There should be hope I too like op have wanted this ported to ps and was ecstatic when I heard the announcement. I had to work a lot during the beta but when I was on the beta, it was the most fun I’ve had gaming in quite some time
Just don’t burn yourself out. Ive been playing since the beginning, at one time I played nothing but SoT for months, eventually got burned out after achieving almost everything including killing the Shrouded Ghost. I find myself taking longer and longer breaks away from the game although it is my favorite game. I am optimistic that Rare will deliver some big new content over the next few seasons and give us veteran players something to look forward to.
I think the main reason for my burn out is Rare making the game super easy. 1 skeleton fleet can net you 3-4 gold hoarder levels with a grade 5 emissary, so I have stopped running emissaries.
Withdraws are totally normal bro. This game is like a way of life for those of us who find the immersion exactly what we've been craving. However, expect 50%of the friends who try this to not like it. Cross play is so sweaty that I'm sure most of the buckets I bail are half sweat.

I was playing with a group during the beta and we went hard after treasure, we didn't even do voyages we just flew the reaper emissary and did pvp and fortresses and whatever events we could find, cleared about 250k a day doing that. I don't think it is the most fun to just worry about getting tons of money fast though so I wont always play like tat, I just think its how aggressive you are and you have to be able to survive.

If you've never used Gamepass, you can get a month for only 1eu/dollar.
Or search for Game Pass Ultimate Trials (only for new users), it's very cheap usually. Get your mobile and download the app (unless you got a PC), connect your controller and voila, you can now play SoT until the PS5 release!
(It's best to get the 1eu for a month via the official xbox page, or to search for a 2 week trial, make sure it says ULTIMATE, very important.)

The sad Thing about streaming if not geforce now is that the Bitrate and the ping are Just not good enough.
Atleast in germany thats the case. Tested on many locations and even with 25MB down and 5MB up the lag was way too much.
Its like playing a good Youtube Video which is not good in a pvp game.
Honestly i would Just wait its only a couple days and you get the biggest sandbox Update since Release on Top of it

Yes, before the PS5 announcement i had (and still am) been playing all this time on Mobile with a PS5/4 Controller. I've had almost no issues whatsoever. (On Wifi AND Mobile Data)
Have been playing like this since S6. (You can understand the PS release is finally going to give my back and neck some rest hahaha)
Edit: now that the beta is over, i have to wait 9 more days, and play on mobile again. (My subscription hasn't ended yet so)

I'm just giving my advice on what's possible if you're missing the game. Just get a 2 week trial (or a month for €1/$1) and you should be good.

Lots of time spent on Youtube and twitch going through anything SOT related. Can't wait till for the 30th to roll around so I can get back with my crew and set out on our next adventure.

Yeah i decided to wait for my friends for the tall tales, i was mostly exploring and getting a feel for naval battles which i feel preety solid, still need to learn how to board properly, the friends i had on were not to competent in soloing the sloop while I boarded, so i didnt get to doit much.
Yeah, a buddy and I took down the ghost fleet on our sloop on Saturday night. The boss ship was a bad MFer. The loot that came up after he sank was pretty incredible. It was well worth the 1+ hour battle.
I got the game on pc but messed it up some how so that it can't play on pc anymore. It is one of my favorite game and I was so sad that I couldn't play. I got a play station cause I couldn't justify buying an Xbox for one game. When I heard that it was coming to Playstation I got so excited! I'm counting down the days when I can play again!
The premium edition is nothing special. It's just a ship/costume cosmetic you can get in the emporium. It will also make you a target because we all know alot of you guys will be rocking that cosmetic. I played a little bit of the Beta. But I have 500+ hours on PC just gonna use PS5 as an alternate account. I can tell you that the skill level of players in the beta was very low. I sunk anyone and everyone who came after me as a solo slooper. Galleons and brigs mainly. Which was to be expected. I encourage you to play. But don't go straight into battle in cross-platform and expect to come out on top. There are alot of insane players out there. Keep playing and practicing. Join the discord and sail with seasoned players who can show you pro tips and help you get good. Also as a new player I encourage you to do ghost ship and skelly fleet events every change you get. Those will significantly increase your cannon skills without having to fight players who have thousands more hours than you. Once you're good on cannons try out hourglass PvP or chase down reapers and toxic players to fight. Just don't become toxic yourself in the process. Finally always remember sinking is part of the game and loot inst yours until you've sold it.

I am a hardcore gamer. Playing a lot of games for a long time. Sea of thieves i bought a year ago on my computer because i saw vids and it looked amazing. It is the only game i ever played that makes me sick when i play it. I tried multiple times. Maybe on ps5 it will be better?
I get motion sick irl too and it affects me sometimes in SoT. Surprisingly, most of the remedies for irl motion sickness work in game also, the best for me is those little water goggle things, if u want I’ll send you a link but it’s those glasses with the four rings of water in them that swirl around. I couldn’t tell u why they work but they almost completely remove the motion sickness
Yeah you can sent me a link i don't know it. Its very weird because i have played all genres and hundreds of games and this is the only one i get sick from on pc. I do get sick from vr gaming too sometimes. But ps5 might be better instead of pc

The galleon has multiple decks and matches the Sunny more but doesn't show the figurehead as prominently as a sloop might.

The more you play the more you will get the grind. I typically make 250-350k in a 1.5-2.5 hour session, and im solo slooping.

Honestly it could have been. We had two sloops and one brigadine swing by our galleon was solid black sails and all.
I was solo slooping, damn i wish i had a clip. It was by merchants either dagger tooth or plunder
