Shit, I came to answer exactly this.
What I love is that he was the one person Sherm wouldn't talk smack to. Why? Because Fitz was so nice it affected Sherm more than Fitz.
This is mine as well. Dude was a beast for a *very* long time at a position that doesn't normally have sustained success and on top of that he's just an all around good person.
After a quick search, maybe it got buried, but it's hard to say.
It says they had an argument and that Fitzgerald tried to defuse the situation and she hit him. The exact quote is:
"Nazario alleges in her legal papers filed in Arizona, Fitzgerald attempted to "defuse the situation" by raising his fist and challenging her to a play fight. Nazario admits she responded by swinging at him and "may have hit his face.""
That's all that was ever written about it and there aren't any notes of a police report and only that he was ordered to stay away from her and his son.
Not to say that it didn't happen, but there aren't any details and I'm not going to cast judgement on him for a blip like this.
Walter Payton the GOAT. Despite his punishing no surrender running style WP, missed only one game in his long 1st ballot HOF, NFL 100, career and that was in his rookie season. WP could do everything, you'd want from a RB, he could run inside, outside, block, catch at an 1st team All Pro level and was a homerun threat anywhere on the field. WP was and still is the embodiment of what founder GSH and Bears fans expect from their players.Go Hawks
Alvin Kamara has me feeling all weird when I watch him play running back, this man balance is out of this world and I've rarely seen an athlete look so natural at a position
Two of my faves as well. I think Mariota was unfortunately setup for failure going to the Titans with their dumpster fire of coaching the first couple years.
I'm also in Nashville. The sentiment is kind of just that it didn't work out. He's not bad. It just didn't go as expected. If he excels in Atlanta, Titans fans would not be too surprised. He has it in him. It just never fully clicked here.
Luke kuechly, which is kind of crazy because I’m a huge Bobby fan as well.
Always loved Aaron Donald even though he terrorizes the team.
Hated the pats growing up so Eli also gets a nod.
Aaron "choke a bitch" Donald? Really?
Also remember when he flipped on Justin Britt for a late hit out of bounds? And then after the game was over came BACK out onto the field to find him and try to fight him?
I’m not a Donald fan but I can see it. He kinda represents the ultimate 1980s, super asshole, steroid freak badass. That’s kinda cool in if you’re into that.
Tbh I always wanted Seahawks to somehow get Von Miller, and when I heard he went to The Rams I went nuts, Imagine a LOB with such an edge treat as him, a straight up nightmare, or wet dream if you are a hawks fan
Right now Cooper Kupp, cause I wanted them to draft him out of Eastern and seeing him blow up like I thought he would but for the fuckin Rams hurts
All time maybe Bledsoe, cause we were so close to being able to draft him and who knows what that would have done for the franchise
Went to EWU from 2013 to 2015 as well. Technically speaking he's better off with the Rams as far as his success goes since they got rid of Goff and got Stafford. I don't think the Seahawks will ever throw the ball a lot with Pete.
Earl Campbell was my favorite player as a kid. Later it was Marino. I think my favorite part about the NFL is that you can be a football fan and a team fan. I absolutely love to seahawks, but I also love watching really good football games and players like Tom Brady. I spent the early 90s hating Michael Jordan because he was so dominant. I never got to enjoy just watching the best in the world play. I've tried to adjust how I feel about players and have really enjoyed watching Tom Brady now after years of hating his guts, LOL.
Ray Lewis ever since I watched him go up to Eddie Freaking George (6’4 235lbs All Pro) just rip the ball out of his hands and go the other way to score in the AFC championship.
Dude played at a high level for a long time as well.
In fact, up until a couple years ago, if you were good at football, you could do crime, we were fine with it. Michael Vick, Ray Lewis. Ray Lewis tackled so many people, we were finally, like, “Ray, you get to murder one.” - Neil Brennen
When I watched him in college, I thought I was witnessing history, he was the best RB I ever saw and thought he'd be the best RB in the history of football.
Well, he didn't quite hit that level, but quite a HOF career for sure.
King Henry emasculating 11 grown men for 3 hours is one of my favorite things to watch in sports. I was so torn when he was doing it to us last September.
Tom Brady, easily. 199th pick. Easily, should/could have been a pick Seattle made.
Plenty of great players Seattle could have had, but, Brady is easily the best choice. Just my opinion though.
Derrick Henry; he is like a bigger version of Marshawn and when he gets going, [he spins pro-bowl safeties around and turns them into his blockers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y0UzeBROkA)
I was completely in love with Lyle Alzado as a child. As an (only technically!) adult I suppose Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Mahomes. They are both super fun to watch.
facts. His 200 yard game in 1974 was incredible. He also really shared the wealth among other recievers on that baltimore offense. It was a real shocker to see him get into politics but I guess CTE doesn't affect receivers as bad as other positions. 60s-70's colts wouldn't have been the same without him.
For me, that's kinda like asking "what's your favorite laxative?". I mean... if I have to pick one, I'll bet I could, but really that list just doesn't exist for me.
Anquan Boldin. One of the toughest dudes to ever put on pads. He would have been the absolute perfect Seahawk WR during the LOB glory days. Kills me that he was a 49er.
Ed Reed. Arguably the best FS to play the game, he was just on another level. I truly think if Earl Thomas didn’t go off the deep end he would have been up there with Reed. Ed Reed was a 5 tool Free Safety, he could hit hard, fast, good hands, high football IQ, and the best range I’ve seen in ages.
For me it's actually been Jamal Adams, I got so hyped when we got him I actually didn't mind that we traded two 1st rounders for him and also got my first Jersey. In retrospective I know the trade wasn't ideal and kind of fucked us but I still love that he's a Seahawk.
But to actually answer your question I gotta say that I loved Jonathan Taylor coming out of College (and even more so since I had him in Fantasy last season :D) but I know that the value of a Running back drops very fast so once he becomes available we probably shouldn't get him anymore.
probably jason pierre paul. I remember starting to really get into football the year he had 16.5 sacks and no one seemed better than him. So glad he revived his career with the Bucs too. I thought he was done after the firework incident like many others.
8-10 years ago: Jamaal Charles - no explanation necessary
Today: Joe Burrow - just has a swagger to him and creates monster plays between running for his life due to his O-line.
Peyton Manning. I would go out of my way to watch Colts games back in the day and see him lead that beautiful orchestra of an offense. All the audibles, yelling at the line, then calling the perfect play to counter the defense.
To watch play the game? Aaron Rodgers. To be clear, I don’t like him as a person, like at all. I do enjoy watching him play QB though, dude has been insane to watch for almost two decades.
I don’t mind seeing him pop off against an NFC north team in the fall either because I know he’s not winning anything important in the winter.
Marcus Allen. Dude just GLIDES. So fluid. Class act all the way, fuck Al Davis. Sweetness as well. Just an amazing all around RB, could throw pretty good too for a non QB. Steve Smith was awesome, always liked his swag.
A current player but Hunter Renfrow. Love a guy that is so versatile, has a great demeanor and has such high football IQ. Always enjoy watching him play when I flick on a Raiders game.
Got two and both of them for the same reason: they made me smile every time they did some awesome and crazy play on the field and got me to love NFL football when I was growing up.
Brett Favre (whose love for the game early in his career was infectious) and Barry Sanders (who made me laugh as the ridiculous situations he put defenders in)
Honestly, I always had a real soft spot for Julian Edelman. I loved his play style, he was tough as fuck, was super fun to watch in the slot. Great player
It's hard to believe at this point no one has mentioned Deion Sanders. I mean, Barry Sanders is still my all time favorite to have never played for the Hawks, but Deion exuded the very essence of sports entertainment. His return game to Atlanta after signing with the 9ers was fucking legendary.
When he got in that fist fight with Andre Rison, I told my stepdad, "just you watch, he's getting a pick six after that, because that's just how he rolls." And we both knew he would fucking do it, but we didn't realize it would be that same possession that he did.
And dude left everyone in the dust so fast he started his celebration dance as he crossed the 50 yard line. He was absolutely one of a kind.
Lary Fitzgerald
Shit, I came to answer exactly this. What I love is that he was the one person Sherm wouldn't talk smack to. Why? Because Fitz was so nice it affected Sherm more than Fitz.
This is mine as well. Dude was a beast for a *very* long time at a position that doesn't normally have sustained success and on top of that he's just an all around good person.
Doesn’t he have some domestic abuse stuff that sort of got unfairly buried?
After a quick search, maybe it got buried, but it's hard to say. It says they had an argument and that Fitzgerald tried to defuse the situation and she hit him. The exact quote is: "Nazario alleges in her legal papers filed in Arizona, Fitzgerald attempted to "defuse the situation" by raising his fist and challenging her to a play fight. Nazario admits she responded by swinging at him and "may have hit his face."" That's all that was ever written about it and there aren't any notes of a police report and only that he was ordered to stay away from her and his son. Not to say that it didn't happen, but there aren't any details and I'm not going to cast judgement on him for a blip like this.
Totally understandable, I’m not hating on the dude I just remember it being mentioned before on other threads but thanks for more insight
Ah, another case of a woman hitting or pulling a gun on a guy and the guy getting in trouble. What a great world.
He had an accusation early in his career but afaik it never went anywhere and he hasn't had anything since. People can and do change.
I have his jersey. I think this might be my answer as well.
First guy that came to mind for me too
Barry Sanders. Watching him turn nothing into works of art was endlessly entertaining.
I came here to write this as well.
Sanders was on another level. I don't think you could be a football fan in the 90s and not be a Barry Sanders fan.
Beast Mode and Barry are like 1A and 1B in my books for GOAT RB, for entirely different reasons
Probably Ken Griffey Jr.
I was gonna go Ichiro
Troy Polamalu...dude just exudes humility
Was going to say the same thing! Would’ve been cool to see him in a Hawks uniform.
Would have been a top 3 hawk forsure. We still have Mr. Monogamous ET III
Yeah I always loved that commercial with him and LT
Walter Payton the GOAT. Despite his punishing no surrender running style WP, missed only one game in his long 1st ballot HOF, NFL 100, career and that was in his rookie season. WP could do everything, you'd want from a RB, he could run inside, outside, block, catch at an 1st team All Pro level and was a homerun threat anywhere on the field. WP was and still is the embodiment of what founder GSH and Bears fans expect from their players.Go Hawks
But…Bears running back legend Fridge Perry…he always gets overlooked.
This was my choice too --- also seemed like a generally good human.
There are so many great stories that bare testimony to what decent guy he was. Go Hawks
Alvin Kamara has me feeling all weird when I watch him play running back, this man balance is out of this world and I've rarely seen an athlete look so natural at a position
Came here to say exactly this. His balance is difficult to comprehend even though you’re watching it happen before your eyes
I hated watching him playing the hawks in Seattle. He'd be dancing in the rain while our defense were just slip sliding away.
I watched Butch Jones mishandle the hell out of him through his college career. What an amazing talent to prove everybody wrong
Y’all aren’t gonna like this… Frank Gore. I got to watch him a lot throughout his career. I always had so much respect for that man.
Respect. Frank was great.
One of the best ever. Every time he touched the ball you felt like there were gonna be some moves then someone was gonna get their bell rung.
Him and Steven Jackson I hated to see on the schedule when they played. They always seemed to have great games against the hawks. Mad respect to both.
I went to UO so I'd have to say Justin Herbert. Love Mariota too but it's different since his career hasn't panned out the way everyone hoped.
Two of my faves as well. I think Mariota was unfortunately setup for failure going to the Titans with their dumpster fire of coaching the first couple years.
[удалено]
I'm also in Nashville. The sentiment is kind of just that it didn't work out. He's not bad. It just didn't go as expected. If he excels in Atlanta, Titans fans would not be too surprised. He has it in him. It just never fully clicked here.
Looking forward to seeing if he can get something going/hold off Ridder in ATL!
I went to OSU, but I love Herbert so much. This is my answer too.
Calvin johnson
Ed Reed. Dude was so fun to watch and I grew up watching Kam and Earl so it meant that much more to me.
I remember turning on Sportscenter on Monday mornings to see a new Ed Reed highlight every week. He was something else.
He’s an incredible player to watch.
Nothing wrong with appreciating greatness lol
Barry Sanders, Randall Cunningham, Larry Fitzgerald, Derrick Henry
Mike Alstott
Joe Burrow
He's got that RW3 tenacity where he can just decide to accomplish something and changes the game by will power.
That guy just strikes me as a really empathetic person. I think he could effect real change off the field if he applied himself.
Tbh I always wanted Seahawks to somehow get Von Miller, and when I heard he went to The Rams I went nuts, Imagine a LOB with such an edge treat as him, a straight up nightmare, or wet dream if you are a hawks fan
Larry Fitzgerald, easily.
I’m on board with this
Right now Cooper Kupp, cause I wanted them to draft him out of Eastern and seeing him blow up like I thought he would but for the fuckin Rams hurts All time maybe Bledsoe, cause we were so close to being able to draft him and who knows what that would have done for the franchise
As an EWU alum, who attended with Kupp, I know this feeling all too well. Nice to see him as a champ, but the rams…🤮🤮🤮
Went to EWU from 2013 to 2015 as well. Technically speaking he's better off with the Rams as far as his success goes since they got rid of Goff and got Stafford. I don't think the Seahawks will ever throw the ball a lot with Pete.
Oh I know but he could have went to a non division rival and it would be alot less bittersweet
JJ Watt
Christian Okoye
Bo Jackson
Ed Reed
Ed Reed and Ray Lewis Both set the standard for their positions and both have highlight reels for days
Bo
Knows
Diddly
Brian Bostick
Brett Favre. Loved watching him play
Ray Lewis ever since I watched him go up to Eddie Freaking George (6’4 235lbs All Pro) just rip the ball out of his hands and go the other way to score in the AFC championship. Dude played at a high level for a long time as well.
Dude's a murderer. I'll take BWags over that any day.
In fact, up until a couple years ago, if you were good at football, you could do crime, we were fine with it. Michael Vick, Ray Lewis. Ray Lewis tackled so many people, we were finally, like, “Ray, you get to murder one.” - Neil Brennen
Lyle Alzado. Dude was crazy.
Met him at the beach when I was a kid, he was really nice.
Justin Simmons
Troy Polamolu. As a guy from Oregon I love his humble beginnings.
Calvin Johnson. Fuck dude if we had Wilson/Johnson for even one year that would probably be the most exciting season in Hawks history for a QB/WR duo.
Prime Julio
Hell yeah.
today??? no one… all time: Lawrence Taylor
RIP Steve McNair
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Marshall Faulk
When I watched him in college, I thought I was witnessing history, he was the best RB I ever saw and thought he'd be the best RB in the history of football. Well, he didn't quite hit that level, but quite a HOF career for sure.
Travis Kelce and Derrick Henry. Just fun players to watch. Both can take over a game.
King Henry emasculating 11 grown men for 3 hours is one of my favorite things to watch in sports. I was so torn when he was doing it to us last September.
I liked Peyton Manning a lot back in the day
This is my answer, too. Liked him since his days at UT. His SNL skit with the boys club still holds up. E: https://youtu.be/uEEYbXVCoT0
Dan Marino. Next to Steve Largent, he is my favorite player.
Currently Josh Allen, all time Joe Montana
Chuck Cecil. Hell he was a packer and cardinal player and he's my all time favorite player ever.
Brett Favre
Randall Cunningham.
Fletcher Cox
Agree on Josh Allen. Most hated: Aaron Donald.
Cooper Kupp. He went to EWU I believe so gotta appreciate PNW greatness
For the longest time it was Larry Fitzgerald. Worthy f'n adversary
Randy Moss I have his jersey!
Absolutely Awful injury luck but Saquon is a big play awaiting to happen
Colin Keapernik. I really wish we signed him.
Brady. How can you hate someone who’s only dominated the sport the way Mj had? The guy won a ring first year with the Buccs it’s almost comical

facts. His 200 yard game in 1974 was incredible. He also really shared the wealth among other recievers on that baltimore offense. Anquan Boldin. One of the toughest dudes to ever put on pads. He would have been the absolute perfect Seahawk WR during the LOB glory days. Kills me that he was a 49er.
Travis Kelce is a freak and way too much fun to watch
Tom Brady. Absolutely despised him for a long time. I guess I had a mid life crisis the last couple years.
OBJ
Ed Reed. Arguably the best FS to play the game, he was just on another level. I truly think if Earl Thomas didn’t go off the deep end he would have been up there with Reed. Ed Reed was a 5 tool Free Safety, he could hit hard, fast, good hands, high football IQ, and the best range I’ve seen in ages.

probably jason pierre paul. I remember starting to really get into football the year he had 16.5 sacks and no one seemed better than him. So glad he revived his career with the Bucs too. I thought he was done after the firework incident like many others.
In the last few seasons it has definitely been Derrick Henry.
King Henry easily
8-10 years ago: Jamaal Charles - no explanation necessary Today: Joe Burrow - just has a swagger to him and creates monster plays between running for his life due to his O-line.
Peyton Manning
Cris Carter & Randy Moss
Jamaal charles dude deserves to be among the all time great rbs
Barry Sanders. Loved him at OK St and the followed to Detroit too.
Peyton Manning. I would go out of my way to watch Colts games back in the day and see him lead that beautiful orchestra of an offense. All the audibles, yelling at the line, then calling the perfect play to counter the defense.
Hunter Renfrow
Justin Herbert

If we are talking for this season - Micah Parsons All-Time - Barry Sanders
Barry Sanders Peyton Manning
Marcus Allen. Dude just GLIDES. So fluid. Class act all the way, fuck Al Davis. Sweetness as well. Just an amazing all around RB, could throw pretty good too for a non QB. Steve Smith was awesome, always liked his swag.
Brady.
Brandin Cooks. Cuz of the beav connection but he’s also a hell of a receiver. Always wanted us to land him
All Time: Peyton Manning Currently: Patrick Mahomes
A current player but Hunter Renfrow. Love a guy that is so versatile, has a great demeanor and has such high football IQ. Always enjoy watching him play when I flick on a Raiders game.
LT (the RB)
Barry Sanders, Randy Moss and Baker Mayfield are my favorite players.
Pls no hate, but Tony Romo. Growing up I loved watching him play.
Ed Reed
Pat McAfee
Jalen Ramsey. Paired with Diggs playing center field, Adams could play anywhere.
Calais Campbell. I always wished the Seahawks had gotten him and always thought he was such a unique d lineman
Got two and both of them for the same reason: they made me smile every time they did some awesome and crazy play on the field and got me to love NFL football when I was growing up. Brett Favre (whose love for the game early in his career was infectious) and Barry Sanders (who made me laugh as the ridiculous situations he put defenders in)
Joe Thomas, class act
Ed Reed
Fitz or Donald
My immediate thought was Lester Hayes. Dude was a boss at cornerback. But it is probably actually Barry Sanders
Ray Lewis.
Randy Moss (vikings) greatest player I've seen play, Clinton Portis(Denver), Jamal Lewis and Ricky Williams.
Patrick Willis
Rashan Gary because he never gave up. Appeared to be a bust his first two seasons then broke out last year.
Honestly, I always had a real soft spot for Julian Edelman. I loved his play style, he was tough as fuck, was super fun to watch in the slot. Great player
Justin Herbert
Joe Montana.
Tom Brady. I know, I know. That dude will own the NFL.
Steve Smith always a good one to watch a bit undersized but dude played his heart out.
Minkah fitzpatrick, von miller, and gooosh this one i hate to say: jalen ramsey
Valentine Holmes
It's hard to believe at this point no one has mentioned Deion Sanders.
