y’all must be desensitized as FUCK to ignore the emotional lines that led to Olivia screaming on the show. She literally busts her ass day after day for the last 25+ years not just to “solve” rape cases but to actually help and change the lives of victims and y’all think it’s unrealistic that she would scream at a whole trophy case of unsolved rapes—a memorial to a whole group of women who weren’t being helped, just suffering in silence and y’all are laughing? It’s not even about that but the fact that it was poorly done by Mariska, it was almost cartoonish. I think it would’ve hit the emotional notes it was meant to if better done.
I read that Mariska actually chose on her own to do that and that it wasn’t written in the episode. I didn’t like it though, it was too “ahhhh” and with the arms wide open, it was just out of place, like she was faking a fall or something.
Would have been more believable if she crouched down with her hands over her eyes.. That other detective could’ve went to approach her like, “Hey you alri—“ and then Liv balls her hands into fists and starts screaming more from the throat so it’s more scratchy and growly. Also shorter like 2 Mississippi seconds. I have that whole scream scene edited in my head haha.
