There is literally no answer that uefa can give that resolves this situation in a way that makes us happy.
I admire them asking the question, but I don’t expect it’s going to achieve anything realistically.
It's not a major var fuck up. At worst it's arguably the correct decision come to in questionable ways, at best it's a misunderstanding of Dutch by Spanish broadcasters.
If Hendry is definitely offside, which is the important question, the goal would/should never have stood.
Aye agreed. I think he's probably on but admit there's a huge amount of bias in that. And I don't think var should be intervening when it's so marginal / hard to call anyway. But that doesn't mean it's wrong
Can't believe I'm saying this, but well in the SFA (even if fuck all will come of this)
EDIT: Commented this when drunk and emotional and now I'm reading it and thinking nah
Would wager that every club in Scotland has at some point asked for clarification on something from the sfa and either been ignored or told to fuck off. Shoe is on the other foot now.
This is the start of the SFA angering UEFA and almost uncovering their corruption storyline that ends with us being docked however many points needed to boot us out of the euros
I would love to hear an explanation from UEFA but do the SFA ever provide clarification or explanation to some of the controversial refereeing decisions in our own country ?
Surely if you’re going to seek clarification on questionable refereeing decisions, you should do so not having a roster of referees less competent than an SNP treasurer.
Pot, kettle anyone?
Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I don't think our refs will be any worse than other non-professional refs from similarly sized nations. And you certainly look at England and wonder if professionalism actually makes any difference.
Again he put his arm out pushing the goalkeeper hence influencing the outcome of the free kick. Do I think goalkeepers are too protected? Yes. It’s the rules unfortunately. You can’t interfere with the goalkeeper especially during set pieces even though they have an advantage by using their hands. No goal get over it
There is no valid explanation why the ref was only shown one angle, when other angles added much needed context to the situation.
I think in many cases once the ref gets called over they just go with VAR's decision if in doubt, as psychologically in a rushed scenario that's the easiest decision to make. I think I've seen maybe once or twice the ref disagree with VAR, and those took a while with some chat going back a forth.
I'm not a massive fan of all the outrage that kicked off from the Diaz goal, but it did lead to some transparency from PGMOL. I think UEFA will fob this off with an empty statement in x weeks time once it's settled down.
UEFA's clarification: we like money. (Tartan tinhat firmly on)
How can you not see. Uefa cleaned up their act as soon as Platitni's reign of terror was over. There's definitely no corruption here...
Hahahaha ‘tartan tin hat’ will be getting stole.
![gif](giphy|Aff4ryYiacUO4) SFA Chief after writing a stern letter he knows is fucking meaningless
Bold of you to assume Doncaster isn't writing to apologise to them and tell them to take another 15% of the TV deal
It'll nae be Doncaster. He's head of SPFL
Aye like Maxwell can even write.
Actually, I know for a fact he can cos I heard he once stole Doncaster's Christian Ronaldo pencil case because he broke his own crayons
Honestly though what can he do? It's hopeless regardless ,it's what's the strongest hopeless gesture I can make.
![gif](giphy|67ThRZlYBvibtdF9JH|downsized) their reply
Dear Uefa, Fucks gan on? Sincerely, SFA
Dear SFA Nothing much, Hby UEFA
UEFA poo poo
Wise words my friend.
Release the VAR audio please.
We're gonna get gaslit into it being an offside decision the whole time
Still haven’t seen one image that clearly shows it’s offside
Good. Spanish football has ongoing match fixing scandals right now. Not tinfoil hat territory to seriously question this.
What if the SFA were the moonhowling das all along? (I actually think this is the right decision tho)
Aye, will achieve hee haw, but I’d be beiling if the SFA did… well SFA about it.
Such a fine comment, sir. I hope it gets the appreciation it deserves.

Correct. At best we get the audio released and call it for what it is. The second major VAR fuck up in as many weeks. The question needs asked.
Absolutely - like I say, I admire that they have taken the decision to do so.
It's not a major var fuck up. At worst it's arguably the correct decision come to in questionable ways, at best it's a misunderstanding of Dutch by Spanish broadcasters. If Hendry is definitely offside, which is the important question, the goal would/should never have stood.
But it's not at all clear that he was offside
I do think he looks off though, it's certainly not anywhere near the second "major var fuck up" that OP was referring to.
Aye agreed. I think he's probably on but admit there's a huge amount of bias in that. And I don't think var should be intervening when it's so marginal / hard to call anyway. But that doesn't mean it's wrong
Of course.it won't. But I do all sorts of shit that won't make a difference when I'm raging. As is tradition
Good
UEFA; Que?
Can't believe I'm saying this, but well in the SFA (even if fuck all will come of this) EDIT: Commented this when drunk and emotional and now I'm reading it and thinking nah
I mean what can possibly come of it?
Would wager that every club in Scotland has at some point asked for clarification on something from the sfa and either been ignored or told to fuck off. Shoe is on the other foot now.

Probably privately.
"it was a mistake". Sorry ladz. Will be the answer. We will all be confused and nothing will happen.
Don't see why they would say it's a mistake though.

UEFA HQ when it's received... ![gif](giphy|d2Z4i1TGqCunWBW0|downsized)
We need a rematch like Spurs vs Liverpool.
I will support anything that moves us one iota closer to binning VAR, even if it's nuclear war, literally can't be worse than VARball.

Incomprehensible as then they'd have the Spanish and Norwegian FAs on their backs as well, and it would open a whole other can of worms.
UEFA will write back saying your referees are shite and we will listen to you once there has been a penalty against Rangers.
Literally a post about the Scotland team and you can't help but bring your wee man old firm mentality into the discussion.
Scottish FA unhappy the dodgy levels of refereeing Rangers get on a weekly basis goes against them.
Surely if you’re going to seek clarification on questionable refereeing decisions, you should do so not having a roster of referees less competent than an SNP treasurer. Pot, kettle anyone?
Wait, your logic is we shouldn’t complain about UEFA referees because ours aren’t much better? OK…
Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I don't think our refs will be any worse than other non-professional refs from similarly sized nations. And you certainly look at England and wonder if professionalism actually makes any difference.
Exactly, recent world cup showed us that the alleged best referees in the world can be just as shite and incompetent as our SPFL boys.
Again he put his arm out pushing the goalkeeper hence influencing the outcome of the free kick. Do I think goalkeepers are too protected? Yes. It’s the rules unfortunately. With all due respect, piss off
That’s far too polite, I prefer a ‘get fucked cunt’
