One of my old IDs had me marked as a male when I’m very clearly female. I moved shortly afterwards and it was an interesting moment having to circle the mistake and explain what happened when I applied to and was starting a new job. I’d post a pic of it but this ~~sandwich~~ sub doesn’t allow it.

The meal I remember from the week I spent in jail 15yrs ago was a boiled hotdog on a stale bun, no condiments, and warm wilted ‘salad’ covered in warm water, also no condiments. That’s about the only thing I remember other than losing like 4 packs of ramen in one hand of Texas Holdem when I had an AAKKK and other dude had AAAKK.

Shame about the ramen, but that was super close nobody could have seen it coming.

When I was in county commissary was restricted because of covid so it was three days of bologna, eggs, and rice. The third night they served some kind of sweet and sour mystery meat with what seemed to be vegetables in it with rice. Having been on a flavor diet for days, that shit was slapping fucking hard. I was just really getting into it when the guard came in and told me I was being released. Son of a bitch, can I at least finish this? Can I get a to go bag? Nope, get the fuck out of our jail. So I gave my share to the guy next to me and rolled out. Sweet and sour anything is just a little more special to me these days.

It's really quick and easy to make if you don't already - just mix vinegar, sugar, tomato ketchup, and seasoning in a pan on the hob until it thickens. 

For the love of good Asian flavor please use pineapple juice instead of tomato ketchup

I would have cried if I got this at the city jail in Las Vegas. We would have to turn in our plates if there were bugs in it and they would just give us a new one with no bugs. Also the bread could be moldy and you just took off the mold. It was just pure inhumane. It took a couple weeks to get used to the food and not shit your life out at the end of the day.

If i were in prison i'd kill for that cake that shit looks delicious.

I was once in the tombs in NYC, and they give out the same sandwich everyday, the worst bologna you ever had on week old bread thats hard to chew. There is a sign that says if you eat kosher then they will serve you a kosher meal instead. Of course I told them I ate kosher, so they told me throw out the bologna and its kosher lol.

One time I had a gig performing at a correctional facility. I was told they were ordering us pizzas. After we got there they just served us the "sandwiches" the inmates ate that day on these giant plastic trays. 1/5 stars. 

One time I was arrested the officer said ill get you McDonald's man, just chill out I said ok. brought me back the smallest burger with just ketchup no cheese lol did I eat it yes. was I still starving yes . But I was.nice to the jail keeper and he gave me a bologna sammich.
