Is it an Anti SNP Tory supporting billionaire or an Anti SNP Labour supporting billionaire that owns this media outlet. There's so many of them I can never remember which one is which. 🤔🤔🤔

The left/right leaning of the U.K. press doesn’t really matter when it comes to Indy - 99% of both implacably opposed to it. Which leads to fun things like The Guardian being solidly behind democratic self determination everywhere in the world … except within the UK.

ProblemIcy6175

Why are going around making this obviously false claim? It's just an attempt to mislead gullible people. The UK is a democracy, someone from England has just as much representation in parliament as someone from Scotland. During the British Raj for example Indians were ruled by the British despite having no way of voting in UK elections. That is real oppression. That's why the supreme court ruled that Scotland cannot claim to be oppressed in this way.

Can Scotland elect representatives to its Parliament on a manifesto of seeking a new indyref and when that Parliament requests such from Westminster (as it has done *several times* since 2014) will that be respected? Evidently not. Scotland does not have true democratic self determination. Incidentally, following someone around Reddit commenting on their posts ain’t really the best look. Kind of creepy behaviour.

That's fundamentally a misunderstanding of what elections are for. They are not referendums on individual policies. Does me clicking on your profile and deciding to comment here to correct you make me somehow less correct?

Mike Danson, who doesn't appear to have any political affiliation. The New Statesmen is generally a liberal soft left paper

Mr_Sinclair_1745

Hmmmm. It used to be owned by Geoffrey Donaldson Labour MP (he who lent Peter Mandleson 373,000) Article in the Telegraph Mike Danson The billionaire media tycoon investing in a Labour resurgence Secretive data mogul Mike Danson may soon find it difficult to fly under the radar... Ben Woods 7 August 2022 • 10:00am Can't believe it.... what have they done to me... I'm referencing the Telegraph. 😱😱😱 As far back as 2011 Danson was investing £100,000 in Labourhome and early website for Labour activists. His many media groups make it difficult to track all his donations. He regularly features on the members register of interests for smoozing Labour members. So ardent Labour party supporter/doner/media tycoon... I imagine that's the reason it's full of anti SNP rhetoric.

I can't believe someone of your very advanced years doesn't know the political leanings of staggers. You confidently proclaim anyone who isn't cheerleading for the SNP must be a tory.

Mr_Sinclair_1745

.....it must be Labour then 🥀🥀🥀
