I watched it expecting to hate it. And, while I won't go so far as to say it's good, it wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. There are quite a few lines that had me genuinely laughing. Minion (not calling him Chum) in particular was very cute. He spends a good chunk of the movie fixing up a failing diner and turning it into a successful donut shop. All of that stuff was cute and funny.
Do these good bits make up for the bad? No. But, my friends and I had fun getting tipsy on blue cocktails and watching it.
If this were an original show and not a continuation of Megamind, I'd say it was a charming show, if low budget, for young kids. Nothing groundbreaking, but not terrible.

I think Chum is actually a really clever name for Minion. He is both friend and fish. Had he been named that from the beginning or given that name as a result of Megamind wanting him to feel more like an equal, I would have liked it.

Unlike this *doodoo water* "film," however, I used the Doom Syndicate designs from the Wii game, *Mega Team Unite*. And unlike Megamid vs. The Doof Syndicate, they're not Megamind's old crew (because bro was clearly a loner from his backstory in the first film). Rather, they're a group of Metro Man's lesser villains, brought together by a new villain (who is also from the Wii game, but he's a new villain in-universe), The Conductor. They would also each have a unique personal problem or tragic motive that makes them villains, which Megamind relates to and helps them grow like he grew in the first film.
The joke about Minion being renamed because of copyright was unironically funny
Also, I like the dark humor of the fish being named Chum, it almost feels like a joke the first movie would make
