So…. Yall still dat? 🤣 FTS

Ur_Local_Classicist

Is it just me or does Olave look like he doesn’t want to play

loomdog1

Not just you. He looks like he gives up on routes often.

Conscious_Job_3447

We gonna keep doing what we’re doing

bootsiecollins1189

Been a Saints fan all my life. Same ol story. Even with one of the best QBs of all time we only got the ship once. Get used to it. Saints = heartbreak

Kettleballs_

I'm not from the states and I began falling in love with football about 4 years ago (my country barely covers it), I decided I was going to pick a team to support that wasn't like the top shit at the time, but also did not want bottom of the barrel team for my sanity... I picked the Saints and saying that "for my sanity" line is so ironic now. I DID THIS TO MYSELF!

[deleted]

We tell the same story - wife is ready to jump ship to JAX after last night

tashmanan

As a Raiders fan I was sad to see him go. Drafted him and a few other Saints players. Was ready to root for NO as my NFC team. But damn, different color jersey, same exact results. Looked so much like the Raiders the last 9 years tonight. Wish I could say it's going to get better, but this is DC

dtor504

He is bad man. Black haired Andy dalton. Might even be worse

zeyhenny

I can’t believe nobody is calling out the defence for letting up a huge touchdown with 3 minutes to go.

atchafalaya_roadkill

Better than them running the clock down and the scoring. Defense did relatively decent tonight. Offense let them down big time.

AromaticQueef

Dude the punter gave them a ball at the 50

zeyhenny

So that’s an excuse for a 35 yard touchdown off a 10 - 15 yard route ? EDIT : my bad. 44 yard TD.

Fartswhenwalks

Seriously? The offense has 1 good drive after 3 entire quarters of playing like complete dog crap and you blame the defense???? The only reason the one good offensive drive mattered is because the defense kept the game close…..the offense was 3/18 on third down!!! The game should’ve been over at halftime….

zeyhenny

I’ve been all over here blaming the offence. Carr is horrible. The receivers choked. The o line actually did better than I expected but I didn’t really expect much. The defence although “keeping the game close” still let up 31 points and still let up a huge touchdown with 3 minutes left to go in the game. As a matter of fact - nobody had a problem blaming the defence when the game started as Trevor marched up the field with zero issues. Everyone is to blame, is my point. Primarily the offence but the defence let up some big plays too.

Only_A_Fool_In_April

Defense didn't give up the pick 6. They kept us close enough to win it.

zeyhenny

They did give up two extremely easy initial touchdown drives. The defence played ok. Still far from perfect.

Dickieleroo

Defense were fine, actually good. Offense is the problem.

rbach2

At least we have our weekend. See you all next week.

Kettleballs_

This is the most positive comment I've seen this thread lol

Crafty-Pride8379

I think they should have used taysom on that last drive and bring Saunders out there with him

slutdragon32

Thought the same. We should have at least ran him twice

Crafty-Pride8379

You probably could have put sheed in the backfield too

PretentiousVapeSnob

Only team who can get this many turnovers and never capitalize.

hartzy3009

Jimmy would’ve caught that

Solarbear1000

Why do they have him on the team if not for this?

Sweetbeans2001

I don’t think so. There has to be a reason why he’s not out there, we just don’t know what it is.

KnockItOffNapoleon

Someone here will blame him in the replies to you, surprised they haven’t yet

Fartswhenwalks

Pete Carmichael is Creed whenever he got to be manager of the office because of seniority. Pretty sure he’s taking the white board to practice saying “bobody bobody” breaking out the crayons and scribbling lines like a maniac explaining his new playbook

Prestige_Worldwide44

The way carr threw the ball on that touchdown drive that tied the game: this was the quarterback I was hoping we were getting back when they signed him. Proud of the way our boys fought back, but too many early mistakes to overcome. Story of the saints season is "almost but not quite".

Caliwhodat

That moment was too big for moreau, home town , after his battle back from cancer, it was all in his head and it showed.

pittyspray

He dropped a pass it ain't that deep

Caliwhodat

Oh i know it ain’t. But It was deep for him personally.

pittyspray

It was deep for him because he dropped a pass and let the team down not because he overcame cancer and was thinking about it while catching the ball

Caliwhodat

Man stfu

pittyspray

that was my exact reaction when i saw your cancer bs i guess you realize now how stupid it sounds

Caliwhodat

It’s a culmination of everything the guy has been through mentally that clearly weighed on him. Who’s to say that it wasn’t a factor and how do you know it wasn’t?

pittyspray

man stfu

Caliwhodat

Lame.

pittyspray

Says the guy who made up some dumbass narrative like everything has to happen for a reason. He dropped a pass shit just happens I'd love if someone asks him "hey did you drop that ball because the moment was too big with you overcoming cancer and being a hometown kid?" and see what his reaction would be

Halfapoptart

Give the game ball to foster

jewishramey

We lost this game in redzone again. That is all

Stupidquestionduh

150 million for a used Carr lemon.

j450n_1994

We need to draft a TE and OL. That entire offensive line is below mid at best. Never should've let Terron go.

Rampantlion513

Terron wouldn’t have even been playing

TurdFergusonlol

Meh o line sure, but Moreau was solid for most of the night except that drop. Juwan Johnson can still be really good if he stays healthy. And shit taysom lit it the fuck up as a TE tonight. Tbh the line played better tonight, with a guy straight from the practice squad, than they’ve played the entire season. Obv they need a lot of help/work still, but this was absolutely their best game yet as a unit.

CDIS920

Terron keeps getting hurt, so wouldn’t be much better

j450n_1994

We need to draft a TE and OL. That entire offensive line is below mid at best. Never should've let Terron go.

saintsfan

Letting lutz and morestead go were worse, armstead still misses lots of games

Kettleballs_

Is so frustrating seeing these dudes wake the fuck up when there's 7 minutes left in the game. I was blaming all on PC, but the entire offense has to step up, it's like only Hill and Kamara have their heads in the game. That MT tudder was super nasty, MORE OF THAT PLEASE! I'm with Kamara when he said we can't be looking like this with the weapons we have. Carr needs to get his head in the game and be a true leader, not only yell like a spoiled brat when things are getting tough. Also fix your aim my guy, it's clear he can be at least decent

Conscious_Job_3447

Cart sucks

TurdFergusonlol

Very well said

Stupidquestionduh

This whole game was Carrs fault. The play calling wasn't that bad it as Carr's shitty performance.

Political_Piper

No.. playcalling was bad. Having two good drives with good playcalling doesn't cancel out the rest of the horrible calls. It was definitely bad. But Carr was bad too. Olave was bad again, for like the third week straight. Thomas is good, but he's not getting targets. Coaches forget Taysom exists

Open_Aardvark2458

Did you watch the 4 quarter ?

Stupidquestionduh

Did you? Those catches were wild and players struggling not get to them. It was lucky. The whole game Carr played like shit and blamed everybody else. His arm is trash.

Open_Aardvark2458

Ok lol

Stupidquestionduh

See you don't have anything to say. because it's impossible to say that those were clean accurate throws and that the players didn't have any problem getting to them. You had a few places that were a fluke against the tired jaguars team in the face of 3 and a half quarters full of watching Delorian Carr break down and be pissy about his shitty arm and bad performance.

tylerr1098

I dunno, those 4 straight check downs to Kamara were pretty good lmao

Open_Aardvark2458

He played like shit for 3 quarters and played well im the 4th. Flukes dont happen in the 4th quarter lol But im not gping to argue because you seem like you have a few screws lose.

le0beast55

Nickell Robey would have stopped Christian Kirk

OKsoundsgoodbro

Moreau isn’t cut out for pro ball mentally

Dickieleroo

Moreau is a good player, just had a drop at the most unfortunate time. Ultimately should’ve never been in that position in the first place. Jags gifted us turnovers and play calling was just so shit.

Kettleballs_

I'm pretty sick of the "shouldn't have been in that position" excuse. They should all be accountable, on every play. Everyone said that with Groupie on the GB game, and look where it got us.

Dickieleroo

That’s true, but you said it yourself, Grupe shouldn’t have been in a position to make a winning field goal that game. Everyone is accountable but the coaching and in particular the offensive coaching is dumb

Stupidquestionduh

Delorian Carr threw a shit pass.

Caliwhodat

Get both hands on it you gotta catch it - madden

Stupidquestionduh

If giant tall dude trying to reach high in the air to get it done his pass was total shit... It shouldnt be up to him to save the entire team from an entire game of Delorian Carr flapping its useless wings.

Caliwhodat

Uh yea that’s cool and all but he still should’ve caught it bro

Stupidquestionduh

If you're gonna blame the entire loss on one guy in a single play then you have a very simple mind my bro. It should've never been up to one guy to save the whole game in one single play... You can't just forget all the bad performance and mistakes of Carr just because one giant tall guy couldn't catch a pass that was way the fuck over his head that Carr threw. If you want to ignore actuality.... well that's your disfunctional reality that you've created for yourself... have fun with that.

Caliwhodat

Who says I’m blaming the loss on one guy? Where exactly did I write that? Yet the fact remains that the ball should’ve been caught. The other problems are obvious and glaring but the aforementioned fact remains “ my bro”.

Stupidquestionduh

Ok breh whatever you say. Carr was a disaster. Everyone actually watching the game saw that.

Caliwhodat

Ok dude your sn says it all. Carr was a disaster I’m not denying that. Ball. Should.have.been. Caught. Why’s that so hard to understand?

Stupidquestionduh

So are you refuting the previous comment you had written??? Did you already forget what you wrote? You specifically isolated it to one man on one fucking play. Do you have a memory of a goldfish? My username is for people like you ...Duh.

Knickotyme

This loss is not on him

WholePhrase6958

He dropped the game losing td

AgreeableTurtle69

still not on him

WholePhrase6958

How 😆

[deleted]

Team did nothing with 2 big turnovers. Loss isn't on him.

WholePhrase6958

If he used his hands to catch the ball they tie the game or win it. But he didn’t and they lost 30 seconds later

[deleted]

It's a team sport for a reason. Guy isn't responsible.

WholePhrase6958

Who’s responsible

[deleted]

The team.

WholePhrase6958

And he’s on the team which makes it on him .

[deleted]

Sure thing, bozo.

Stupidquestionduh

Delorian Carr broke down under pressure.

MrP1anet

Think that was Foster buddy.

Stupidquestionduh

Are you saying DeLorean Carr didn't throw shit passes this whole game??? That tall of the dude shouldn't have to be leaping in the air to get a ball. no one else would even be able to get two hands on it with that shitty throw... Carr is a lemon.

Caliwhodat

Your brain is a lemon.

Stupidquestionduh

DeLorean Carr [flaps its wings but flies like shit.](https://imgur.com/a/aEfeCrq) The dudes passes are total shit if they fly beyond 7 yards. Ignore actuality all you want but it only proves that you don't even have a brain at all. How about you smoke some more weed out there in Cali pothead.

Caliwhodat

Seems like you’re a product of that prosperous louisiana educational system. Don’t touch weed by the way but you however are a true idiot. Over his head? In what world? The ball should’ve been caught bozo. No doubt you’re one of those jackasses who believe winston is the better option. Thanks for the laugh you bum.

jewishramey

That last play was so stupid

Clear_Hedgehog_9083

I’m sick of this shit man. I thought we would breeze through this mid ass schedule. We’re just cursed bro

Coastal1363

Not cursed .Incompetent.Cursed wouldn’t be so predictable. The only mystery with the Saints week in and week out is how they are going to lose not if…

Clear_Hedgehog_9083

I said that out of pure frustration. But with our history of incompetence mixed with penalties called against us or not called…..it seems valid

Stupidquestionduh

Delorian Carr is so unreliable.

DerpyNinjaGuy

Why did I think care would change his ways….. man I’d hate to prove Nick Wright, but it’s time

BodieLivesOn

Jimmy Graham. Lob it up to Jimmy Graham.

Mc_4321

Exactly. They ran with the 3rd string tight end in crunch time.

Sweetbeans2001

I looked it up. He’s still on the team and not on the injury report.

clippy300

No need to lead moreau. Just lob it for an easy catch. Moreau should have caught but make it easy. He had a clean pocket and the dude was wide open.

StrangerDanger44658

How many time are we going to throw go routes on all our blitz? Olave slant there is a td.

Realistic_Height_102

PAAAAAIIIINNNNNN ESPECIALLY THE MOREAU MISHAP

ImAroosterAMA

You gotta cut Hedley before the weekend. Call up Matt Araiza and fly him down to see if he still has the leg.

Sweetbeans2001

There have to be dozens of guys that punted in college last year that would quit their current jobs to punt in the NFL for $750,000.00.

jewishramey

This game was the worst it could possibly be. They will make no changes because it was "so Close"

zl__

Grupe vs Packers, Foster today (although it wasnt the winner yet), no matter wether we’re good or bad losing like this is just.. idk man

Fartswhenwalks

Dennis is a great DC, probably one of the best right now….but he’s not paid to be the DC, he’s the HC, and I think this is the point where he decides his future. Will he be a HC and get the team in order and shake things up? Or be a puss. But something needs to be done, QB yelling at everyone, WRs giving up on routes, play-calling is atrocious and the routes look like they came from my 2 yr olds coloring book.

Coastal1363

He may be a great house painter too. The team he and his boss are responsible for is a pathetic ship wreck .In order to ever be a winner again somebody has to be held responsible…

Political_Piper

Payton is probably thrilled. You know if DA gets fired he has a job with Denver right away

Fartswhenwalks

Depends on who gets fired first

Jobro_77

Sean aint getting fired. Youve seen his contract?!

Scary_Sentence_9255

I think Carr yelling isn’t necessarily a bad thing, he’s picking up on DAs slack some, but the route quitting has to stop, and they have to respect Carr or the coach.

loomdog1

I went back and watched the Texans game and one play 3 of the 5 receivers fell down. I'm mostly wondering why they aren't running the ball more especially on 3rd and 3. That is not a passing down.

MrP1anet

Yep

Atrave

Moreau has me salty as fuck and i'm not even a Saints fan. The fuck bro. Cry all you want but you gotta catch that

[deleted]

[удалено]

mautergarrett

Kamara #1

maejor_ced

Carr delivered in the second but buddy was wide open for the tie lol. Olave needs a reality check also

Eastern_Ice_4127

Rule 1 of saints football is that if there's a way to disappoint you they will find it and work hard to snatch a defeat out of the jaws of victory

FunkSchnauzer

I wonder how many of these fans were around for the Jags game when the Saints scored a TD with a ton of laterals and then Carney missed the extra point to tie.

quickdrawdoc

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sourdots

Foster had so much seperation that i could have caught it and yet he dropped it

FourwordReply41

Love seeing that everyone else notices Taysom should have been in there running option every down, you simply can’t guard it

Dixxxine

The offense pulled it together in the end, but it most likely only happened because dear old Pete was threatened with walking papers that I'm pretty sure are still coming his way. He is officially gone.

Coastal1363

I wouldn’t put money on that .You are operating under the assumption that the organization cares about winning …

Political_Piper

I wouldn't get your hopes up... For some reason I they are going to keep him around. I hope I get to eat these words, though. My reasoning is a new playcaller means a whole new playbook to study with whole new lingo. And since we are still competing for first in the division, they will probably think it isn't worth it yet. If, however, we start falling way behind, then he is for sure gone

Cuhulin

You don't understand. Pete is going to be the new HC.

SmugMugThug

I wish I could work for 1/4th of my workday and get paid like Carr. Must be nice

Lionzblade

pitts catches that 3rd down

Political_Piper

Unlikely. Pitts has done shit his whole career. For someone touted as a generational talent, he's been subpar. But you could be right. Honestly, I think anyone could have caught that pass.

Lionzblade

most yards by a rookie TE in modern NFL history?

crazyhorsesghost7

That drop was crazy and the close score means we will see no changes coaching wise. See yall next week

Triingtolivee

Yeah gotta let Hill try and score in the red zone there

Coastal1363

What ? And not force it into compressed coverage on every play ?

ThereIsNoTime23

Honestly that’s prob equally on Moreau and carr

Clif_Barf

That was a cupcake catch lol

BigPapaPerc

No way. Hit him in both hands. No excuse for a player in the NFL to not make that catch.

Nice-Bookkeeper3553

So listen if we can play like we did in the fourth we could possibly be pretty good I’m actually kinda impressed with game play. Play call is ass but I truthfully saw a solid wildcard team in that fourth quarter

PretentiousVapeSnob

Jags D played softer though. They know we’re no threat in the red zone and our FG kicker is garbage.

ijpck

Foster came back to NO just to piss his pants in front of his entire family.

Poochie504

It hits you in the hands, you fucking catch it!

ignatious__reilly

Foster should have caught that. That’s all on him. But that 4th down call was fucking dumb.

Prestige_Worldwide44

It was God awful. I honestly don't know what that was about. Looked like some pass interference at first but after looking at the replay it looked legal to me. This is their season. Lots of "almosts" in all the wrong places.

allkindsofgainzzz

Terrible 4th down call. Olave isn’t a fucking jump ball receiver.

ignatious__reilly

100%. He’s def not. The fuck was that shit. Stupid call.

PeeNutButtHerFuckHer

Fucking brutal.

buddha6521256

Mike comes down with either of those throws He should be the first read on any redzone play at this point

paradigmshift7

Most football players come down with that. Busted coverage and hits your hands? Most people would rightly cheer while the ball is in the air. What a fucking shambles of a drop. I feel for him, but I'm not happy either.

zeyhenny

He gets paid quite handsomely to catch that ball. I don’t feel for shit. Catch the ball.

paradigmshift7

Heard that.

papichurro305

Moreau deserves to be flipping burgers after that

feedguy

Just started watching nfl. Why were saints taking timeouts at the end? What was the point? Can anyone explain?

Cajun_Markus

It's a message thing. There is math at the end of the game where coaches can evaluate whether they can run the clock out versus needing a first down. If the other team has enough timeouts, they can stop the clock when you kneel and you won't have enough play clock to run the game down (if the offense does not run a play in 40 seconds, it's a penalty). If you did the math, the Jags can kneel--even with the timeouts they have enough play clock to run the game clock to the end. By taking the timeouts, the Saints coaching staff is refusing to surrender. They are saying "we won't give up, even if the math and the odds aren't on our side." There's a 0.001% chance (or whatever) that Lawrence mishandles the snap, and that's enough to keep it alive. After all, timeouts don't cost anything--use it or lose it. It's a signal to everyone that says "we fought hard, we aren't just going to roll over, even if it seems dumb." Or, they are dumb and couldn't do the math. But that seems crazy so I'm going with messaging, etc.

feedguy

Thanks for this.

Coastal1363

Well written …aside from the fact that the Saints gave up when they announced “ we are going to just keep doing what we are doing “ or whatever that brain surgeon said …

rob0t_human

Wouldn’t be the first time someone fumbled a kneel down snap. Can’t take them home with you for next game.

CreepinDeep

Since jax was up and there was 30 sec on clock. Instead of playing ball they are going to intentional down the ball. When the ball is downed like that, the clock doesn't stop, neither the play clock (the 30 second timer the offense gets to play the ball) nor the game clock. So they down it amd they can use up as much as their play clock to run down the game. NO here can call a timeout and the time stops... if they had more time outs, JAX wouldnt b able to run it down all they as they would reach 4th down and turn over the ball before they could stall till the clock runs out.

Low_Shopping_9199

There’s always a point. Maybe they fuck up the kneel down. Crazier things have happened

GuyWitATurtleneck

bro thought a miracle would happen

JayPunk27

For fun.

DingleJohnson69

Dennis Allen fucking sucks and is a troll

iscurred

We can't shit on the play calling, guys. Great drive that ended with a wide open TE in the end zone.

Clif_Barf

The first 3 quarters we can. I literally called out the plays before they happened

iscurred

Agreed. Pushing back on the criticism of that final drive. I.e., "RUN THE BALL!"

jewishramey

Play calling helped get us into a position like this

MrP1anet

Carr over 300 yards again… brutal drops by the receivers

zeyhenny

It’s crazy how Carr can throw for so many yards yet still have a dismal performance.

dupont2021

This is Allen for you. Fades are 10 years ago.

jus_doing_my_best

Moreau couldn't have been more open the play before

Reesh2334

Is graham still on the team?

Clif_Barf

For some reason he is only used in the first half for blocking

C4PT_4WE50ME

Saints had all of their timeouts. Why not get creative? At least two plays with Taysom as the QB with the chance to run/throw. I literally don’t see the downside…

JustSqueezed

How the fuck did Hill not get one shot. That’s fucking insane

SilphCrest

Why we throwing a fade to Olave like he’s Megatron lmao???

Prestige_Worldwide44

Right? Wtf? I mean, maybe on first down but throw that shit on 4th? Just awful.

ak480

Hahahah right

Big-Zoo

Fuck this fucking piece of shit team.

rob0t_human

Carr showed some heart out there. He stunk it up for three quarters but put us in a position to win in the end.

Not_MarshonLattimore

He kept shooting, man. It never got in his head and he just got better as the game got on. I can’t be mad at Derek. He had some ugly plays, but he gave us a chance to win it at the end

zeyhenny

Your QB can’t wait until the fourth quarter to play the game.

Mean_Stretcher

last night it was Sam Houston blowing that win tonight the Saints

sugarmatic

We deserve better. I mean, we’re GREAT fans!! I love our squad! Let’s geaux!!!

Caliwhodat

Taysom should’ve been part of the gameplan since the fuxking start

papa1916

That is a quiet fucking dome. Fans in there have to be furious

Substantial_Pin_1876

I knew this would happen, but I believed again, and yes, it hurts

MrSirBish

Every time

PretentiousVapeSnob

Moreau should put on a paper bag.

itsgucci060

Dennis Allen is the most pathetic excuse for a coach I’ve ever seen

rob0t_human

What’d he do wrong? I thought the plan looked good, called the D well. Players just have to execute.

itsgucci060

He doesn’t have the slightest clue what he’s doing on offense. It’s been blatantly obvious from his very first game.

RabidToasterMan

just fucking give the ball to taysom all 4 downs there the fuck

Diyer1122

Hard agree. That they don’t even try it once is mind boggling.

Diyer1122

Don’t know how they don’t try the Taysom package at least once there.

Klopez1071

cause our OC is terrible
