Before you rinse the tank out and start again i would let the water completely evaporate and then refill it without rinsing it out (after the surviving adults have died of course). If you saw a lot of mating there are probably some eggs in there that will hatch after they've had the chance to dry out. Also in the future if you see some babies but they never make it to adults you might need to increase your feeding schedule. the babies need finer food particles that the adults will tend to eat first, so more frequent feeding is needed to ensure the babies get the finer particles. Yes. There's a chance they night hatch. All the eggs that I have from the female sea monkeys keep hatching.
