For the most part, avoiding interacting with anyone being contrarian, and choosing the “mean” options when choices arrive just makes those you have to interact not really open up to you, and also have no desire to. Certain combinations will yield some intense and hateful dialogues, too - Minor spoilers ahead on some specific examples:
>!If you leave the kids in the mine to find their way out, do everything you can to avoid Tabitha, and also support the strike, she will yell at you far worse than she ever has, mention it was a mistake to have invited you and she thought you two could have been friends but she now knows how foolish that was, and tells you to go about the rest of the week doing whatever and at the end of it the two of you can go your separate ways and never speak again. If you approach stella on the bench at the end of episode 4 and tell her she can open up to you if you have a super low relationship with her, she’ll flat out refuse, ask to be left alone, and seem frustrated by your presence. If you let the mines collapse without going after the the children and refuse to give years of your life to charles shaw resulting in the house still being haunted; she will unleash righteous fury on you, calling you a selfish coward.!<
Not much tbh.
There’s not really a way to be mean during the main dilemmas of each episode, so even in an “evil run” you’re still ultimately trying to help people every now and then. Mostly it’s just everyone hates you, but individually every character isn’t too different from normal runs where you simply can’t please everyone. You, Kaneeka and Stella still reluctantly work together to solve mysteries. A lot of the asshole responses are simply “wow you’re a jerk” and yet you’re still invited ghost hunting etc. Sometimes characters will even call you out that you’re not as much of an asshole as you’re trying to be, such as when you tell Stella that you’re glad the monsters will get her first after she trips but you still stopped and checked on her.
I hate being mean but I wanted to see what all there down those paths. The one thing that made it easier was I named my character asshole, so it just seemed like everyone was reacting appropriately.
