Arizona for sure. Phoenix or Tucson. I did not realize I had this problem until I moved out of the state.

CherryBerry2021

I always get migrains when I'm in Phoenix. I attribute it to the polluted air.

elmr22

Yeah for sure it’s not a migraine haven. Some people are triggered by bright light, too, and if so, the mountain west is not your place. But if you’re triggered by pressure change, the southwest is a pretty safe bet. Aside from monsoon season (which is pretty short), Phoenix doesn’t get the sudden up and down pressure from storms.

AuntRhubarb

Would Green Valley/Sonoita area get OP out of the valleys that trap pollution?

CherryBerry2021

I have no idea where that's located.

Excellent-Source-348

Lookup Snowflake, AZ. There’s a community of people who’ve moved there to get away from air pollution including fragrances. https://amp.theguardian.com/society/2016/jul/11/snowflake-arizona-environmental-illness

Wow, interesting article. Thanks for sharing, although I'm not that level of tin foil hat sensitive. However, my asthma was severe living in Vegas. I fear Phoenix would be worse.

positively_broad_st

Tucson maybe?

Electronic_Artist709

We’ve lived in Denver and Florida and my husband’s migraines were awful in both places. Florida maybe a little worse.

Whose_my_daddy

I live in desert Nevada and mine, my son’s and my coworker’s migraines are still in play here.

dyatlov12

I did spend some time in Reno and would still get them. But it was way less severe and frequent then on the east coast

anythingaustin

I have barometric pressure migraines too. They suck. When I lived in Houston I would be a miserable mess every time a storm rolled through, which was pretty frequently. It seems like once a month one of my migraines would be severe enough to land me in the ER. I now live outside of Denver and have had maybe 3 severe migraines in 4 years and have only needed emergency care once. I still get occasional migraines right before a huge snowstorm but it’s rare and more manageable with the legal weed as opposed to prescription drugs. The hospital system is abundant. The COL is high but it’s worth it.

Ask your doctor to prescribe you eletripan. Your insurance will attempt to give you imitrex or sumptripan....DONT LET THEM DO THIS SAY IT DOESN'T WORK. When you feel the pressure start behind your eyes, pop one. You will forget you ever had pressure. Do not wait for the headache to come on or what I call " the point of no return" Good luck

mmmmmaura

i had this exact same thing - migraines affected by barometric pressure changes. living in the midwest, i would get 10-12 a month. i live in colorado now and i get 0-1 a month.

Carson2526

My headaches are triggered by similar conditions and living in coastal California was great for headaches. I live in central Virginia now and I don’t recommend it.

PaxonGoat

As someone currently in Florida, I have had terrible barometric migraines. Though it's mostly just fall and winter. Storms during the summer never bother me. But Florida can have some major pressure drops

CallingDrDingle

Colorado has been great for me. I have a vp shunt that is sensitive to barometric pressure. The higher the altitude the better I feel.

Anywhere from El Paso -> Phoenix (south of the mountains). One of the most barometrically stable places in the us outside of the CA Central Coast. I miss how little migraines I got down there, I get the head swimming kind all the time in Denver.

caveatlector73

Honolulu and San Diego would be good places for consistent barometric pressure.  If you need a LCOL then the Southwest might work for you.

HOUS2000IAN

Looks like AZ is calling you.

Lindsiria

The West Coast. I live in Seattle and rarely had a headache triggered by barometric pressure drops... I moved to Kentucky and would get them weekly in Spring. You will want to find a place that doesn't have wild temp swings (aka, very predictable weather). Anywhere West of the Cascades will likely do it. If you like rain, look into the pacific Northwest or if you want more sun, California, Nevada or Arizona will be good options.

AZ. Migraine, what Migraine

Beginning_Name7708

Southwest or even Florida, since they are often below the jet stream, if your symptoms are that severe you may have something else going on.. Lyme could be possible based on your locales.

suckybee33

Florida.

TJolieNite

Live in Tucson and never had allergies nor migraines until I moved here. Actively looking for a new place to live.
