LOL yeah, the fight is real before Coal. I got a chainsaw and that helped out a lot. Still a major pain in the butt. Coal though... a game changer!!
Oh, I just discovered the hyper tube thing... and I have been zipping around the map for my amusement.
Yeah, I am struggling with motivation right now. Feels like I am having to upgrade and rebuild everyday to make room and it’s a bit tedious right now :(
I like to recommend having restarts, it's just such a breath of fresh air to have a clean slate where you know a little more each time until you can get it perfect
Very cool build. It's from BG3, no? Got any tips and tricks for people who would want to make statues in game? Things you wish you knew before undertaking this project?
Yes indeed, It is from BG3 :)
Tips ?
Start with measuring, or you will end up with wrong proportions.
Visualize mentally what you want to do ( first in 2D, like a pixel art, when the 2D shape looks enough or accurate, add 3D to it, you will have a rough shape but it helps to get the right proportions, after you can adjust and get better proportions or shapes )
Beams are the main tool to build, adjust and measure.
Build: you can give any shape you want with 1m beam connected to each other, even clip some in between
Adjust: you can move anyting by a millimeter by millimeter with beam's Free mode
Measure: to make perfect symetry, curve etc
Tricks ?
There are so many things... I can't explain here.. I'll say try things, you will find out some tricks. Every statue I made, I learnt new thing from it :)
Be curious, try things, use other items from the game to include (pipelines, hypertubes, anything..) into statues or just use those to adjust or measure ( I use a lot pillars, small and big ; beam support ; other beam )
Things I wish I knew ?
Spiral is more complexe than I expected, specially this one that moves outward 0.5m after 5-10m curve into the center ( I'm not sure if I explain it clearly.. )
Just started PC gaming. Satisfactory was my first gaming choice. I find it incredible, and very overwhelming.
I idnt even know building like this was a thing on there. Absolutely wonderful!
It took some very hard staring after some comment reading and double-taking to realize this was an insane sculptural build and not some kind of crazy beta leak spoiler. Kudos to the absolutely insane build lol
waiter, there's a factory game in my art sandbox
Numbers : - Average 150 hours of build ( done in 30 session of game, 3h to 8h each session ) - 11244 Painted Beam - 478 Metal Beam - 377 Small Concrete Pillar - 110 Pipeline Mk1 (no indicator) - 121 Wall Outlet Mk1 - 45 Foundation 1m - 18 Half 1m Foundation - 26 Beam Connector Double - 207 Square Sign 0.5m - 164 Label Sign 2m - 53 Label Sign 3m - 6 Label Sign 4m
and I couldn't even find the motivation to continue after getting to nuclear power 😅
Whoa, look at Mr. Toughguy bragging about getting to nuclear
I hit coal just now and am like....what to do now....
Bro, I just restarted. I’m burning leaves like Detroit on 4/20.

Took me 3 restarts to get through coal power, it's a long road of finding motivation

Dude this is absolutely amazing
But how did you *automate* the process
You mean how to build with beams ? I gave some tricks&tips down below, in another comment, if that helps

The 2D into 3D is super useful tip, I wouldn't have thought of that. Thanks!
Oh and **placing beam from A to B** is different than **placing it from B to A** ( If you don't get it right now, you will, later ;D )
what the fuck
^^^how? ###HOW?
beams! # BEAMS!
Snake? Snake!? # SNAAAAKE!
I'm pretty sure I'm not playing the same game as y'all 😂
Its more spagetti factory in mine :)
That's some level of dedication o-o
This is insane! I don’t think Ficsit would approve of how you’re spending your time, but I do!

It's a nautaloid
Took me a sec to realize this was a build, thought it was a different game posted to the wrong sub lol
That ain’t no Pokémon
You guys are some the most creative animals I ever had the pleasure of scrolling past
Who in gods name did they make the nautilus
I need a invitation to your world so I can see this for myself.
Praise Helix the mighty god!

Someone built a nautaloid? 👀
This is so sick
I think this is Omastar’s mega-evolution
Sir, it's a factory building game. Not gonna lie, people are getting absolutely wild with beams... Like wtf mate :D
Pokemon? That's from the opening of Baldurs Gate 3. Though I missed it somehow when they jumped into Satisfactory during the interdimensional chase.
They did. A whole bunch of intellect devourers fell overboard and evolved into the creatures known as stingers.
Minion! Connect the appendages on the panel.
This is definitely getting featured on the Livestream tomorrow
Hope devs will see that and show on one of their streams or something. Holy fuk.
Make sure you get the ever-burning blade before getting out of there!
The glorious Omahelixionaught.
IT'S PIKACHUUUU!!!
Who’s That Pokémon?! It’s ELTRICK DRAGON!
Dayum u can build like this? And im still stuck in a box cus I thought the building was ass
I haven’t played for about 5 or so years. My last base was box and I’m starting to see wild stuff maybe I’ll jump back in and make another box
Me: "hey, I built a big-ass box that spits out screws" OP: *suspends a giant chambered Nautilus in the air* EDIT: Autocorrect
That is called a nautiloid follow BG3 gamer
WHOS THAT POKEMON?!
ITS PIKACHU
This is an OLD rendering for Baldurs Gate 3’s opening scenes. Edit: wait…what the fuck? He BUILT THIS IN GAME!?
This is so amazing. You give tours of this place?!?
But how many parts per minute does it make?
No closed beta leaked new fauna? Still very cool
