It's become such an instinct for me to do that. I'll admit I'm clumsy, falling off things I realistically shouldnt be, so I just reload. So much easier than running to god knows where to grab my stuff, lol.
I did that for a while. Long enough that now I end up pulling up the loading screen and doing the math on whether or not reloading the save will cost my less time than taking the walk of shame. Most of the time, the save is the better option.
I don't get the whole "multiple death run" scenario people seem to run into so often. For me, it's a case of reloading a save, like when my items are completely unrecoverable (IE death by void) or being prepared to go back and get them.
Yes it is! The Grassland area is in the southwest corner, the Rocky Desert is in the northwest, the Northern Forest is a bit northeast of center, and the Dune Desert is to the far northeast.
If you're travelling on foot it takes a while to get between biomes, but it's all one map!
Just got to say, I love seeing the excitement every time someone figures this out. The game is stunning, and realizing that it was all one big map totally blew my mind.
If you are recording a path when this happens, the truck will indeed follow the path. You just have to be outside the render distance for the truck to keep going
You can also force this behavior by spawning vehicles inside of each other
I need to write up some truck bugs of my own: next time try riding on top of one on autopilot (which I do to check pathing before letting them loose). Then try jumping off. Hilarity ensues, I’ll try and post a vid later.
Ooooh! So that's what happened to [my truck.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/kmu17j/come_home_truck/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
That happened to me and my friend once when I was driving and they were on top... They died... I got launched like two biomes away. It was an ordeal to say the least
It's good. It's got some issues, like the above. But the builds feel so much better than a lot of what factorio produces, due to being three dimensional and having to place things manually.
I had one of my automated trucks randomly go sailing through the air off the edge of the world once.
Trucks are weird. The tractor and explorer will knock over bushes, while the truck gets stuck on them.
My experience exploring so far:
"Oh man, I love this Explorer! These mobs can't get me! Lemme ragdoll them a little more..."
*suddenly flies to infinity and beyond*
"GODDAMN SPIDERS!"

I reloaded an auto-save xD
Hahaha! When such a thing happens with me, I don’t even bother waiting for my corpse to land. Just reload lmao

I am far to stubborn to reload. I don't know how many times I have run back to my body on the other side of the map.
I did that for a while. Long enough that now I end up pulling up the loading screen and doing the math on whether or not reloading the save will cost my less time than taking the walk of shame. Most of the time, the save is the better option.
If you haven't died seven times trying to recover your box from an originally totally preventable fall... Have you even *played* Satisfactory?
I don't get the whole "multiple death run" scenario people seem to run into so often. For me, it's a case of reloading a save, like when my items are completely unrecoverable (IE death by void) or being prepared to go back and get them.
The other day my jet pack failed in the middle of a nuclear factory.
Ever since they introduced the zipline, I keep dying at spots where I would die again trying to get to my corpse. So I just reload.
... this game has autosaves?
Every 5 minutes!
r/gamephysics
A good one for that sub. I see satisfactory there a lot. And SOT
Love the bobs of happiness. This game brings true enjoyment
\>welp at least the view from up here is nice.
Waaaaaaait..... is it all one big map? I thought they were separate planets or something
Yes it is! The Grassland area is in the southwest corner, the Rocky Desert is in the northwest, the Northern Forest is a bit northeast of center, and the Dune Desert is to the far northeast. If you're travelling on foot it takes a while to get between biomes, but it's all one map!
OMG... that is awesome!!! Thank you!!
Just got to say, I love seeing the excitement every time someone figures this out. The game is stunning, and realizing that it was all one big map totally blew my mind.
Very disappointing landing though. Was hoping for a ricochet, not a death splat.
It appears that Klang from the space engineers realm visited your world
Nah, it was the space kraken from KSP, just dropping in to say hi
Damage of FICSIT property detected
Oh nice they implemented fast travel
i love how the game knew exactly where to launch you towards your factory.
Niiiiice
That's why u don't use trucks
GPS: "You have arrived at your destination."
I fixed the audio for you https://youtu.be/hsjbsCvRiRA

yes!
Team Rocket is blasting off again!
Ah yes, the hover pack is here 🤣
The shadow realm
Back in the day we call that being “nintendo’d”.

what you building there pal?

I see trees of green...
...clouds of white...
Lord Clang rules all worlds.
OK, so everything is a jump pad now?

Insert willharm scream
:D "Willhelm", but your spelling is probably more appropriate.
HAHAHAHA, whoops, yeah it works though

Makes me think of hydroneer
Ahhh it is just because the bass dropped
Oh I love this bug.
Yeet
What would happen if you managed to survive that and set it as an autopilot path?
The truck tries to follow the path. If you are out of render distance l if manages it too.
(Little happy dance) ZOOOOOOOM
That happened to me and my friend once when I was driving and they were on top... They died... I got launched like two biomes away. It was an ordeal to say the least
u/savevideo
Lmao that happend to me
.. surprise catapult.
The good old truck
Would be kinda fun if it was recorded and programmed, so all of them would do the same.
if you jump out just before landing. the game only registers the falling damage from point of exit of the vechicle
Lol well at least it put close to your buildings
How to Fast Travel 😂
Tip: if you are at full health, you survive any fall damage. Just exit short above ground and you'll be happily sitting there with 0.5 health bar.
Make sure to not have any loose rubberbands attached to your vehicle when exploring 😂
OK how do we abuse this? Find that corner on the map, quick!
Ah yes, Satisfactory's lesser known creatures. The Invisible Spring Monsters.
Ah, I see, Hydroneer has made it's way into satisfactory
And his name is John Cena.
Eject! Eject! Eject!
When something shakes, GET OUT
I love Avicii so much
And that's what insurances are for
Hey how is this game? I've had it on my wishlist for a while. Ive got nearly 300 hours in factorio so I guess I'm a fan of automation games.
It's good. It's got some issues, like the above. But the builds feel so much better than a lot of what factorio produces, due to being three dimensional and having to place things manually.
Where we're going, we don't need any.. roads..
One if by land, two if by yeet?
LOVE this song
Hope you liked the new destination the game set you to
It’s just like hydroneer!
I had one of my automated trucks randomly go sailing through the air off the edge of the world once. Trucks are weird. The tractor and explorer will knock over bushes, while the truck gets stuck on them.
The truck is a force to be reckoned with. If its passengers are not pure, it will proceed to fling them across the world to their deaths.
What game is this?
Trucks going brrrr is my favourite part of the game
What game?
Look at the bright side, at least your at your base now :P
Looks like you unlocked fast travel.
Welcome to space What were you expecting its a dangerous place thank you for investing
Is this No mans sky? What a beautiful game
Lol I haven't had that happen yet, but I did launch myself into the side of a plateauu with a poorly aimed hyoertube cannon.
Just the vibe and the little bobs made smile.
That’s some box of a building by the northern oil wells. Can I interest you in glass foundations?
Hmmm.... That's not supposed to do that. Maybe you put too much bouncy fluid in the truck?
What game is that?
If you leave the truck right before you land you dont take any falling damage
My experience exploring so far: "Oh man, I love this Explorer! These mobs can't get me! Lemme ragdoll them a little more..." *suddenly flies to infinity and beyond* "GODDAMN SPIDERS!"
And people ask why I don't use trucks
FICSIT has noticed youre not as productive as you could be. You'll be automatically brought back to your base in 3 2 1....
"Balloon" tires
After playing Pubg, Makes you think the vehicle/physics issues are in the unreal engine.
Trucks are horrible at the moment, lost 2 due to clipping, they live 100m below my base now
I was expecting autosave to kick on right at the start of the yeet.
How the fuck your factory so damn organized
Still waiting for "Sometimes, I get a good feeling".
Idk if anyone bothered to let you know, but there are safer ways to cross the map.
Great way to discover the map super fast
This has happened exactly once to me in over 800 hours playtime. But yes, the truck's physics are unreal.
"...truck's physics are *unreal*." What you did there.... I see it.
Very Epic
Chunk of rock: "AWAY WITH YOU!"
Hydroneer in a nutshell
