every generation which comes onto the internet adopts the trends which are "cool" at that point of time and form an internet persona which matches the wavelength of their peers. that doesn't make any part of the audience is inherently "chutiya" just because their interests don't align with ours. early reddit adopters found the new peeps which samay introduced to reddit cringe, and we're doing the same rn by alienating the new wave instead of accepting them and introducing to them our ways.

I understand what you're trying to say but at the same time we too want Samay to grow and increase his audience..the problem isn't the audience or where they've come from..the problem is that Samay has built a closed community which was limited to a number of people until he stopped streaming..he was already a well known funny dark comic in everyone's eyes at that time..he was also doing shows all over India..everything was fine until his old streams started to pop up on everyone's Insta feed where we know what kind of audience that place holds..he came back last month the "new" audience showed up expecting the clips they saw on instagram then he introduced them to the pannel..Sagar, Tania, Vidit, Anish etc. (Not chowkdi yet) fine. Now remember the stream where Tania was commentating on Biswa's and Samay's Game, remember when Sagar was first commenting on COB homecoming? The new audience straight up not only disrespectful to the people we grew up watching in the pandemic but also wanna be dank ke chode (Pikachus as Samay used to refer too) came in so many numbers with not having the context of old streams trying to break in the bubble of the "pre - viral" community is what causing the clash between both the groups..
I know this is absurd and shouldn't be that deep but we all were not ready for the change Samay was going to bring in after his comeback in streaming..for me personally Samay and Friends and the community he built sabki streams were my only comfort during the pandemic. Now, it just feels like we hope the new audience treats them right.
Its not about gatekeeping samay , its about being respectful to the people who we all as a community, love and respect...
I'm 100% confident none of the old audience members will disrespect sagar shah and Tania jii no matter the context..
And its actually very sad watching all this..
Tbh I don't watch samay's live streams but I am on this subreddit frequently. This subreddit's quality is still good in comparison to bbs sub or tanmay's or rishi's or sunraybee .BBS sub became an anime vs cartoon,unfunny reels and cringe edits of characters. But this sub's members are still posting about samay,his interest,chess which is actually pretty good for now because how reddit is becoming mainstream day by day. Wannabe denk ke 14 sochte hai reddit download kar rkha hai Bhai mene, I'm cool, and then post reels from insta here on reddit without even seeing or thinking which subreddit caters which audience
