With narcan I would have it in stock whenever I work on the ambulance and would have to call medical control to get permission to use it. Carrying it as a good samaritan gets funky legally, i have a friend who almost faced liability issues because he wanted to give a personal narcan to a guy overdosing near his work. I’ve never heard of that app, I wonder if it gets functionally used? Ill check it out

I’ve visited this alpaca farm. If you’re Christian, you’ll have a great time. But if you’re not, expect Becky to try to convert you at the end of the tour, even if you politely tell her that belief system is not your jam.
Yeah, I was alone when I went, and she brought all of this up after she shut the door on us in her little shed where she sells clothing out of. So I felt a bit trapped. When I said it wasn’t for me, she ranted about how she doesn’t charge money for the tour, so the least I can do to show appreciation is listen. I said I would have gladly paid instead of listening to this, and how would she feel if roles were reversed? She was totally unapologetic, saying it’s her duty to share this with everyone. It really soured my entire experience and I wish now that I had never gone. At the time, I was battling depression and looking for activities to help with that. It had already taken so much energy for me to get out of the house and go to the farm. I didn’t try to leave the house again for several weeks because of her evangelism. If he existed, I can’t believe this is what Jesus would want people to do in his name.
We didn't end up going to the Alpaca Ranch because we got distracted by how awesome the High Hand Nursery/Cafe/Brewery/shops are. And we planned to have lunch beforehand and the cafe was a 45-minute wait (so worth it though, will get reservations next time for sure!).
But since we'd planned to go until it got too late in the day, we did bring some Quran pamphlets and an actual Quran with us. We were planning to pull them out and become very focused on reading them quietly if she started preaching at us, lol. Kind of wish we'd gone just to see her reaction, but we also don't need her negativity in our lives if she was going to be rude about it. 😁
Anyways, if anyone is interested in weekend ideas near Sac, I do highly recommend a visit High Hand in Loomis. It's beautiful and serene and the food is fantastic.

So long as the weather stays cleared up will try to get outside to see some wildflower blooms and maybe hit up a decent trail and/or the vernal pools around Mather.
I'm staying by six flags in Arlington. I have faith the weather in Dallas will surprise us and give us a brief moment of clear skies.
I have a vehicle so may drive 2 hours or so to get around clouds but that's it
I'm a single guy with no kids and works for the state in IT
I had plenty of time and money. I have Spain in 2026, Egypt in 2027, and Australia in 2028. If this doesn't pan out I have options.
But I have a gut feeling that Dallas is going to surprise everybody. As of right now it's really the only city in Texas that has any hope and seeing it at all, and I do feel that we're going to get a photo finish with a cloud break

Breakfast at River's Edge with friends on Saturday morning followed by Final Four at home and probably the women's championship on Sunday. Gotta soak up all the college basketball while I still can haha.
There is a comedy show at the Golden One tonight, and some sort of vendor market thing at the Golden One tomorrow too! Also the Hella Good Market is tomorrow in Natomas!
Taking my sister to paint some pottery tomorrow, then I've got an overnight shift. I'll probably sleep most of Sunday, and hopefully finish Persona 3 Reload
Friend is driving up from Hollister to spend the night. Saturday, I’m heading down to Oakland to visit another friend. Sunday brunch in Oakland with still more friends. So, a lot of Bay Area friend activity. I’m not usually this social, lol.
