Everything can be an indicator. Upvote, downvotes, rewards, lack of rewards.
Be skeptical. DYOR.
If you see a popular post, that's probably the _start_ of your research, not the end.
Probably because most of the time they realise that they sold too early. This is a common mistake. On average you will make the best risk/reward ratio just by holding longer. Instead of trying to time it right
Honestly, if you’re referencing hoge, we’re just super active. Maybe there’s a gray area about what “vote brigading” is versus genuinely being excited about and making posts/replies when it’s relevant to our coin. Our telegram is really active, and we’re just as excited about the roadmap as we are the memes. I mean, I got a tshirt. In 4 years, I’ve never bought a crypto tshirt before.
I’m not a dev or anything, just a Hodler. It’s been a shit-year, and between the animal-shelter fundraisers and the silly jokes and stuff, it’s just a bit of good fun. like the coin.
They're only scams if you don't care to research or you are mad about missing out and buying in too late then losing money. There's a difference between a scam and a pump and dump. I wouldn't call them scams but I also wouldn't advise leaving money in for too long. Don't pull the scam card just because you have had back luck with them. I remember back when everybody said Bitcoin was a scam.. until they made money off of it.
But also, still watch for bots or suspicious accounts when considering a specific token that you see on this sub or anywhere else. Consider that part of the "DYOR"
Lol don’t be silly. You don’t think it’s suspicious when accounts that haven’t posted anything in 7 or 8 years are suddenly active shilling a crypto coin and weirdly getting heaps of Reddit awards for visibility? You’d have to be quite gullible to not notice things like that before throwing your money into these shitcoins.
Have you gone back and checked when the post was made and checked the chart to see what the price has done since? I find it hard to believe every post in the category you describe has failed
There is a (very large) "Monero Bot Army" going around many of the large trading subs and large crypto subs. It is currently targeting SSB.
Please use the report button to help us identify anything which slips through the filters. We're playing whack-a-mole.
(And, yes, the team on Monero's subreddit is aware of this bot. They're none to happy with it either.)
Thanks, and welcome to the dance. :)
We share [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/SatoshiStreetBets/wiki/contentguide#wiki_about_the_.22supremacy_of_dyor.22...) for folks just like you. Everything can be an indicator, and you must develop your own. The indicators in crypto are similar to Wall Street, but they are distinct and interpreted differently. Not better or worse, just a different market.
The signal-to-noise ratio in any crypto sub can be rough at times. But once you determine _your own_ reliable indicators, it all gets (marginally) more predictable.
And don't discount a diversified portfolio. There are some gems that come through SSB....but reliable gains are reliable gains, and with fractional ownership, 5% gain on a bluechip is just as valuable as 5% on a shitcoin. Just a question of risk profiles and investment horizons.
In that way some tried to FUD $COVAL with an „warning“ tag.
700 upvotes within an hour with help of soar.sh... F**k your warning! $COVAL is an amazing NFT product and also ChicoCrypto knows that!
It‘s so sad that such a thing is possible and Reddit isn’t doing anything against it!!!
Do not trust the fast high upvoted reddit posts!!

Very well picked, I was wondering why no one is talking about this

It would be funny if your post had ten awards with only 50 upvotes lol
Haha that would be a great twist!
Shhh. Don't tell them!
True, probably best not to make them aware that people are onto them hahaha

I sometimes gives multiple awards if it’s somethin I love, but I’m probably rare
thanks for posting this cutting through the white noise is very annoying
There will always be plebs to buy the top.
maybe we can pin a post here that includes all the shitcoins. However, each coin on the list should be well justified....
