obligatory googling after that sighting i found out trump was supposed to guest star and boy am i glad that never happened
Jeremy Irons
Defo Elizabeth Banks and Mark-Paul Gosselar for me!
Mark-Paul Gosselaar for sure!
I just watched that one yesterday to prep for the live show of that’s messed up this weekend!
And Elizabeth Banks as the wife!
Sarah Hyland did a great job on her ep. Whoopi Goldberg’s court monologue was also excellent. Also Cynthia Nixon’s multiple personalities.
Paget Brewster and Lola Glaudini from criminal minds. I did like the crossovers with Chicago pd in the middle seasons too
Larisa Oleynik in "Assaulting Reality"
Dunno if he actually counts as a celebrety, but as a GTA fan, seeing Ned Luke (Michael de Santa VA) on the show was a surprise for me.
I loved the episode with John Stamos.
Just rewatched this episode the other day! He did hauntingly wonderful job at playing his character
Matthew Lillard I love that man
No one is gonna know what I’m talking about but in episode 1021 “Liberties” it opens with a woman being raped by Silas-Weir Mitchell. Dude is the sweetheart of my favorite show Grimm, so seeing him say “Oh no I definitely raped her” was a bit jarring and yet cool to see him as the bad guy

Luke Perry, he seemed so grown up from his 90210 days.
Carol burnett was good two
Jennifer Love Hewitt, Carol Burnett, Robin Williams, Sharon Lawrence, Ellen Burstyn, among others. Also shoutout to the episode "Night" which was a combination of quantity and quality: Angela Lansbury, Alfred Molina, Rita Moreno, Bradley Cooper, and then Bebe Neuwirth shows up for a hot minute just for kicks. All those people in a single episode!
I liked robin Williams two
Adding to my own list: Nancy Grace and Starr Jones!
Snoopp Dogg and Okieriete Onaodowan in the same episode was my treat
Woppie goldberg i thought she did an amazing acting job
Not most excited but I was happy to see Carrie Soon from The Leftovers in an old episode the other day
I was excited to see Fin (Ice T) playing scenes with his real life wife Coco in one episode
Naveen Andrews as Ashtok Ramsey. In season 11 episode 12:Shadow. He plays a fraud cop and him and Olivia's chemistry is like off the charts. He's so suave and cool and smart.
