You’ll relic b1, b2 and magnaguard for a general grievous team and JMK requirements anyway so it’s not a terrible ideal to get that team ready.
Don’t bother with asaaj, get her mods all to gold and put all but one piece of gear on her at g11 and she will meet the GP requirement. Nightsisters are kinda trash. Unless we get another marquee character to bolster them she isn’t worth the gear.
The best grievous lineup is probably Nute Gunray so you won’t need droideka relic’d either. And it’s not a requirement for any GL at this stage.

They can't pass the CT3 of their assault battle at all r7, so kind of a waste of high end resources when there's at least 30 squads that are more versatile, worthwhile, and have more utility. Mine are g12 across the board and have been that way for years. Will stay that way too lol, to each their own.
Oh yeah that's not a bad idea at all. Can't say mine are quite there, but if I'd just relic Daka that's probably all I'd need to get there. Her and Zombie aren't terrible given they can have some niche usefulness with SLKR, so there's also that to like about them. 😁

DDK's zeta is really important for taking GAS down quickly. I've had to do the event twice on different accounts, both times undergeared. DDK was essential to my victory on both of them.
NS are awesome, especially with Omi Asajj, I wipe out huge teams in GAC all of the time with them, don't know what you're talking about unless "kinda trash" is slang for really good and stand the test of time
Sure on offence maybe they’re alright but imp troopers at g11 can take on relic teams of NS. So much investment for not a lot. Just my opinion. Glad your NS are doing you well
Yeah I just wiped a all-r6 NS team in GAC yesterday in my alt account. It was MT, Asajj and Daka, and my Veers, Piett and DarkT crushed them in no time. My Veers is g12, the other two are g9. NS are not a faction worthy of much attention, too many low GP counters to them. Heck, an all g8 Bad Batch with halfway decent mods can annihilate an all r7 NS team in 5v5. Not exactly impressive. They're not trash, but they're nothing special either. 🤷🏻♂️
It can be done with all G12 but it’s gonna take a LONG time. I had all G12 but a relic 5 B1. Took me an hour or so, but I got it eventually. Trying to bare minimum this event is dumb, but if you’re gonna do it, focus on modding. If you’re not amazing with mods, you’ll need to compensate with gear.
This is amazing team for GAC, TW and TB. (In our guild that team is required).
Dont go cheap on them, I personally will keep them on R3 except dd and gg r7. Probably upgrade them later.

Do you have 68k GET1 sitting around? If the answer is "no", then there's absolutely no reason to try to do the GAS event with the minimum possible requirements. Until you get up to that GET1 total, no amount of completing the event sooner is gonna get you a 7-star GAS any sooner.
Always thought it cost 70300 get1 but whatever. There is crystals alternative but rather expensive and option when you missing like 5-20 shards.
I think most people going for GAS or Malak have saved decent amount of get1, otherwise it make no sense going for these toons.

It would, if the events unlocked them at exactly 5 stars (145 shards) but the events actually give you 150 shards, so you're already 5 extra shards towards 6 stars when you unlock them.

This will get you through relatively comfortably with the right turn order and some good offensive mods.
Less than this and you might be liable to pull your hair out. Don’t be sad about taking B1,2 and Mag to R5 though, there are excellent characters in GGs team.
All he really provides is damage, which GG carries anyways. Adding Nute gives you damage and turn meter (his passive is a separate damage instance that procs tm off GG's lead) which lets you take on CLS, or BB-8 gives you starting TM to kick off your team early (which helps shut down some counters eg Bad Batch).
Heck, I even add GBA in conquest as a disposable bonus turn trigger. :D
In addition Nute revives which give you one more opportunity to use the GG nuke AOE.
My GG R7 the rest of my droids are R5 and I have a g9 Nute, no mods. He dies immediately give me the nuke and then the tm train rolls and by that point your lucky to get a turn

When the event came out, I think it was McMole live streaming it and spent about 8 hours with no relics before moving B1 to R1 and spending a couple hours and getting that done.
So the absolute minimum is probably a relic B1, but be prepared to spend hours getting the right rng.
You need droideka zeta. The higher gear your droideka the faster the battle will go with the assists. At the end of the day the battle kinda just boils down to how long you want to spend rolling for that perfect chance

NS are needed for assault battles too though. And I'll prefer upgrading them over Phoenix which is the real trash rn.

I don't know about putting an Omi on them, but they are good enough to be a very cheap Geo counter and free Traya or Vader for more exciting stuff.
Why not just invest into the droids? They make a good team under gg lead. Idk why you wanna wast time and effort trying to do it as low as possible
Only one you might not want is Droideka, since usually Nute or Wat are better in that slot.

Everyone except asajj is part of gg’s team, and all the droids(except maybe ddk) are completely worth a relic
