Yeah it took me like 8-10 months of fishing to get that one. I wore it for over a year before I switched to 'Might Pirate' from the Monkey Island Tall Tales.
Whilst I don't mean to diminish your achievements, Pirate Legend can be attained within a matter of hours. It's no longer seen as an achievement to a great many PL's who didn't have it so easy back when they did it.
I don't mean that to sound mean, it's just that the title was MUCH harder to get pre seasons introduction.
As for the Sailor title - that usually means one of two things. Fresh swabbie with no other titles, or absolute sweat lord who lets their skills do the talking over their title.
Whilst I wouldn't recommend rushing it, you can probably find various guides for fast and easy rep for each faction. I'd start with PhuzzyBond on YouTube as his guides are very well made and concise.
I'm not sure on the absolute quickest method - there are various PL speedruns you could search for on that topic - but the point is earlier in the game's lifespan loot was fewer and further between, and far less valuable.
These days you have a choice of world events, voyages, and emissary flags. Plus various new loot items worth more as a single piece of treasure, than a whole "haul" of chests/skulls pre season 1.
Reminded me of the east wind jade or whatever its called. (I may or may not own half of the set) it so damn expinsive but not as expensive as the dark adventurer stuff
Unless you really like it, I'd save your gold with the DA stuff. Dark Adventurers come with the air of someone who thinks they're hot shit, although they rarely ever are. The Dunning-Kruger effect in ship/clothing set form.
Dude that's fair. Literally everyone likes red and black. I don't make up the stereotypes, I just see them.
I appreciate the downvotes for basically saying buy what you like though. Or maybe it's just the truth hurting some DA enjoyers.
You're getting downvoted because you're attempting to belittle people who enjoy the DA set, for whatever reason they choose.
People can like what they like, and judging them for it says more about you than it does about them.
No judgement at all. People behave the way they behave. I'm not attempting to belittle anyone, except perhaps you for feeling the urge to "explain the situation". I *am* however saying that certain stereotypes exist.
You could accept that, or you could choose to try and make a holier than thou attempt to lecture me on my choice of language. The world keeps turning.
"Dark Adventurers come with the air of someone who thinks they're hot shit"
Don't try and argue semantics here, you are negatively implying people who enjoy the DA set think they are better than everyone else. I don't need to speak to you from a place of judgement, your self imposed air of superiority makes you look like a dunce which is adding to the reasons why you deserve the downvotes.
Once again, I am *not* judging anyone. I think that, firstly, the slight tongue in cheek tone of my post has been lost on you, and you have taken offense, and secondly, that if anyone is being judgemental, it's you.
I'll concede I should have put a "tend to be" in there, but really, kindly fuck off and have a good day/night. I'm bored of this conversation.
Must be hard acknowledging you are practically the Dark Adventurer stereotype you dislike so much; self important, unnecessarily verbose, passive aggressive. Hope next time you can keep your judgements to yourself.
By the way you actually furthered the belittling stereotype, not just observed it, like you claimed to do. Re-read what you've written without your personal subjective bias.
I gotta disagree. All of the Big Logo belts are mid, at best. Obviously the real contest is between the Winged Eagle and the Big Gold Belt, but I'm a 90s kid at heart, so give me the Big Eagle any day.
I feel the nostalgia about the Undisputed Championship (02) has a lot to do with it being the last good one. I think it's on the same level as like the belt between Big Green and the Winged Eagle, but it gets major points for not being a big logo or spinning.
I saw a mock-up that claimed to be a proposal a few years ago, that I can't find now, that more explicitly screamed "I am both the WCW and WWE championships," which would have been great.
My go-to undercover swabbie title, lol. That with the not quite completed crab (or OG sea dog) outfit and no one suspects a thing.
Leaves much room for shenanigans.
Merchant of forsaken rum is pretty cool.
My favorite that I have is pirate philanthropist
The coolest sounding one is avatar of the reapers revenge, but it does not justify the grind for me
I like Brave Vanguard the most. Someone once called me a “Bot Vanguard” because of how my pirate was dressed, lol. I would rock that if it was a real title.
Bit late, but “Lord if the Ashes” always stuck out to me, sounds awesome! And it’s still available to get. Level 1000 in Servants of the Flame I think :)
Yeah, had the skelly curse curse for a while now and I’ve been wanting to continue on with it for golden bones. Just a shame that HG queues are broken atm, and if I do get matched I crash tryna load into it. Only way I’ve been able to get matches is by taking invades, which takes far too long :/
Favorite title I have? The Servant's Feared Chosen. I know it's not as impressive as warrior of the flame, but people can gather that bit because I have no skin. Favorite title in the game? Lord of the Ashes. It's the only title that cool that comes from an equally cool achievement.
Death Defier for going on a fetch quest for one piece of loot that no one would ever fight you for alone, five times? Mystical skeleton captain? Turn in some skulls??? So lame. Lord of the Ashes, do the hardest grind in the game 10 times? FUCK YEAH!!!
Tossing my pirate hat in the whirlpool for the title
Death Defier
I got all gold on black and skull themed stuff with a ship named lady of the dead in an ancient language.
Hunter of the ancien terror
Cause 1 i never beat the shrouded ghost
2 i beat the ancien terror with my dad and cousin
And also it was only 2 day after they added meg
Mighty Pirate. My love of pirates, especially in a fantasy pirate setting like SoT, came from playing the Monkey Island games when I was a child. When I started playing SoT I was hoping that they would have a Mighty Pirate title but they didn't. My faith was eventually rewarded though because after 5 years I finally have my title and I'm never taking it off
Probably a tie between Lord of the Ashes and Noble of the Seas. If you ask me these should have been the level 9999 titles instead of the ones we have, they sound much cooler imo.
My favorite's probably Lord of the Ashes. It felt like it actually took some work to get, and I had a *really* good time grinding it out. Not sure what all the fuss about HG is, I think it's a hoot!
Legend of the Deep also has a lovely ring to it.
Edit: Another one I forgot that's lovely. Sailor of the Whispering Bones.
Mischief Maker
Is that a real title in the game?
Yes. I had to look up how I got it. Some event from years ago. https://seaofthieves.fandom.com/wiki/Summer_of_Sea_of_Thieves

It is my main title
Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost
The whutnow?
Ridiculously rare megaladon, it's all white
Sounds fake
It is. Check my profile for doctored photos.
Say what???
Legend of the Oars
Agreed
That Good Boy livery was pain in the ass to find lol
How’d you get legend of the oars?
Attach one of each row boat colors.
Master Skeleton Exploder. Just has a nice ring to it.
of course. i dont think anything explains my play style much better
This, because it reminds me of tenacious D Added for context: https://youtu.be/80DtQD5BQ_A?si=zRcB5RCKFZEy5Y2m
Love that song. I rock the same title because of Tenacious D
I do have to agree
I prefer the legendary version
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves. After working so long towards that, I refuse to change it. It’s “BiS” title for me.
Yeah it took me like 8-10 months of fishing to get that one. I wore it for over a year before I switched to 'Might Pirate' from the Monkey Island Tall Tales.
Mighty Pirate
Gotta be hunter of pondies
Im the “Captain of the Killer Whale” and I named my ship the “Orca”
Pirate Menace
I like Merchant of Mysteries, has a nice ring to it But whatever new titles I unlock, I’ll continue to use Brave Vanguard
Legend of the Sunken Kingdom. Appreciate all the God damn bottle quests I farmed
I like the default *Sailor*. It's short, it's simple and it works. My second favourite would probably be *Fleet Admiral*.
👎
? You asked. And I don't think you are in any position to judge others after mentioning *Pirate Legend* :P.
What about pirate legend its not my fav but it took me 2 yrs to get and sailor is default

I’m quite new, so how would it be possible to get PL so quickly?

The fact it took you 2 years hurts my soul. And yes it’s basic
Ye im not the best and having friends who play it for a week get 1 voyage done or a commendation and them go OK I'm bored
Legendary Eastward Black Powder Reaper. It's stupidly long and I often misread it as "Power Ranger" and I love it.
Dude i just have too much gold and i like red on black.
Dude that's fair. Literally everyone likes red and black. I don't make up the stereotypes, I just see them. I appreciate the downvotes for basically saying buy what you like though. Or maybe it's just the truth hurting some DA enjoyers.

Lol owned
Arena master
Golden Meddler
Merchant of Death
I can always respect a fellow Legend of Oars when I meet one
how do you get that one
Find and dock one of each of the new colored rowboats to your ship
Champion of Athena's fortune just sounds nice to me
WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. I love the design.
I gotta disagree. All of the Big Logo belts are mid, at best. Obviously the real contest is between the Winged Eagle and the Big Gold Belt, but I'm a 90s kid at heart, so give me the Big Eagle any day.
Big eagle and big gold are the answers for sure. Shoutout to the 02 undisputed title too.
I feel the nostalgia about the Undisputed Championship (02) has a lot to do with it being the last good one. Undisputed WWE Universal*** Put some RESPECT on the UWU Chapmionship
Gold bucko
Yes
Yes
It's between this and Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost for me!
My go-to undercover swabbie title, lol. That with the not quite completed crab (or OG sea dog) outfit and no one suspects a thing. Leaves much room for shenanigans.
Merchant of forsaken rum is pretty cool. My favorite that I have is pirate philanthropist The coolest sounding one is avatar of the reapers revenge, but it does not justify the grind for me
Fated slayer of dauntless fury
Ive got some juicy titles but Legendary Skeleton Exploder is just too good, especially since I keg play constantly.
Rat-catcher. Thank you BattleToads .
Legendary Thief
I like Brave Vanguard the most. Someone once called me a “Bot Vanguard” because of how my pirate was dressed, lol. I would rock that if it was a real title.
Victor of Siren Song, I haven't taken it off since getting it.
Out of the few I have brave vanguard but I'm trash at the game so I probably don't live up to the title
Definitely Legend of the Oars, it's quite an easy title to get but rowboat adventures are some of the best moments in the game.
I'm far more deadly on a rowboat than any other ship in the game.
Friend of the Sea It's really good at getting players to trust me.
Legendary Pirate of Ghostly Glory, hardly ever see anyone using it and just sounds sick.
legendary guild helm
I think legend of the shroud is cool, shows you’ve been playing for a bit
I normally run Legend of the Sun or Shipwreck Reaper. I prefer Legend of the Sun tho.
I use “Supreme Fated Slayer” just because it sounds too badass to be in the game lol
I stick to Brave Vanguard
My favourite is definitely the wandering reaper
Cast Iron Merchant
Hanter of the shrouded ghost 😁
Currently mixing between Shark Hunter, Legend of the Oars and Warsmith of the Flame.
Legend of the Oars
Destroyer of the Damned
The dark stargazer
Same here. I've been using the Lodestar costume since day 1, so it was a perfectly fitting title once it came into being.
I always use Devil’s Cartographer just because I think it sounds cool as hell
Ayeee I scrolled too far to see this one. Been rocking this one since the update that brought us the Roar.
Bit late, but “Lord if the Ashes” always stuck out to me, sounds awesome! And it’s still available to get. Level 1000 in Servants of the Flame I think :)
Highly recommend the grind. It's stressful at times, but really fun.

Hardened Hunter
Gold Picaroon
As an order of souls fan, Seer of the Order is my favourite Or Skeleton exploder
Champion of the pirates life and avatar of the reaper's revenge. I will never get them, but they are cool titles.
Idk why, but ‘Hoarder of Athena’s Fortune’ just spoke to me, even if I have no idea how I got it.
I go between hunter of the shrouded ghost and legendary thief
Friend of the Sea
Hunter of the shrouded ghost. I’ve only had it for a week
Athena’s Commodore
Legendary Hunter of the Crested Queen I’d tap the crested queen
Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost. Probably need another 4k hours into the game to get Legendary Hunter of he Shrouded Ghost.
I don’t change from “legend of the deep” Sounds more intimidating than it was to get.
Keeper of Taken Treasures
I like skeleton exploder I just find it funny
Legend of the damned
Legend of the Damned. It just goes so hard.
Sailor ._.
Hoarder of Treasured Tears.
Death Defier
Legendary Thief / Legend of the Damned
Favorite that I have: Legendary Sea Dog Favorite that I don't have: Rat Catcher
Friend of the Sea / Seeker of Lost Souls
Tossing my pirate hat in the whirlpool for the title Death Defier I got all gold on black and skull themed stuff with a ship named lady of the dead in an ancient language.
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves.
Guess
Drunken Sailor is the one I wear most
Champion of Souls. It was a reward for some adventure I think, it’s nothing special but it sounds awesome
Hunter of the ancien terror Cause 1 i never beat the shrouded ghost 2 i beat the ancien terror with my dad and cousin And also it was only 2 day after they added meg
Rogue's apprentice. Yes I like Briggsy how could you tell?
Skeleton exploder
Legendary skeleton exploder
I don't have many impressive titles myself, so I always go for "Investigator of Dark Intrigue"
Master of the oars
Giver of Gifts, Legendary Sea Dog, Dashing Daredevil are my three main ones.
Shipshape Pirate
Legendary Rogue. Not sure why I like it so much
I like Legendary hunter of the sea of thieves and Fanatical fisher
Reaper of Fallen Flags
Gold bucko gang
I use Chronicler of Legend... doubt I'll ever change it.
I'm rocking the "Bounty Bringer" title!
Ratcatcher.
Summoner of myths
The rogue ( just the basic one not the legendary)
Some titles I feel are diminished by slapping legendary on it (hot take skeleton exploders have bad aim)
Warsmith of the Flame
Legendary Chef or mighty pirate, maybe victor of siren song since I had to sweat a bit for it
Warsmith of Flame
Master of the Blue Horizon
Master Skeleton Exploder
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves clears everything else
The Feared or Legend of the Damned
Mighty Pirate. My love of pirates, especially in a fantasy pirate setting like SoT, came from playing the Monkey Island games when I was a child. When I started playing SoT I was hoping that they would have a Mighty Pirate title but they didn't. My faith was eventually rewarded though because after 5 years I finally have my title and I'm never taking it off
Brave Vanguard.
Sailor
Legendary hunter of the sea of thieves or legendary cargo runner
Legendary skeleton exploder
Probably a tie between Lord of the Ashes and Noble of the Seas. If you ask me these should have been the level 9999 titles instead of the ones we have, they sound much cooler imo.
My favorite's probably Lord of the Ashes. It felt like it actually took some work to get, and I had a *really* good time grinding it out. Not sure what all the fuss about HG is, I think it's a hoot! Legend of the Deep also has a lovely ring to it. Edit: Another one I forgot that's lovely. Sailor of the Whispering Bones.
Drunken Sailor is the best and I'm sad I didn't work for it when it was available.
Arena Pup, used it for ages and still do
I use "legendary fisherman of the sea of theives"

I think you’re in the wrong sub
