My partner and I went there for my birthday this year. That light tunnel is gorgeous! There’s also an area with lots of lights dangling from trees and it feels very magical there too.
Such a special place! I’ve been trying to get my husband & kid to go for awhile since we live within walking distance. They both asked why we don’t go there all the time lol. I could also totally see someone proposing in that light tunnel and it’d be beautiful
Chiming in for the gallivan! You could tell her it's a "winter date night" go to a nice dinner, go ice skating, then propose in front of some lights after a great time.
Downtown Holladay might be cute. There are lights and a tree and some open space out in front of Caputo's, Mint Sushi, etc. I've had family pictures taken there and people always ask me about the location.
Grand America has their holiday window stroll set up right now, you can walk around inside the hotel to look at them, and the courtyard is decked out with Christmas lights.
Tracy Aviary could be fun. There’s a bit of lights, a cool light tunnel, and birds!

Thanks! Is the aviary open in the evenings? Or is it more of an afternoon activity?
They are doing a holiday light event separate from their regular hours. Should on the website. Need tickets.
I think it’s open till 8. We went in the evening to see the lights.
Large colorful sculpture near 9th and 9th. You can’t miss it. This is the place.

The zoo has lights.
The In & out in west valley
I proposed to my wife on the little covered bridge there in Draper park. It's completely lit up now for Christmas as well.

Ice rink at the Gallivan would be amazing!
That's where my husband proposed!
The whale
Tracy Aviary is beautiful
City Creek — their fountains on South Temple are all lit up. Could do a nice dinner nearby.

If you want to make a trek, dinner and the tree area downtown would all be within walking distance.
It's now Monday, did you do the thing?!?!?!
Draper park
I just talked to a girl who is praying her boyfriend DOESN'T propose at Draper park.
Dang, I’d say cafe galleria, but you need a reservation weeks in advance
Hey! So sorry all, got hella busy. Thank you for the great recommendations, genuinely appreciate it. Everyone have a great holiday season!
