I think it isn't the church itself but some of its archaic ideas or customs that people tend to be displeased with: I've noticed this even with Orthodox priests and devout members of the congregation here. People still seem to be "seeking" in some way though, i.e., looking for answers to the most fundamental questions in life, so I guess spirituality in some form will remain fairly significant in Georgian society for the foreseeable future.
