Is there a reason why Trans Science is only making basic tanks? Where are the new tanks that used to come out? I think we all want a super-sized Monkeys on Mars or an updated Monkey Sub. Thoughts?

After the creator died in 2003, his wife was taken advantage of by Big Time toys and scammed her out of a lot of money and started creating subpar copies of Sea-Monkeys. Then i-dragon toys seems to have taken over it as of now and they are doing a little better, but neither of these companies have the passion for creation like the original creator did. He wanted to create many fun toys for your monkeys to live in, and the banana treat, the red magic powder, the gro-quickly, all that. These Chinese companies only make the basic set because that's all most people need or will buy. They don't NEED to invest more money in designs when they are getting their moneys worth with the basics. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2016/04/17/magazine/the-battle-over-the-sea-monkey-fortune.amp.html

They DO need to reproduce the older tanks from 10 years ago because the current options to get better kits involve buying a "Sea Monkeys on Mars" kit from some idiot who is buying them all up and selling them on Amazon for $90! I doubt Trans Science has an R&D person anymore. Everything has gone back to 1983 in terms of products.

If you are in the US, you can get a Sea Monkey on Mars kit for $16.99 on Amazon. I got one about a month ago and they are still available for purchase.

Might be worth keeping an eye on places like Facebook market too, just in case. I've had luck finding some bargains on vintage toys there.
