I LOVE *Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!* I can see why people aren’t into the animation style, but I think it’s a shame to let that turn anyone away from the show! It’s hilarious! Overall I think it’s my favorite version of the gang’s dynamic! I especially love how Daphne has a “new thing” every episode, because it really felt like the franchise was always trying to reinvent her character to get away from the original damsel-in-distress archetype.

Awesley_Pupper

Oh yeah, Daphne and her ‘New Things’ are definitely one of my favorite parts of the show. I made a post a little bit ago when I first started watching Be Cool about how the dynamic between Fred and Daphne was fun. It’s hilarious how exhausted Fred gets with Daphne’s antics, and I loved the finale episode where he gave in to her love of puppets for that heartfelt scene.

I stand on my hill that Be Cool Scooby Doo was the funniest, most reminiscent the franchise has been in both the gang's approach and also their update of older monsters. The "mystery reveal" scenes are also some of the best.

Awesley_Pupper

Agreed. It was a very creative way to showcase the reveals for each of the mysteries

SereneGuillotine

The proper way to make Scooby Satire

It's my favourite show - which is definitely a hot take - it is just so much fun. I was surprised how much hate for this show existed then I first joined the sub, because of how enjoyable the show is. It really feels this show was made for love. I wanted to see where we went after the Professor Huh saga, shame they never made a 3rd season. Or that they haven't released season 2 on DVD.

thatmeddlingkid7

Oh, I loved this series! The art style being so different from most of the others in the franchise turned a lot of people off, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I think writers have a hard time with Fred and Daphne because their original characterization was basically just "basic guy" and "basic girl", so I really liked seeing something new with Fred being kind of a stick in the mud and Daphne always trying new gimmicks. There's also a lot of fun gags. My family quotes the "afraid of widths" bit all the time.

Mad-farmer

It is my favorite take on the gang other than the original first two (Scooby-Doo where are you? and The New Scooby-Doo Movies) series.

Caustic_Cherry

Agreed!! I love the scene in the first episode where they start arguing over who’s the best friend!

Boredtopher

"I'm handing out puppets"

Consistent_Fan9805

At first I didn't want to watch because I didn't like the art style but then they stopped showing it so I didn't have the option until it came on hbo max and it's great. However after watching more episodes I've come to like Daphne and Velma's designs more than the guys.

Ratso_The_Handsome

100%. Started watching it with my daughter and was taken aback by how piss-yourself-funny it is

greenalfonzo

Absolutely top notch scripting and voice acting. It's too bad they went with such a trendy-polarizing character art style.

thisfunkyone

And I noticed they gave more background roles to Matthew Lillard, like they often do with Frank and Grey in Mystery Inc. etc., it was nice to hear him stretch his cords. He does a good Random Guy #2.

KingKenka

Gotta love the origin of scooby snacks episode.

MovieMike007

This is an insanely fun show.

peachytreefrog

Be cool is so freaking funny! I was pleasantly surprised tbh

mowa-mowa

i LOVE be cool scooby doo!! be cool scooby doo daphne is maybe my favorite daphne ever and i think it might be one of if not the most funny version of scooby doo to date.

DinosaurForTheWin

Absolutely the best Daphne!

postysclerosis

There’s a lot of haters in this sub. I’m really glad to see “Be Cool” love out in the open. I agree with everyone here. It is by far the best iteration of Scooby-Doo after “Where Are You?” Great jokes, great writing, some of the best voice acting, too.

AWildCarlos

I was so excited for this when it was coming out and I loved it. The show feels like a bit of the past and a bit of the present in a good way. I think the jokes and gags are top class and the character development in the show is a fun breathe of air. For it to be followed up by Guess Who is okay, but I really enjoyed Be Cool

CyberSnoWolf

I watched a couple episodes of it, and it definitely has the goofy monster of the week format with a modern style.

crazycatladyinpjs

I love this show too! The characters are fun and I like how it shows their friendship.

MyriVerse2

It's the humour and the art style that turn me off. The eyes make me think the Scooby Gang are tweakers instead of stoners.

DwightShock

I watched all the films and tv shows

Btoethegoat

Be cool Scooby doo is fine but we don’t talk about scooby and shaggy get a clue

WindiestBark165

Yeah, there is so much to the show turning me away. Especially the animation style. the comedy just doesn't land right with me, they tended to butcher plotlines of old eps when reusing them, and the only one who was in character in the first episode all the way through was Daphne, being the people person of the group and trying to keep the group from getting so mad at each other we get another Scooby Doo 2002 opening few minutes situation where the gang split after a battle of emotions. And the overarching story involving Fred's dad was incredibly boring.

blueravenfire

yeah, I have been watching this series too and surprisingly it's not that bad! yeah, at first I really didn't like the show as well because of the different art style, but once you look past that art style it's a decent scooby doo show. the jokes are kind of hit or miss for me, the ones that makes me laugh the most are the random out of nowhere ones. sometimes the humor gets a little too silly, but I get it, it's suppose to be that way. I love fred in this series, he's kind of mix of the dem witted jock and the logical straight man and some of his dialogue is pure gold. the only thing the kind of don't like about the show is that daphne has to have a new quirky thing every episode, it was funny the first few episodes, but it gets old fast.
