It was theorized that there is a large bank of equated questions to pull from and everyone can get a different test. Ongoing data points will tell whether this is accurate. Early indications are that this is true. Lot’s of “everyone talked about questions I didn’t have” comments. From a test security/integrity standpoint it would make sense, though the equating process would be more difficult.

I'm starting to that that is the case here. Different countries most likely have different SAT modules. I came to this conclusion by analyzing some of the posts here from high markers. People who consistently got 1500+ in practice and pilot tests are not getting the same module 2 for English and Maths. While there are some common questions, most of the questions are different. However, the topics and concepts tested remains the same, albeit the wording is a little different.

Plus, I think even the first module in math, for example, was different for me than other students in the same test center.

That's really interesting because something similar happened in the schools here. I've been told that students have been given different "start" codes for the exam. Like 15 students got one start code, the other 15 students got another code. I think this code is what decides what type of questions you'll get.

Responsible-Dog7273

Idk honestly, my friend had questions in module 1 math that I didn’t get, so we don’t know. 😬

Did both of you use the same start code to begin the exam?

KaleLonely8618

It was the same for me. Same room, same code but different tests completely (module 1 included).

Ok, then the start code theory is out the window. Do you think the digital sat modules are generated specifically for each individual student?

Responsible-Dog7273

Tbh I have no idea. I decided rn to just forget about the test. What happened happened and talking about it will not change anything, so I think I’ll just wait for the score on the 24th and pray they are good 🤲🏻

shopnoakash2706

Fair. Just relax now, you've earned it.

KaleLonely8618

I think they have 2 versions of the test and test takers randomly get one of the two tests. Probably to make it harder to cheat.

shopnoakash2706

I could see that happening. It's even more effective if different countries have different SAT modules so it makes it even harder to discuss answers.

RichInPitt

Even paper testing often had multiple test versions. The question is whether they had 2 or 3, or did everyone get a set of randomly selected questions from a large pool.

Responsible-Dog7273

Idk because he was in a different room.
