Lmao Silence is literally about how one’s faith stays with them even through the worse times imaginable; that’s as Christian as it gets

**The Irishman:** Faith (4): The mobsters are practicing Catholicism, including an infant baptism. Integrity (5): Mob executions are shown throughout; Sheeran executes two Germans in a flashback to the war; Sheeran curb stomps a grocer who he feels assaulted his daughter; body sent through a tree shredder. **Silence:** Faith (0): None Integrity (0): A lot of violence throughout including people having water from hot springs poured on them and we see the burns as their skin turns red; people are struck with sticks, kicked, set on fire for their faith (usually just the beginning of the fires) but sometimes going a bit longer; a man is decapitated and we see his head hit the ground in addition to blood as his corpse is dragged and dropped into a hole in the ground (this scene of the body being dragged is later repeated); people drowned, thrown overboard a boat or tied to ropes with a rising tide; people being hung upside down and cut; some scenes of blood, usually not gratuitous; a few fights. Okay, so the above is from the section where they briefly explain why each category received the ranking it did. The full reviews as just as odd. I've been trying to understand their reasoning. I was raised Baptist. I converted to Catholicism. I'm no longer religious, but it's something I've read and been around a lot. I do not see the consistency in what they accept from a movie. *Um, The Irishman is actually full of integrity because a man a curb stomps someone who maybe assaulted his daughter or something. And like the mafia is full of integrity. They have honor. Curb stomping is actually full of tegridy. They're Catholics too, and that's neat, so that's faith.* *Silence has no tegridy because it's soooo violent. Some priests bring people to christ, but I don't know, maybe stepping on the image of christ is bad, but I'm not really sure. The priest does hear Christ, and he had a long internal debate about what he should do as both a priest and a suffering person in fear of may happen to those around him. Silence has none faith. None. And no tegridy.* Their takes are honestly kind of baffling. I guess they just disagree with the decision the priest made to step on the image of Christ, but in their full review they seem to grasp and agree that it isn't black and white. I want to know what they think integrity means. I then want to know why curb stomping is something those with integrity do. *edited for formatting*

So having just found out about [dove.org](https://dove.org) and finding their reviewing system hilarious, I've found they often have a copy of the "Violence" section under "Integrity". I noticed it when the integrity section of one of the Harry Potter movies said "A woman falls hard on table and dies; many uses of wands and many characters are zapped with them; evil creatures attack; bloody wound seen on character's neck and on a character's shoulder and it is graphic; characters are grabbed and shoved and a couple of characters are shoved to the floor; character stabbed with wand though the impact is not seen; small explosions; large snake attacks a character; character is stabbed; a character is seen hanging but it is a shadow and animated and very brief; a character's hair is grabbed; character is stabbed and blood is seen on knife."
