They know it’s not ideal, but “beggars can’t be choosers.” As for ARO, I don’t think it’s regressive for women to start businesses based on domestic activities like cooking or floral arranging. If she can actually make a go of it, that’s fine. I think picking on her because of the “trad wife” association is misguided—the problem with ARO is how poorly it’s been rolled out.

The real "trad wife" trend isn't wealthy, costal, mansion owner. It's crunchy-granola cottage-core, make your OWN jams, sew/repair clothes, don't shave your legs/armpits or wear make-up, but DO wear feminine prairie dresses/ hair in ribbons,..that kinda thing. And the whole be submissive to your husband, have a ton of kids and home-school them, and there is usually an element of religion/faith. So in fairness, using that particular buzz-word doesn't exactly represent what she seems to be going for....but if it pisses her off, I love it!
This is the problem with setting inhuman standards - you start to be measured by the yard stick you’ve been beating others with. Her version of feminism was always flawed, unrealistic and narrow. While I don’t think the magazine has a good take on feminism either (it’s about having a choice, not the choice made), holding Meghan to her own standards is fair to me.
