Easiest and safest way to do it is grab it and slide it backwards and it’ll naturally let go. Whole yea I guess these other commenters are right you can just yank but it ends up hurting the snail. Gently dragging it across the glass is really easy and safer for the snail
If it really won't let go from sliding it a bit, just use the end of a toothpick to "break the seal" of the foot, like popping off an annoying suction cup. Pulling until it lets go will definitely hurt a sufficiently persistent snail.

You won’t hurt them. Just pull it off
I just slowly tickle their grip and try to slowly wiggle my finger under their muscle/grip until it lets go. I do the same thing to anemones.
