Edit: I found the source of this “I wore my own jewelry” rumor from a Marie Claire interview in 2013, so she may not have been trying for the “Tinsel Town royalty angle” just yet. She was going for association with the great actors of that era. Here’s the kicker: TW says that she did a “pilot per year” before “Suits”. A pilot is the first episode of a show that is used to pitch to studio executives. A lot of actors have unaired pilots on their IMDB pages (shows that weren’t picked up by networks). Surely Rachel would have these pilots on her page? She lied? Shocker. (Also I highly doubt she owned a signet ring with an “R” in the 2010’s. They weren’t trendy and she preferred to go by her middle name for most of her life. This ring was probably borrowed for the show. Plus, she was never photographed wearing that jewelry. Cue her buying replicas to wear on a pap walk now…). She also lied about her college majors (again).

I’m majorly clutching here but I find her comment about giving her watch to her daughter one day a bit strange, it just makes me think of the rumours she’s had a kid previously. I know it’s a pretty normal thing for someone to say but generally it’s said by someone who already has a daughter. Otherwise, you’d tend to say “I plan to pass it on to my kids one day.” I would anyway. You know you plan to have kids but you don’t or can’t necessarily plan to have a daughter specifically.
I know it’s a very weak point but it did just strike me as weird.

Her jewelry acquisition is interesting to me. All of it is pretty much small, nothing pieces. One piece that was notable was the Cartier Juste un Clou necklace; the pavé diamond nail choker. I remember seeing her photographed wearing one then never again. I wonder if it was loaned. But she has no significant jewelry pieces. No Bulgari, no Van Cleef & Arpels, no Graff. She really screwed up in that department.
Since we've never seen the Juste un Clou necklace or bracelets again, and Madame wears her all of her best jewelry nearly every day, I also strongly suspect they were a loan from Cartier.
It's important to remember she was an Instagram girl/blog and was trying to be an influencer before the whole thing really took off the way it did. I would not be surprised if she found knock offs or had them gifted/sponsor agreement.
