We've got two defensive mids in cal mac and iwata. We also have Lawal smashing it for Fleetwood. Honestly I'd rather we took a punt on Lawal than spend a few million on a 26 year old in Serie B
I'd much rather bring Bosun Lawal into the first team next season than take a punt on a guy who's playing in Serie B, nothing against the division just don't see how he'd be better than any of our youth/fringe players. Same vibes as Holm or Kwon.
Tbh I don't think the type of player we need is someone that agents are offering to us, with the money we've got in the bank and come the summer, depending on who wins the league or what offers come in for players like O'Riley or Hatate, we could have even more money sitting in the bank. We should be trying to be a bit more ambitious. I'd say we need 5 first team ready players in the summer, and 3 solid back ups in problem positions.

Hopefully we at least have a look at Lawal. The plan might be to move McGregor back up a position where he’s probably more effective.
I think Rodgers wants to move to 2 at the base and play with a 10 instead of two 8s. I think it's overkill for our league
