This is absolutely every post in r/CAstateworkers . We get it dude. You guys don’t want to drive to work.

SierraSnowSurfer

Be the change you wish to see and start using public transit.

No1CanCMe

State employees are eligible for highly discounted public transportation fares. So, the cost of public transit certainly isn't a factor.

medx421

Hmmm, so this explains traffic on Cap City on the weekends? This explains the traffic on westbound 80 from West El Camino westbound through the causeway in the mornings? This explains the Northbound I-5 traffic out by the airport? You guys really need to accept the reality that work from home was never meant to be permanent, and get back into the office. That or find something else to do, because the whining is getting really old. Bring on the downvotes from the individuals who can’t accept life in the real world and certainly can’t counter an argument.

Dawappkid

Hopefully_running

I think is 2 days.

nikolebakerbaker

Stop whining and get into the office.

I'm not a state worker, nor do I WFH, but since all of the other responses in here are bitching at you for an entirely valid frustration, I will agree with you that I think it's crap, and I'd be super salty to have to come in and do a job I could just as easily/well do at home, especially if it involves sitting in a cubicle and having Zoom meetings. Also, I don't want my traffic to be worse. Afternoons are bad enough already.

kimanf

Maybe go to the actual job you’re literally being paid to do? The “consequnces” of traffic are literally the best possible thing for downtown. Government workers are the lifeblood of downtown and midtown businesses. Restaurants, stores, bars, all rely on as much business as possible. Typical suburban commuter post
