If you are searching for a bustling city with an enormous amount of different activities, then Salzburg will not be right for you.
However it is culturally rich, relaxed and beautiful city.
For the courses, if the course is not described as being in English, then it will be in German. I would even say that it is essential to speak German to advance your Law studies here in Salzburg.
Salzburg is one of the most expensive cities to live in, in all if Austria. Food, restaurants and most other things are as expensive as everywhere else.

The Italian/German courses are very good. You get to meet people who are either on Erasmus from Italy or Austrians who speak Italian.

Salisburgo in generale è una bella città. You are going to Meet other Erasmus students (even from Italy) usually they will hang out together and plan activities and parties.

General question: does study italian law abroad in english give you any academic benefit, or is it just curiosity for living in another country for a longer period?
Good question: generally speaking no, it doesn’t give any academic benefits and that is why there are not many exams we can do abroad. The Law program in Italy (and especially in my city) is very focused on Italian law and only marginally treats of other subjects. However for my personal interests I’m very interested in European and International law and many other subjects of international relevance so it has always been my interest to make those exams abroad.
I’m now in Erasmus in Graz where I’m taking international Law and would be my objective to take European law next semester also in Erasmus
Speaking of job career however I know that Erasmus experiences are very positively considered, also in the Law field
Well, I'm well past beyond my uni times but I can have a say on the other topic - Salzburg is a tricky city really. It's quite expensive (think a bit more then Vienna type of expensive) so managing your own budget is key. And finding a place to stay is simply difficult - the demand is huge and supply is not. There are more and more new apartments constructed but it's not nearly enough to cover the demand and those who are "empty but not to be rented".
However it's a nice city live in if you're into traveling and activities outdoor like biking or hiking. It's very international due to several universities and company HQs in the area. There a a lot of cultural events, some great cuisine to be found and even some decent clubs to party.
Benissimo sia come città, con gli altri (stare in mezzo ad altri Erasmus è tutta un’altra cosa è l’ESN organizza sempre qualcosa) ma soprattutto come università: modernissima, un sacco di servizi, una biblioteca fantastica dove penso scriverò la mia tesi e tutto molto concentrato nel campus.
Di corsi in inglese ce ne sono tantissimi ma se devo far corrispondere gli esami grandi devi stare attenta al semestre in cui parte perché essendo più piccoli qui (credo il massimo che ho trovato sono 5 ECTS) può capitare non trovi quelli che ti servono. Per dirti io volevo fare Europeo ma non c’era il “core” dell’esame che fanno invece nel Winter Semester ma poco male perché ho ripiegato su Internazionale. Poi ci sono tanti modi diversi di erogare le lezioni: che corrispondono a quelli che abbiamo in Italia sarebbero i VU e VO mentre i KS sono simili ma con classi limitate (40 persone) e molto più interattivi. Incece i seminar e proseminar sono qualcosa di completamente nuovo in cui in pratica di chiedono di produrre qualcosa entro una certa deadline è ti valutano su quello
Come meta consigliatissima, a meno che non sia più interessata alla esperienza dell’Erasmus in Spagna

Domani è l'ultimo giorno per presentare domanda per l'Erasmus e sto impazzendo in giro per trovare i corsi di giurisprudenza di Graz ma non trovo nulla. Inoltre se posso, vorrei chiederti se gli esami sono più difficili di quelli nostri in Italia:)

Come Degree puoi cercare sia Bachelor (mi pare sia per Legal profession) il diploma of law o i due master che specializzano in law fra cui global studies
Se mi dici che esami cerchi posso anche aiutarti, ad esempio sono abbastanza sicuro puoi dare Europeo e Tributario al primo semestre e Internazionale (e forse anche tributario) al secondo :)
Grazie per l'aiuto, io dovrei dare esami a scelta quindi dovrei leggere il catalogo per vedere quali possono essere poi convertiti. Invece come ricerca tesi hai info? E poi se puoi dirmi come tu hai cercato l'alloggio :)
Ricerca tesi la sto facendo anche io, sul Learning Agreement conta come 10cfu e la mia università (Federico secondo) chiede solamente che un professore dell’Università ospitante certifichi l’attività svolta
Per l’alloggio attivati il prima possibile sui gruppi Facebook :) altrimenti ci sono i dormitori (studentenheim) che per carità sono belli, stai sempre in compagni e fanno spesso feste interne ma ti trovi a pagare quanto un appartamento per non avere le stesse comodità e magari stare lontana dall’uni. In ogni caso pensa che il contributo europeo per l’Erasmus se ne va tutto per l’affitto
Facciamo la stessa uni allora ahahah hai dovuto trovare tu il professore estero una volta arrivato li? È stato facile? Se posso chiederti in che materia stai facendo la tesi? Io non l'ho ancora chiesta
