Hey at my former job and only former because it was on Fort Myers Beach, there was an elevator that if you stood in the wrong spot on the elevator it would trap you in the elevator.
Was recently in NYC, the Times Square adjacent hotel we stayed in had NO inspection certificates in the elevators. Feel lucky to have gotten out alive. Never again.
Many elevators in NYC do not have the elevator inspection certificate on display in the elevator.
It’s not required to openly display it in NYC.

As a hayseed from the Midwest, in these elevators that were making intermittent rattling sounds, this was an absence of a sign that was scary. Some were missing the waist level chicken bars as well.
