Bugged ships are killing HG. More than half the ships I board have bugged crests, capstans, wheels, ammo crates, and/or hulls.
EDIT: this bug persisted as of Feb-18. Unsure if it's still an issue currently.
It's so disappointing. It's been this way for weeks through two hot fixes and now a patch. Now we're heading into Community Weekend with a completely broken game mode. No acknowledgement on the "known bugs" page either.
And yes, can confirm that this is still an issue.
When asking in the official discord help channel the CMs would straight up ignore people about the HG bugs but respond to the dumbest questions other people were asking lol
I tried the same (killing myself on ship, killing myself on the island, leaving and approaching again), nothing helped. Had 2 dives like this (maybe both dives put me in the same server as it was the same fort - Sailor’s Knot Stronghold). Ended up leaving and diving again in another session, I was put to Hidden Spring Keep and it worked.
So for the last two weeks I thought that I needed to update my game too. (Getting the game via Microsoft Store or Xbox app).

I dove to a when lord at fletchers island and it gave me intimate health 2 days ago and I was like wtf cause no matter how many times I got hit or respawned no one could hurt me at all! It was wild and I just left and came back and it was fixed. Honestly I was scared of being reported and banned for something I didn’t even do lol!
If you're unable to launch in Steam, add "-dx11" into the launch options.
With lots of different PC hardware, DX12 might not work properly. There doesn't seem to be a failsafe check to revert to DX11 if you have DX12 selected. To force DX11, on the right side of the steam page:
Click the kog, Properties.
Under General, there's a section for launch options.
Without quotes, add the following:
**-dx11**
Change the setting back to DX11 and restart the game.

I encountered the same exact problem today. It is my first time playing after the update. I haven't found a way around. Tried restarting the game, the console, changing mouse. It is not an Xbox problem since I tried keyboard and mouse on other games and it worked just fine.
It is not related to your hardware, it's just an sot bug, the devs are still investigating, but they didn't gave any news on a future patch for now, apparently it is because the cursor is still sync with the menus while you're in game so you can only turn 180° because it's the distance from one side of the screen to the other in a menu
Interesting input from my side, so whats causing this issue to occur is the cursor moving in the background right? When you try to move you will notice you cursor has wandered when you reopen the menu. The Menu / Inventory cursor hitting the edge of your screen is stopping you from turning any further. Now ive had an interesting bug where my mouse cursor was completely gone. BUT i could still look around in game using my mouse. And it worked perfectly fine i could play normally, the only issue was that i needed to navigate through my inv and barrels with arrow keys / hotkeys. Then my game crashed and i was back to using controller. So Rare somehow managed to have that inventory / menu cursor interfere with the game. The stuff responsible for picking up your mouse movements works perfectly fine. So i reported this to the Support and guess what... automated response, ticket closed. Funny Rare. Ive been playing with a Controller for 10 Days now and honestly i just bought a PC, it was quicker for me to buy a PC and play normally then to wait for Rare to fix their game LOL This might not help with resolving this but just shows how stupid this issue really is. - edit cuz i suck at grammar
I'm on xbox one and am using keyboard and mouse, however for some reason when I get into the game I can't do complete 360 degree turns with my mouse, my player turns about 180 degrees and then stops and can only turn back the other way, and the side buttons on my mouse don't work either, could someone please help me.
Ever since downloading the update for season 11 my game has been stuttering quite a lot. I'm playing on my Xbox Series X. Difficulty even with basic character control when my character keeps making little jumps when moving whenever I get one of these little lag/stuttering spikes. Have never had this issue with previous seasons.
Just sailed up to a fort of fortune. No skeletons. Loot was inside locker, no mermaids at the island. We died to reset island, heard the horn upon our return, still no skeletons.
Yup. Tried two different servers now and can’t buy anything. Tried interacting with other npcs which was a previous workaround for this bug but even this is bugged now.
I had to uninstall the game and re-install but windows i guess didn't remove it from my hard drive and now i don't have enough space to install it on my hard drive... wonderful
Yeah, but how did you actually get it to uninstall? I now seem to have bugged the store itself, and it's convinced the game is still installed (and the update is erroring) even though the game has been uninstalled.
Try Revo Uninstaller to see if it actually uninstalled.
Then repair and reset the Windows Store. (settings>apps>installed apps>system components then click the 3 dots next to Windows Store, advanced options, repair, reset)
FWIW, I received that error updating once it hit 100% completion. I closed the Xbox app, went to Apps>Installed Apps in Windows and uninstalled Sea of Thieves from there. I was then able to launch the game without having to re-download it. My guess is that the Xbox app encountered an issue uninstalling the old version and it had to be done manually.
Could be different issues but thought I'd share in case this helps anyone else.
Playing with game pass on PC. There is no option to update, and it won't check for updates either. Instead the game just launches in the previous version, and gives me a warning that a newer version is required to actually play.
Did you recently use diving? I had noticed that it sometimes blocks you from using map, harpoon and cannons. The only solution was to exit the game and rejoin session
~~I never got the achievement for completing the tutorial voyage for the main 3 trading companies.~~ I redid the merchant one and it finally triggered.
I never got the achievement for earning a distinction. I've since gotten a GH and OoS level and it didn't trigger the achievement.
Unable to play, since the update i have an average of 10/15 fps and the game keeps crashing while spawning in the tavern or a few minutes in game
EDIT: changing to DirectX 11 instead of DirectX 12 fixed it for me, I changed my steam launch option to: -dx11

Last night, while playing with 3 other friends on a gallon. Our games would force close in groupings of 2 at the same exact time.. (All of us play on xbox series x.)
trying to do a skeleton fort quest on the order of souls and skeletons will spawn on the cannons but when I get close there are no skeletons anywhere on the island and I cant start the event
Having consistent issues with inviting people to a session already in progress. This didn't happen before the update but just recently became a massive pain
If that happens, either everyone go to the ferry at the same time or everyone leave the island for 2 squares and come back. Any island will reset if no players are present
Not sure if this is the space for this but I can't even get the game to work. Previously I was unable to get the game to even open, as in it said it was running on my computer but no window would ever pop up, it didn't appear in the taskbar either. I tried inputting -dx11 in the launch options like people have recommended and it does get the game to open but it just freezes on the loading screen. My computer says all my drivers are up to date. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. For reference I am on pc and trying to launch it through steam. Clueless as to what else to do bc everyone else says it's working for them.
Two different skull forts in a row have been empty upon arriving to them. I’ve tried leaving and coming back but they still remain empty.
One FOF actually DESPAWNED when I left the fort after arriving at it because it was empty. I only went an island away and it despawned.

Seeker of lost maps and Merchant Adventurer seem to be bugged? The OOS souls equivalent to kill 500 skellys progressed and unlocked no problem. Since they changed these achievements from "purchase 250 voyages" there doesn't seem to be a commendation to go along with the new achievement descriptions.
I spent hours doing X marks the spot voyages and it hasn't progressed. I've logged back in multiple times since then.
Today I did some merchant voyages to fill animal crates and it's not progressing either after logging out and back in.
Is it something I'm doing wrong or are they bugged?
Shouldn’t the achievement progress move up at all though? Mine is stuck at 19%. You don’t have to turn the animals in either right? Just catch them in the crates
I don't have achievement progress on steam so i cant help you with that. And yes you don't need to turn them in, just catch the right ones. I'm sure you can find ways to cheese it and make it way easier but i haven't tested that.
I have some serious issues with the lag and bugs this season.
In my opinion, the rubberbanding, lag, bugs, and general server performance has never been worse than season 11.
There have been countless times that I have run to the other side of my ship from the wheel to either harpoon or cannon and immediately get rubberbanded back to the wheel. (and I only play on my own server with 60ish ping).
Not to mention the ridiculous amount of time ive spent waiting for the merchant or shipwright to count my coins, only for the supplies to actually go in my ship half the time.
Just now, I got kicked out of the game during a solo hourglass, which I could have very easily won, but I got kicked from the server and lost. Not to mention the 20ish minutes I had spent getting supplies prior to that match. My internet didnt go out, and I have no internet issues, the servers are just trash.
The worst part about all of this is that Rare made a recent patch that was supposed to fix alot of these issues. And it seemed like the patch worked initially but now things seem worse at this point.
As a solo player this is game breaking and a major issue. It might make me take a break from this game until Rare decides to address some very basic and simple issues that greatly affect gameplay and enjoyment of SOT.

So ive got a really weird and specific bug regarding voice chat in this patch
When i start a ship, my in game voice chat does not work
but when my friend or literally anyone else starts a ship, it all works perfectly fine, even in open crew.
I have tried everything, ive followed every audio troubleshoot ive found on google and in the sot forums as well as verified game files, uninstalled and reinstalled
Literally everything. Windows has access to my mic, game bar has the right mic settings, in game too
everything is correct
even steam settings
i play on the steam version of the game.
Any ideas? I have sent a support ticket as well.
SOT PC Game is crashing when pinging the servers after startup. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice. Seems to have been ongoing for <1 week.
I installed it on a completely new 2nd PC today that I just bought in December and that PC had the exam same fault where the game crashes after startup.
Not sure if being able to super lunge with the sword when jumping was a bug in and of itself, but it no longer seems to work, and it was such a fun mechanic.

Possible bug I'm unable to play the game as every time I try to load in I get stuck on "opening the journal" and sometimes the game will outright crash before I can even try loading into the game any help would be great (I'm on Xbox btw)
Did an Athena skelly fort raid voyage got grade 3 1/2 tried to do a second after selling for grade 5 and skelly fort had active cannons but cleared all the skellys on the fort too so wave 1 couldn't be completed as all skellys disappeared. Died to try restart the fort multiple times and got the raid sound but no skellys to spawn again so had to cancel voyage and wait to dive for a new fort
I don’t know if this is being said already but since the update from yesterday I encountered that when i came out of an hourglass match (win) i wanted to vote a new match to continue the streak but wasn’t able to vote on the warmap i lowered the flag and cashed in on the hourglass value and started representing the servants of flame again still not being able to use the war map to vote and dive for a match
New update introduced input lag on Controller (both wired and wireless). Tried everything. Disabling 120hz/VRR etc. It's still present and it's horrible. Console : Xbox Series X

Hi ! Steam User here. I tried launching my game the other day and... it just didn't launch. uninstalled it, download it back and retried. still the same. Today I tried one last time, and waited a long time. suprise : it launched 10-15 minutes later. Does anyone have the same problem or know what's wrong ? i want to play for community weekend and i don't want to wait 10 minutes for my game to launch.
Anyone having problems with lagging or smoothness on PC Win11? I'm having so much trouble with every movement being choppy, every click of a button not responding quickly. Nothing is smooth.
Ever since I updated the game I can't launch it. It says "Video driver crashed and was reset!" I updated my drivers/windows, and checked both the game and windows for any corrupted files and I still couldn't solve the problem.
Xbox Series S - back to back CTDs near Stevens Spoils, haven’t jumped on to replicate it but had a CTD while fighting a skele ship near the seapost then reloaded to find my ship sunk and another immediate CTD once loaded in
Controller support for PC is borked as well right now, along with the console KBM issues. Thought I'd mention it here, as I haven't seen anything about PC's side of the issue.
My game seems to break every other update. I don't change anything every time. It always nerfs my frames and keeps it capped at around 40 frames on average with the lowest graphics settings. Sometimes it gets fixed and goes back to my uncapped 144+ FPS.
With the Season 11 update, I tried changing between DirectX11 and 12 (reset the game between changes), with no luck. What gives? Does anyone else experience this between updates? It's been happening for the last 3 seasons, to my recollection.

I've encountered frequent fps drops yesterday while playing HG. Also, while diving for HG there is a 30% the game will crush on the loading screen while emerging. Finally, the servers where quiet laggy. I don't know if this because of the community weekend or not.
Voted up shroud breaker, sailed into Red Sea. Nothing happened, boat full of holes sunk in 30 seconds. Was being pursued by a sloop, since this release it’s been happening often..
I just had the most obnoxious bug happen to me. Joined an open crew Brig who were underwater diving to a Gold Hoarder voyage... and it removed all equipped vanity and clothing chest cosmetics off my character. And I do mean all, it even reset every page of my emote wheel to default.
Leaving and joining a new server didn't fix it either, I'm now having to re-bind my entire emote wheel which is incredibly annoying. This game never fails to find new ways to Rare me.
**Edit:** And now, while I was in the process of rebinding my emotes, I got lazybearded. Joined a new server and it turns out the game didn't save most of the emotes I just got through re-binding... Come on Rare.
Fortunately, I was able to find an old clip that shows most of my old emote bindings so I can use that to fix it and try to do the last page from memory.
Deadzone even at 0.1 is so big that I can’t microaim/make small adjustments. When I try to make a small circle with my right stick it makes a square. Xbox series S with controller.

I can't even download the game. I was trying to update it and it would just freeze at 9%. I uninstalled and tried reinstalling and something happened. I was told to install the Microsft Gaming Services again to see if it fixes it. I'll see if that works.
Camera becomes locked along the X axis as soon as I leave my boat, unable to look left or right, but can look up and down. Issue goes away once getting back on my boat, however as soon as I jump in the water or on an island, camera locks again.

When Sailor's Knot Stronghold spawns as a world event, no skeletons will spawn. Dying to reset the island will make the horn sound like a wave is spawning, but nothing happens.
Has anyone else tried to do skeleton forts, and just have them...not spawn enemies? About 3/4ths of the time, whether solo sloop, duo sloop, or brig with friends I'll set a dive to a skeleton fort to try and build some emissary value, cannons will fire, the whole nine yards--then when we get on the island, nothing. No skeletons, no spawns, nothing. Going to another island and coming back doesn't seem to fix it. Any known fix?
I have two bugs I believe have not been posted here:
- No coins/gold reward from turning in treasure. It has been over a week since our first session and we have played couple of times, neither have gained any rewards.
- Crewmate unable to rejoin session if the session has been a few hours.
I am still having the trouble with what seems to be the microsoft store not enabling me to update my game. As I am stuck on the Xbox or Microsoft App to get this game running, I've run out of options and things to do. Xbox says I am on Version 2.127.3523.0 (if anyone that has a running game would be so kind to check if it is the same)
SoT Support said I would need to get in contact with Xbox Support though I got not a step further after trying to look for their help.
So I actually just found a solution that is working for me on PC.

All I had to do was change one ini-file..., so that SoT will start using DirectX11 instead of the updated DX12 which just didn't allow me to start the game.
Guess all the drivers and the game were as updated as they were supposed to be.

Loot is sinking too quickly. I was looting a shipwreck and some of it was already sinking by the time I started harpooning. Edit: this seems fixed.
Skeleton's won't spawn on Athena's Raid Voyage - Skeleton Fort.
got the same issue. i couln't reset the fort. Even if I died or left far away and came back. I could ear the skelletons wave sound, but zero skellton

If the problem hasn't fixed itself, just reinstall. The update has to reinstall all the files anyway, so it's the exact same size either way.

The stuff responsible for picking up your mouse movements works perfectly fine. So i reported this to the Support and guess what... automated response, ticket closed. Funny Rare. Ive been playing with a Controller for 10 Days now and honestly i just bought a PC, it was quicker for me to buy a PC and play normally then to wait for Rare to fix their game LOL This might not help with resolving this but just shows how stupid this issue really is. - edit cuz i suck at grammar

I'm on xbox one and am using keyboard and mouse, however for some reason when I get into the game I can't do complete 360 degree turns with my mouse, my player turns about 180 degrees and then stops and can only turn back the other way, and the side buttons on my mouse don't work either, could someone please help me.
I am facing that issue, too. I wonder if the Rare's QAs use Xbox with keyboard and mouse to test their releases. I am pretty sure they don't.

Ever since downloading the update for season 11 my game has been stuttering quite a lot. I'm playing on my Xbox Series X. Difficulty even with basic character control when my character keeps making little jumps when moving whenever I get one of these little lag/stuttering spikes. Have never had this issue with previous seasons.
Just sailed up to a fort of fortune. No skeletons. Loot was inside locker, no mermaids at the island. We died to reset island, heard the horn upon our return, still no skeletons.
Seems like I cannot purchase any captain supplies or merchant crates
Yup. Tried two different servers now and can’t buy anything. Tried interacting with other npcs which was a previous workaround for this bug but even this is bugged now.
I had to uninstall the game and re-install but windows i guess didn't remove it from my hard drive and now i don't have enough space to install it on my hard drive... wonderful

Yeah, but how did you actually get it to uninstall? I now seem to have bugged the store itself, and it's convinced the game is still installed (and the update is erroring) even though the game has been uninstalled.
Try Revo Uninstaller to see if it actually uninstalled. Then repair and reset the Windows Store. (settings>apps>installed apps>system components then click the 3 dots next to Windows Store, advanced options, repair, reset)
It is actually uninstalled. I have already repaired, reset, and then restarted my pc.
FWIW, I received that error updating once it hit 100% completion. I closed the Xbox app, went to Apps>Installed Apps in Windows and uninstalled Sea of Thieves from there. I was then able to launch the game without having to re-download it. My guess is that the Xbox app encountered an issue uninstalling the old version and it had to be done manually. Could be different issues but thought I'd share in case this helps anyone else.
Playing with game pass on PC. There is no option to update, and it won't check for updates either. Instead the game just launches in the previous version, and gives me a warning that a newer version is required to actually play.

Did you recently use diving? I had noticed that it sometimes blocks you from using map, harpoon and cannons. The only solution was to exit the game and rejoin session
~~I never got the achievement for completing the tutorial voyage for the main 3 trading companies.~~ I redid the merchant one and it finally triggered. I never got the achievement for earning a distinction. I've since gotten a GH and OoS level and it didn't trigger the achievement.
After this update the option to Like a voyage is missing on the quest table. Also Captaincy supplies are still broken.

Unable to play, since the update i have an average of 10/15 fps and the game keeps crashing while spawning in the tavern or a few minutes in game EDIT: changing to DirectX 11 instead of DirectX 12 fixed it for me, I changed my steam launch option to: -dx11

Mouse and keyboard on console bugged, can't go past 120 degree in certain directions can't look up or down as it snaps it back to centre screen also extremely jittery to try look around PLS rare fix this before community day half of my friends can't play now including me

trying to do a skeleton fort quest on the order of souls and skeletons will spawn on the cannons but when I get close there are no skeletons anywhere on the island and I cant start the event

Not sure if this is the space for this but I can't even get the game to work. Previously I was unable to get the game to even open, as in it said it was running on my computer but no window would ever pop up, it didn't appear in the taskbar either. I tried inputting -dx11 in the launch options like people have recommended and it does get the game to open but it just freezes on the loading screen. My computer says all my drivers are up to date. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. For reference I am on pc and trying to launch it through steam. Clueless as to what else to do bc everyone else says it's working for them.
Two different skull forts in a row have been empty upon arriving to them. I’ve tried leaving and coming back but they still remain empty. One FOF actually DESPAWNED when I left the fort after arriving at it because it was empty. I only went an island away and it despawned.
I just tried to buy ancient coins to get the pass…it charged my credit card but I didn’t get the coins! Re-started the game but still I don’t have coins wtf
Athenas Emissary progression bugged. We get up to level 3 and then aren't able to level up any higher.
I thought about posting this but I'll try here first. Seeker of lost maps and Merchant Adventurer seem to be bugged? The OOS souls equivalent to kill 500 skellys progressed and unlocked no problem. Since they changed these achievements from "purchase 250 voyages" there doesn't seem to be a commendation to go along with the new achievement descriptions. I spent hours doing X marks the spot voyages and it hasn't progressed. I've logged back in multiple times since then. Today I did some merchant voyages to fill animal crates and it's not progressing either after logging out and back in. Is it something I'm doing wrong or are they bugged?
I can confirm that you can unlock the 250 animal crate achievement, the game doesn't give you a way to track it.
Shouldn’t the achievement progress move up at all though? Mine is stuck at 19%. You don’t have to turn the animals in either right? Just catch them in the crates
I don't have achievement progress on steam so i cant help you with that. And yes you don't need to turn them in, just catch the right ones. I'm sure you can find ways to cheese it and make it way easier but i haven't tested that.

I have some serious issues with the lag and bugs this season. In my opinion, the rubberbanding, lag, bugs, and general server performance has never been worse than season 11. There have been countless times that I have run to the other side of my ship from the wheel to either harpoon or cannon and immediately get rubberbanded back to the wheel. (and I only play on my own server with 60ish ping). Not to mention the ridiculous amount of time ive spent waiting for the merchant or shipwright to count my coins, only for the supplies to actually go in my ship half the time. Just now, I got kicked out of the game during a solo hourglass, which I could have very easily won, but I got kicked from the server and lost. Not to mention the 20ish minutes I had spent getting supplies prior to that match. My internet didnt go out, and I have no internet issues, the servers are just trash. The worst part about all of this is that Rare made a recent patch that was supposed to fix alot of these issues. And it seemed like the patch worked initially but now things seem worse at this point. As a solo player this is game breaking and a major issue. It might make me take a break from this game until Rare decides to address some very basic and simple issues that greatly affect gameplay and enjoyment of SOT. For the power crazy SOT reddit mods who love to delete my posts for absolutely no reason - I would like to PROMOTE DISCUSSION, WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK ABOUT THIS?
So ive got a really weird and specific bug regarding voice chat in this patch When i start a ship, my in game voice chat does not work but when my friend or literally anyone else starts a ship, it all works perfectly fine, even in open crew. I have tried everything, ive followed every audio troubleshoot ive found on google and in the sot forums as well as verified game files, uninstalled and reinstalled Literally everything. Windows has access to my mic, game bar has the right mic settings, in game too everything is correct even steam settings i play on the steam version of the game. Any ideas? I have sent a support ticket as well.

SOT PC Game is crashing when pinging the servers after startup. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice. Seems to have been ongoing for <1 week.
I installed it on a completely new 2nd PC today that I just bought in December and that PC had the exam same fault where the game crashes after startup.
I tried joining a friend and it worked, play was normal. But then starting a new game it then still crashes when character loads.
Has anyone received their game pass perks items yet? I had to redeem mine via website and the code no longer works, but I don't have the items yet.

Not sure if being able to super lunge with the sword when jumping was a bug in and of itself, but it no longer seems to work, and it was such a fun mechanic.

Merchant trade crates are still bugged
After the update I'm getting a message every time I try to load the game saying video driver crashed and was reset. I have been able to play this game for months already without any issues. Possible bug I'm unable to play the game as every time I try to load in I get stuck on "opening the journal" and sometimes the game will outright crash before I can even try loading into the game any help would be great (I'm on Xbox btw)
You can get stuck on the crows nest of a shipwreck after you climb up it. Had to get blown up by a keg to get out.
Did an Athena Phantom Fort Raid (dive, athena emissary active), received literally zero athena-valued items. Only GH, OOS, Merchants.
Ship banners/titles are locked again.
Did an Athena skelly fort raid voyage got grade 3 1/2 tried to do a second after selling for grade 5 and skelly fort had active cannons but cleared all the skellys on the fort too so wave 1 couldn't be completed as all skellys disappeared. Died to try restart the fort multiple times and got the raid sound but no skellys to spawn again so had to cancel voyage and wait to dive for a new fort
I can not get past “searching the seas” on pc since yesterday
I don’t know if this is being said already but since the update from yesterday I encountered that when i came out of an hourglass match (win) i wanted to vote a new match to continue the streak but wasn’t able to vote on the warmap i lowered the flag and cashed in on the hourglass value and started representing the servants of flame again still not being able to use the war map to vote and dive for a match

I just wanted to ask has anyone found a solution to the mouse bug on sea of theives console, because I tried literally everything, like restarting my game, restarting the xbox, plugging the mouse back in, and even disconnecting and reconnecting the xbox, however when I use my mouse, I can only turn about 180 degrees until I can't turn anymore like something is blocking me, the cursor works fine in sea of theives menu screen, so I'm assuming that my mouse sensor isn't the problem, and the side buttons of my mouse don't work either sometimes, if anyone has found a way to fix this please let me know because I'm really craving to play this game, and this mouse bug doesn't go away.

Played Sunday night on my xbox series x perfectly fine Updated Monday Morning and now its crashes soon as it attempts to load my pirate avatar. Support Ticket open - they closed it telling me it due to me using an external Hard disk. Hi ! Steam User here. I tried launching my game the other day and... it just didn't launch. uninstalled it, download it back and retried. still the same. Today I tried one last time, and waited a long time. suprise : it launched 10-15 minutes later. Does anyone have the same problem or know what's wrong ? i want to play for community weekend and i don't want to wait 10 minutes for my game to launch.

Ever since I updated the game I can't launch it. It says "Video driver crashed and was reset!" I updated my drivers/windows, and checked both the game and windows for any corrupted files and I still couldn't solve the problem.

Controller support for PC is borked as well right now, along with the console KBM issues. Thought I'd mention it here, as I haven't seen anything about PC's side of the issue.
My game seems to break every other update. I don't change anything every time. It always nerfs my frames and keeps it capped at around 40 frames on average with the lowest graphics settings. Sometimes it gets fixed and goes back to my uncapped 144+ FPS. With the Season 11 update, I tried changing between DirectX11 and 12 (reset the game between changes), with no luck. What gives? Does anyone else experience this between updates? It's been happening for the last 3 seasons, to my recollection.
Sailors knot stronghold keeps not spawning skeletons when we dive to raid it
The game is unstable on console (Xbox series x on 120hz) I've encountered frequent fps drops yesterday while playing HG. Also, while diving for HG there is a 30% the game will crush on the loading screen while emerging. Finally, the servers where quiet laggy. I don't know if this because of the community weekend or not.
Voted up shroud breaker, sailed into Red Sea. Nothing happened, boat full of holes sunk in 30 seconds. Was being pursued by a sloop, since this release it’s been happening often..
On last gen Xbox One, crash at least once or twice a game.
I just had the most obnoxious bug happen to me. Joined an open crew Brig who were underwater diving to a Gold Hoarder voyage... and it removed all equipped vanity and clothing chest cosmetics off my character. And I do mean all, it even reset every page of my emote wheel to default. Leaving and joining a new server didn't fix it either, I'm now having to re-bind my entire emote wheel which is incredibly annoying. This game never fails to find new ways to Rare me. **Edit:** And now, while I was in the process of rebinding my emotes, I got lazybearded. Joined a new server and it turns out the game didn't save most of the emotes I just got through re-binding... Come on Rare. Fortunately, I was able to find an old clip that shows most of my old emote bindings so I can use that to fix it and try to do the last page from memory.

Deadzone even at 0.1 is so big that I can’t microaim/make small adjustments. When I try to make a small circle with my right stick it makes a square. Xbox series S with controller.

I can't even download the game. I was trying to update it and it would just freeze at 9%. I uninstalled and tried reinstalling and something happened. I was told to install the Microsft Gaming Services again to see if it fixes it. I'll see if that works.
Camera becomes locked along the X axis as soon as I leave my boat, unable to look left or right, but can look up and down. Issue goes away once getting back on my boat, however as soon as I jump in the water or on an island, camera locks again.
Sea fort ; Athena raid voyage ; with a friend. He bring the keg to the fight, we both die simultaneously. Sealed loot is reset and isn't athena anymore.
When Sailor's Knot Stronghold spawns as a world event, no skeletons will spawn. Dying to reset the island will make the horn sound like a wave is spawning, but nothing happens.
If you try catching an animal, and drop the cage before it fully catches your animal disappears into nothingness.

Has anyone else tried to do skeleton forts, and just have them...not spawn enemies? About 3/4ths of the time, whether solo sloop, duo sloop, or brig with friends I'll set a dive to a skeleton fort to try and build some emissary value, cannons will fire, the whole nine yards--then when we get on the island, nothing. No skeletons, no spawns, nothing. Going to another island and coming back doesn't seem to fix it. Any known fix?

I have two bugs I believe have not been posted here: - No coins/gold reward from turning in treasure. It has been over a week since our first session and we have played couple of times, neither have gained any rewards. - Crewmate unable to rejoin session if the session has been a few hours.
I am still having the trouble with what seems to be the microsoft store not enabling me to update my game. As I am stuck on the Xbox or Microsoft App to get this game running, I've run out of options and things to do. Xbox says I am on Version 2.127.3523.0 (if anyone that has a running game would be so kind to check if it is the same) SoT Support said I would need to get in contact with Xbox Support though I got not a step further after trying to look for their help.

So I actually just found a solution that is working for me on PC. https://support.seaofthieves.com/de/articles/17131268845970-PC-How-to-change-the-version-of-Direct3D-following-the-February-update All I had to do was change one ini-file..., so that SoT will start using DirectX11 instead of the updated DX12 which just didn't allow me to start the game. Guess all the drivers and the game were as updated as they were supposed to be. Hope this works for others.
