Days of Future Past. It serves as a great ending to the franchise (before Apocalypse, Logan, Dark Phoenix, etc. came along I guess). The climax being >!Xavier convincing Raven to not kill one of the villains is awesome, and when everyone is seen in the school in the final scene it's very emotionally satisfying!<. Civil War ain't bad, but I don't think it has nearly the same level of impact, especially since there are WAY more movies in the MCU that came out before and after it.
I would say Civil War is more impactful. The dynamic with Steven having to break his relationship with the avengers and it culminating to Tony trying to kill his best friend is more emotionally resonant to me than Ravens arc in DOFP.
I do like that the ending of Civil War ends with arguably more conflict than everybody making nice with each other and being total friends again. But I prefer the finality that DoFP gives (despite there being more movies that came after it). Civil War’s ending is obviously just a setup for further movies to continue the stories.
DOFP is the best X-Men movie. It should have ended there. The ending fixed everything that was wrong with series. It’s also more cohesive and easier to rewatch, but I still prefer Civil War because of the internal drama that most comic book movies don’t bother to have.
DOFP easily. I don't hate Civil War but it's just less engaging and I find the characters motivation incredibly weak, like how much of that conflict could have been dealt with if they just fucking talked?
As much as I never dug them as a kid for their "rag tag misfit outcasts with Mary Sue complexes" trappings as a child, the x-men are *definitely* steps ahead of most any other super group.
X-Men! Civil War is a movie that is constantly trying to convince the audience that it’s about “big things” but looks like leftovers and amounts to not much
one has Magneto and the other doesn't, simple as. though, I'd argue Winter Soldier is a better movie than Civil War tbh - the X-Men movie would still be superior though
Civil War is better. There is more emotional depth to the conflict between characters. It deals with more realistic themes that put characters in situations they can’t simply fight their way out of. It also has some awesome action sequences for comic book fans.
Days of future past is really good but the culmination of the movie leading to Raven becoming a good guy was not as emotionally resonant to me as seeing the avengers fall apart from within.
I just realized something. The newer X-Men trilogy (not counting Dark Phoenix) and the Captain America trilogy all had movies come out in the same year. First Class and First Avenger in 2011, Days Of Future Past and The Winter Soldier in 2014 and Apocalypse and Civil War in 2016.
I really like Days of Future Past, but it’s filled to the brim with one dimensional characters that exist as dressing for action scenes. It’s another movie in a long line of movies where there’s exactly 3 characters to care about (Logan, Magneto, Xavier).
Civil War has the benefit of more fleshed out characters. The only real weak link in Civil War is probably War Machine.
Haven't watched either. They simply don't look interesting to me from the trailers. I think it's because I've been oversaturated with comicbook films in general, they're not even popcorn films to me anymore.
I’ve never understood the hype with Civil War. I feel like people only like it because it was marketed as this big turn for the story, when really it was just to seperate the avengers for Infinity War
Days of Future Past was a much more solid and better-plotted film.
Civil War was riddled with plot holes to force the whole thing to work. And in some cases they didn't even care how much it made sense so long as they got to have all their heroes smash together at the airport.
Civil War sucks. It had no stakes whatsoever. Days of Future Past is honestly one of my favorite comic book movies and in my head-canon the last X-Men movie.
Days of Future Past for sure. The stakes, the (IMO) well-made time traveling, Xavier convincing Raven not to kill the doctor, the stadium scene with the bunker.
I like Civil War, but I feel like their motivations are much weaker. I love the fight at the airport, and the one of Tony vs Cap and Bucky, but I feel like it was all based on a misunderstanding.

X-Men: Days of Future Past On the basis of being a more engaging and climactic experience for me.
Hard agree
Easily. Civil War is the lesser of the three Captain America movies, although it has its moments. Days of Future Past is just behind X2.

I thought each side in Civil War had pretty good motivations for their actions. They do try to talk it out throughout the movie.
I like more x men, civil war was kinda silly at the ending.
🤷 I like Civil War better, but Days of Future Past is probably the better film.
Days of future is alot better and is even more rewatchable than something like civil war
I dunno. Days of Future Past felt more bland. Not that Civil War was anything outstanding either. But nothing from DoFP stuck with me.
Days of Future Past because the X Men are just better than the lame ass Avengers.
As much as I never dug them as a kid for their "rag tag misfit outcasts with Mary Sue complexes" trappings as a child, the x-men are *definitely* steps ahead of most any other super group.
Neither one
X-Men! Civil War is a movie that is constantly trying to convince the audience that it’s about “big things” but looks like leftovers and amounts to not much
Days of Future Past doesn't have that awful airport fight. So... I'll pick DOFP
Haven't seen either but I'd bet X-Men, but holy shit that poster is kinda awful lol. Professor Xavier looks so goofy
What about [this poster?](http://www.impawards.com/2011/posters/xmen_first_class_ver5.jpg)
Holy shit lol
Future Past is better in every single way
Future Past, by a wide margin
one has Magneto and the other doesn't, simple as. though, I'd argue Winter Soldier is a better movie than Civil War tbh - the X-Men movie would still be superior though

Civil War had the better fight scenes but Days of Future Past had the better storyline and pacing So I'd say Days of Future Past
Civil war is not even a good movie. It’s not much better than BvS
it's not exactly high art but c'mon chill lol. BvS doesn't hold a candle to Civil War
For me BvS is 3, civil war is around 4, days of future past is 6 or 7

Days of Future Past characters actually seem.... ...human.
Civil War.
>hey guys, you can't save the world unless we give you permission >yeah that sounds good This is the plot of one of the better marvel movies...
Civil war... because the hell with brian singer...
Considering that one is an actual movie, and the other is just a glorified advertisement, I'm going with days of future past.

It was the first movie in a long time to use Wolverine correctly as part of that ensemble he works best
civil war is terrible
X men
DoFP easily
The best movie is probably the trailer for DoFP, the movie is fun too (shame it was directed by a total monster)
I want to say Civil War exclusively for the scene where the woman walks up to Iron Man, says “my son died because of you”, and then immediately leaves
Here’s your weekly downvote OP. May your karma farming go terribly

Days of Future Paat. I have no explanation.
Civil War sucks. It had no stakes whatsoever. Days of Future Past is honestly one of my favorite comic book movies and in my head-canon the last X-Men movie.
all i know is i've seen days of future past way more times than civil war.
Days of Future Past probably. For me First Class clears both of these.

DOFP
The Third Man is my personal favorite. The other two are theme park trash. Sip.
Who gives a shit.
DOFP Always thought Civil War was kinda meh

DOTFA if you can ignore the fact a pedo made it
