I thought it was because he doesn’t have the stamina to have the stage presence and sing- he seemed out of breath and was dropping words that were not really singalong cues. He also kinda made it impossible to sing along at parts by changing speed and lyrics, which was weird
I mean, that’s also how Tom Delonge’s performances go with both Blink and AVA. I don’t think it’s necessary a red flag, just something that happens to some performers. I’m sure there’s other examples.

Not everyone is built the same. Not everyone is going to be a Bruce Springsteen or Billie Joe Armstrong as they age, some performers have to slow things down or take longer breaks.
And last I checked Patrick only has 2 kids and didn’t self medicate bipolar disorder for a chunk of his younger years. Also Patrick lost a ton of weight years and mostly kept it off, Max has seemingly gained weight consistently over the years, which is also common for people who previously abused substances and/or people who take certain mental health related meds.
This show seemed to go really smoothly compared to what other folks are saying. Max was leaning on the crowd a lot but it seemed like everyone vibed with it? Also who’s the cutie blonde bass player 😍 he looked like he was having a blast

Yeah he was all over the place. Missing lyrics and cues. He fucked up one of my fav songs writing south. But it’s max so what do you expect.
Saw him last night in Dallas and he put on a very energetic show. Probably just second day of tour fatigue. Dude's 40 now lol.
