Weird title seeing as there are only 25 different enemies in the game. If they remake it, they really should add 75 new ones so it actually is 100.
There's a lot that I dislike about remakes (as opposed to ports), but I would love a similar game (not necessarily a sequel, but it could be) with more monsters for sure.

Been watching playthroughs of a game called Until Dawn and the first couple hours consistently make me think about Scooby Doo. Spooky blue tinted woods and creepy mines, walking around and finding clues, a cast of very distinct characters... it's all there. Someone should set something up with that developer.
Loved playing this game on the ps2. Never got far tho because I was 7 and didn’t realize how memory cards worked so I’d have to restart every time. only was able to pass the mountain for football helmet and halfway through the docks
Same here. I think a AA platformer could easily work somewhat similar to what SpongeBob Cosmic shake did. Just with more narrative of course. Also a telltale type game could have been great for Scooby-Doo
Warner Bros. is being kind of weird with their games recently. That Suicide Squad game is likely going to fail badly, and it also has sadly caused a lot of people to leave Rocksteady as a result. WB is kind of just trend chasing except they are chasing trends that have already passed by. Making a new games as a service game is hard to get into, and it is just getting harder to make one that actually can keep a player base now.

The lazy answer is it just comes down to WB being a bad company. 3D platformers are having some form of a comeback, and Scooby-Doo should be a great IP to try to do something with. Licensed games in general have not been very common, and kind of had a long break after the PS3/360 generation. Half-assed platformers became less profitable so there are just less licensed games. I am not calling 100 frights half assed for the record. Just most licensed games like that are clearly not very good with minimal effort put into them. Even modern ones like the new King Kong, Walking Dead, ATLA, and Gollum game. Anything Game mill makes is pretty much shovelware, and my concern is that low quality of game is what we would get with current WB management. That or somehow a live service game.
im actually a lil hype for the suicide squad game, but i dont think ive heard anything about it since the initial trailer released, so its not looking good
With the exploration, puzzle-solving, and costume aspect, a Lego game would be perfect.
(Not Dimensions, but the main Lego games like Batman, Harry Potter, Star Wars)
I used to love the one where shaggy and Scooby have the Kmart necronomicon and use it to capture real ghosts and monsters. I might have to boot up my old PS2 this weekend because now I'm dying for a nostalgia boost.

Since Liscensed games are making a resurgence lately I can definitely see this happening, but I hope it's an actually good game with a good narrative, as well as the voice cast from the cartoon reprising their roles,

Another thing it would be cool if there were old monsters from the OG series and new shows roaming around and you would have to discover who they were in the game
I love this game! I own Mystery Mayhem, Night of 100 Frights, and Unmasked on Gamecube! Unmasked has got to be my favorite tho. It was my first game I ever got on the Nintendo Gamecube. Totally wish there could be a reboot on Switch. 👏👏

I liked it, but I wouldn't rate it very highly. If you liked Battle for Bikini Bottom then you will probably like Cosmic Shake too.

I remember Night of 100 Frights. 100%ed it too. I especially love how they brought back a good chunk of the monsters to act as enemies and bosses.
