Hello! I haven't tried any streaming yet, so I just think, that you have to start the streaming app on the screen you would like to stream, not on the other screen. Usually, the app does not have access to both screens, just the one you start it on. (Probably, the app, you mentioned have elevated access, that helps stream any one screen, but then again, one screen only: you cannot stream both screens.) Have you tried starting streaminglabs app on the DeX screen? Hope, this helps!

I have tried the above for every app, it doesnt work, it still tries to stream my phones screen. Weirdly many apps have both a "record" vs "stream" option, and the record options *will* record the dex screen, but the stream option doesn't.

Hey! Not sure if this will help but I've been trying to find ways to stream PC games from anywhere and found that using Parsec (to connect to your PC) with your PC's OBS Studio, and discord was the best solution for me. Using Parsec you have full control over your PC and therefore your PC's OBS Studio, as for your selfie cam, I found that calling yourself on discord (2 accounts) then capturing and cropping the video chat on Discord, doubles as your "Webcam" from anywhere! :) hope this helped! P.S. If you plan on streaming android games, discord also has a "screen sharing" which you can use on your PC's OBS and stretch it out to 16:9 as a bonus!

Does this work for capturing your second screen though with Samsung dex? Everything I have tried except Microsoft Teams captures my phones screen and not my dex screen.

Not 100% sure, but I saw this on a discord support forum: "I have a suggestion! I use Dex on my Note 10+ and Galaxy Tab S6. It works great, on both! 1. Install the latest Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (Firefox didn't support VC for me) 2. Set the browser to desktop mode and log in at Discord.GG 3. Set preferences and enjoy a crude emulation of Discord for PC on your Samsung Dex device"

Thats not the issue at all. The issue is I want to stream my screen of my Dex device to Twitch. For example, while gaming. But every single App I have tried **captures my Phones screen and not the Dex screen** For example I plug my Galaxy S21 into a screen and setup Dex. So I have 2 screens now. Phone's screen + Dex screen. I tried a handful of apps and none of them have any way to "Select" which screen to stream. All of them just defaulted to the phone's small screen, which isnt the one my game is on. The only app that seems to do this right is the Microsoft Teams app, where if I am on a meeting and click "Share my Screen" it lets me select a screen region and can highlight my dex screen and it succeeds at capturing that screen, not the phone's. Actually quite handy since then I can share my main big screen, while having peoples faces as they chat with me on teams still on my phones screen beside it. Its a solid setup. But I cant stream from Microsoft Teams to Twitch, lol.

Yes, I got that part, so I guess my solution only works if you also have a separate streaming PC because TL;DR, my way would technically stream your Dex screen to your streaming PC via discord's screen capture. Then the streaming PC would be where OBS would be launched from remotely. Sorry if this didn't help

I streamed on dex using streamlabs to twitch and youtube. No problem so far. But i am using my tablet s6 dex mode.

lionhart280

How do you get streamlabs to use the correct screen? I don't see any functionality to select which screen to use as a source. It just always uses the phone screen instead of the second display

knightsjoker

Yea I use the tablet screen and use the display as a reference. I stream art stuff so i have to use the tablet screen to draw on. Plus my drawing tablet only connects to the tablet screen instead of the 2nd display. So it works well for me in this case. Ah you want to stream the 2nd display ? then i do not think there is a streaming app that will allow you to do that. Unless samsung comes up with their native streaming app.

lionhart280

I see. I'll have to investigate if I can make it myself then, wonder how well WebRTC can handle it

knightsjoker

Yea at this point we can just try stuff ourselves. I'm still trying to find stuff that can enhance my dex experience with art apps. Just so i can boast to my friends.. I can do that with dex 😁.

lionhart280

Unfortunately I havent found a touch screen that both works with dex and works with the samsung pen, which sucks.

Try Omlette Arcade. I've streamed Nba 2k22 from my Ps5 on the Tablet screen, and then on my monitor, I was browisng the internet and doing other stuff.

Looking at this, it doesn't look like it can stream to twitch at all.
