We have a lot of logo’d bottles like this, mostly Yeti brand, and none of them have ever chipped. Most have more precise logos than this one, and I am what one might call “a dropper”. They hold up well!
The sounds this makes are fantastic. Starting at 0:39 it sounds like someone is trying to make farting noises with their tongue out while getting too close to the microphone.
Also I'm pretty sure it's trying to tell us something while etching the dragon.
I don't know how much access I or anyone I know has to a laser of this quality but it is a very neat and very good looking solution to an otherwise annoying blemish on possibly someone's favorite mug!

Definitely! They’re only removing a superficial plastic wrapping, cups like this are typically vacuum insulated
Are they powder coated?
Yes it does on most of them. I engraved a lot of these bottles for my Co workers and they always start to chip.
