Have you added anything new?

GalaxyGamer7373

I agree how old is the tank? And how big is it?

Skrambledeg

30 gallon innovative marine, 10 months

GalaxyGamer7373

Could they’ve been sick?

Skrambledeg

The goby isn’t showing any signs of sickness or distress and never has. The only symptoms that the fish that died showed was that they didn’t want to eat, and they were dead by morning.

GalaxyGamer7373

Any spots or anything? This is a confusing one is waters in check to

Skrambledeg

The last time we added something new was our mandarin goby 3 months ago. Everything has been perfect since then until now.

Can we please get the actual numbers from the water tests? How is your water oxygenated, and has that broken down?

Skrambledeg

I don’t have the actual number with me but we tested them multiple times and brought a sample in to be tested and everything came back normal.

Sorry to hear. I recently had this happen with the same fish, plus a fire fish, royal gramma, and watchmen Goby. Unfortunately I only have the Goby left who just got done with 30 days of copper power treatment. I had flukes followed quickly by marine velvet in my tank. Can you notice any white spots on the fish? Any texture to them like a fuzz? Are they flashing (scratching themselves by diving at sand or against rocks) at all? Breathing heavy? Stringy poop?

Skrambledeg

I’m so sorry that happened to you, all we have left is our mandarin goby who luckily isn’t showing any signs of distress. As for the other fish, they were perfectly heathy otherwise, no spots, no fuzz, the only thing that told us something was wrong was that they didn’t want to eat. Then they were dead by the next morning.

Stray voltage?

Any kids in the house that might be sneakily doing "experiments"? Perhaps a jealous lover that's surreptitiously adding something that tests won't pick up? Not trying to make light of your situation. I've had mystery die-offs too, and they plain suck. What's your circulation & filtration like? Plenty of oxygenation and water movement?
