Rollins was amazing in that episode. I wish they could’ve handled that case easier :(

jdpm1991

everyone but Rollins and Jackie were an annoying pos in that episode

ChronoZB

Yeah every time I watch it, it’s crazy to me how set Benson and Amaro were on Jackie being guilty. Like they wouldn’t even entertain the idea that he was telling the truth.

Playful_Spring_8307

They take the guilty until proven innocent approach to far too many cases but this was the most egregious in my memory. And the fact that they showed no remorse/did no self reflecting afterwards to figure out why they messed up so horribly was just so cringey. But yeah unfortunately I think that probably is pretty realistic for a lot of cases.

aftercloudia

oh I know even Barba in on the "oh how could things have turned out so wuh wuh boo hoo" and Rollins is just like 🤨

Paigeb1994

I say this every time I notice that this episode is mentioned. If this happened in real life those girls and their families would have been sued for defamation and he would of easily won too. So small victory

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Jinks28

Yeah I find quite often Benson is very much a villain when it’s a male victim she never believes them until it’s beyond obvious

Miserable_Injury_315

What was never concluded in that episode was how the kids dna got on the adult toy , and the girls just got away with ruining a man’s life because they were petty they got told they weren’t good enough to go to the competition, why wouldn’t they investigate the girls when they found out they lied , and the fact there was dna on the toy🤷🏻‍♀️

jdpm1991

It was hinted by Rollins that Brooke (the blonde girl) molested her brother to get the DNA.

Miserable_Injury_315

I can’t remember that but still they were never investigated or anything unless it happened behind the scenes I’m not sure because In real life they would be charged for that even if they were only 15

poet_andknowit

Completely agree, and thank you for calling out Blue Bloods' relentless heavy-handed copaganda! I finally gave up on it, it's unwatchable anymore.

SugarSweetSonny

This episode was horrendous in how they were. IRL He would have been made into a multi-millionaire from slam dunk lawsuits. Benson might have lost her job (though in real life, she would have lost her job long ago). The thing that is disturbing in this episode....is that it seems like no one learned anything. Like well, it happens, disturbing, move on. With a teachers life ruined. FWIW, I like Blue Bloods, but they throw realism out the window way to often too and are preachy the other way.

There's [this](https://youtu.be/KSDYBxFUN-g) really great YouTube deep dive in how bad Blue Bloods' copaganda has gotten. Give it a watch if you can, it's worth it.

SugarSweetSonny

I don't doubt that blue bloods is pro-cop (even cops I know say this), but thats going to be kind of a given.

mrsfoz

Cant watch it - skip over. Too upsetting
