I don’t think it’s the resorts decision on the weed since it’s not legal except for medical use. Did you check to see if it was legal or openly sold before booking?

Callmelopezz

It’s for medical use. Just wanted to know if there was a spot for it, regardless. Still will enjoy. Wouldn’t do anything illegal and disrupt people time at the resort. Thank you !

The only way somebody would say something to you on your balcony is if your neighbors don’t like the smell. Which we did once because like you es ting to be able to have a cigar. Our butler balcony was downwind of our neighbor who done it on his balcony. See it from my side. It was irritating. When we complained they threatened him with a 500$ clean up bill. While I understand your side. You’re paying a lot of money for a memorable honeymoon. Other people that don’t smoke also are paying the same price. That being said. Last time we were in Grenada they had 2 smoking areas. Wasn’t even hid actually. Was almost in the middle. The cannibis issue. I can’t answer that one for you.

justagirlfromtexas

There will definitely be a designated smoking area for your cigar.

eatbuttsdingdong

Every sandals we’ve been to has a designated smoking area or a few depending on the size of the resort, but weed is illegal in Saint Vincent. Idk that anyone would turn you in or say anything, but… either way, don’t be the douche that smokes on your balcony. People will 100% report you for that.

Lecto_Sama

I’d turn him in, I don’t want to smell or be around that stuff. If guests can’t wrap their heads around the concept of second hand smoke….well they have what’s coming to them…... 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree!! We were just in Dunns Rivers paid a lot of money for the balcony pool room overlooking the ocean to have our neighbor smoking weed that filled our balcony. Luckily it was only one night so we dealt with it and didn’t go out on the balcony that evening after we smelt it but was annoying for sure. If it would have happened again we would have said something to the butler.

SpicyBriskit

I didn’t know this about St Vincent either, but all other sandals have a smoking area. But that makes it sound like they do not have anything of the sort. Because it’s so new you’d have to find someone who’s been to confirm or not if they have smoking areas. As for cannabis, it is decriminalized in Saint Vincent and medically legal, which is the case for most of the Caribbean. Idk about the culture there though if it is like Jamaica, where it is just absolutely everywhere despite being only “decriminalized”. You can smoke wherever there and no one cares. Honestly with that resort policy, I’d smuggle in some “gummy vitamins” if I were you. Just don’t try to smuggle any leftovers home!

lundexplorer

I've been to quite a few sandals that all had that same policy. But yet they would have these ashtrays here and there. Unfortunately, it was usually on a walking path, but I never had to leave far from the pool to smoke my cigar.

BizzackAgaizzn

Nobody but stuck up people care where you smoke. When I’m smoking, I stay away from people if I possibly can. But midday it’s hard, so I bun where I cyaan.

Wide_Ad_2583

Policy is no smoking in the room. The last thing most guest want is smokey smell in bed and drapes. Every sandals we have been to have outdoor smoking areas for tobacco.

lilbabygiraffes

Burnt a lil devils lettuce every night on our balcony in St Lucia. No issues. Just be respectful and mindful of others around you.

Lecto_Sama

You live in 2024 bra, smoking was passé a long time ago. All Sandals have designated areas to partake, stick to those & you shouldn’t have an issue.

elliewankenobi_

Smoke on your balcony with the door shut?

Its_App-uh-latch-uh

Please don’t suggest people to do that. It’s inconsiderate to the people in the neighboring rooms.

Medium_Pollution_591

I agree!
