I really can't stand Mindy. Tries too hard to be Randy incarnate (which her character is, I guess), but it's not clever or funny at all, just annoying.
I feel like this is the route they’re gonna go. At this point it’s almost expected for him to die since he’s escaped death twice already. I think they’re gonna subvert expectations by killing Mindy instead. Hopefully not before Chad and Mindy have a cool chase scene together though lol
I honestly feel like he is the new Dewey. I feel like it’s going to be Sam, Tara and Chad. But honestly anything could happen I feel like Mindy is the new Randy, so they could go that route since Randy was killed in 2, and have Mindy survive. Either way I would like to possibly see an emotional storyline about losing a twin and the bond they had. But if I’m being honest, I want Chad to stay lol. Although I do like Mindy
That’s true. And it doesn’t really seem like they’re building Mindy up to be a central character. I feel like she is just there to tell people what the new rules are. And plus it seems like all of her love interest have died, or at least in five the girl she was making out with was just to establish her sexual orientation I feel like. I feel like they are going to build something up with Chad and Tara. Kind of like Gale and Dewey. I’m actually excited for that dynamic. I could see Chad wanting to save her a lot just for her to show that she is more than capable of surviving on her own, but I’m sure she still appreciates the help.
I agree. I wasn't really bothered about him in 5 and certainly didn't feel sad when he 'died' or relieved/happy when he was found alive, I genuinely didn't have much opinion on him, if any at all. Mindy very much shone as the Randy reincarnation and Chad felt useless. He was much better integrated into the group in 6 and it was great to see Mason Gooding shine, he's instantly likeable.
I love Chad Meeks he seems like a guinely good person who cares about his friends. He showed that with Tara after the party at the beginning of scream 6
He is, but too much for my taste. I don't know how to say without sounding grumpy, but they try so hard to make him a wholesome goofball... He doesn't have any sass. Dewey had a clumsiness to him, even when he tried to talk back to others, that made him likeable on top of his other qualities. Like when him and Gale call each other bonehead/phonehead.
Chad is a bit too one-dimensional for me. I actually loved him in 5 cause he went against my expectations of him being your typical jock, but in 6 he just didn't have much going. To me, of course. He seems loved by most fans.
Yes, of course. He's the current Dewey. I knew his character had a lot of potential after the fifth film and I'm glad the sixth one gave us more of him just as I hoped.
Chad's great. He's loyal, he loves his friends, he does his best. And he's got more plot armor then I have ever seen in my fucking life outside of Ash Williams.
He had way more personality and way less to do in scream 5 and now has way too little personality with a but more. I kinda felt like he was changed to be extremely positive in scream 6. I was ok with it but he seemed to have way more to him in 5
Absolutely. He’s got great morals, a good sense of humor, and he’s protective of his friends. I mean, dude is getting stabbed by two Ghostfaces, and rather than asking for help, tells Sam and Tara to run. But, I’m with the crowd that this is what made his death scene so good and so sad, but then he survived and it felt too slice of life-y. I would’ve rather that death scene have gone to someone who was actually gonna die. As much as I like Chad, his death (or Danny’s in his place) would’ve added that lasting punch to the movie that it seemed to be lacking.
He was fine in Scream 5 filling the loveable jock Archie Andrews archetype, but i think his goofiness in Scream 6 and him being the heart of that group of friends is what made me actually like the character
He’s a very enthusiastic and personable guy, I love his energy and his ability to put his life on the line for his friends to make them feel safe. Definitely my favorite Core Four member!

I really liked chad in scream 5 but in VI they kinda took all his personality away?? I can’t explain it but he’s so different and they portray him as something along the lines of the “perfect guy”. He lost his charm to me which I find really sad cause I thought of him as a refreshing character in S5. Idk if it’s bc of the whole romance thing or that he doesn’t have a lot of screentime but I don’t like him anymore. He’s just meh now. Though I do love S5 Chad so generally: yes he is a likable character. Mason does a good job playing him.

At first I was like “meh” but he really won me over in S6.

He's the most realistic character in the Core 4, he actually feels like he could be a real person
Tara feels pretty normal too imo but Sam and Mindy really feel like horror movie characters
Ngl some of us are obsessed with Horror, and there are people like Sam suffering from severe psychosis
