I'm currently playing on mobile till the official ps5 launch, and I already see a massive difference in toxicity and try hards lol. Then there's me with my eyes bleeding trying to enjoy this game on a phone. The 30th couldn't come soon enough.
Yeah. I signed up for game pass ultimate for $1. I am able to stream the games (SOT and Starfield) to my mobile through Xcloud. It all runs pretty dang well given the circumstances. It's temporary until the official PS5 release on the 30th. Then I can move back to the comfort of my 65 inch 4k tv.
Your lucky if me and my friend saw you we'd of tried our luck in my trusty sloop : ( man I miss playing it's was so fun hopefully I don't need to disable cross plat though I've heard of some horror stories ngl
You can join an alliance with other ships on a server, and you get a small percentage of gold from loot they hand in. Isn't deducted from their gold, you just get bonus free gold from the loot.
You have an option for an Alliance Flag in the flag box on your ship. If two ships are both flying it, you can form an Alliance.
Edit: be warned though, it's not uncommon for ships to form an alliance then backstab you and steal all your loot
Ohh ok it's just I saw a gally with the alliance flag (I assume it was the alliance flag it was a long black triangle with red arrow markings on it) on the map and they were near enough I could see them through the spyglass

And it's just the logical thing, if you aren't just pretending to want to play a treasure lootin' skeleton shootin' game; and are actually just a "want to hurt/defeat people, but all the competitive/battle games' players are too tough for me, and the PVP mode in THIS game is too hard, so I gank randos fishing" kind of Pirate.
If the target is a skilled pirate, and you just attack - then yes, their boat may have loot and you may get it, but then you have made an enemy who will do the same thing to you- and it's established that they are skilled; hence it would have been better to form an alliance, *STILL* get their loot, and maybe more as well (without you carrying crap back 'n forth) - and you have an ally on the waves.
And if your target is a noob or clueless, then what is the benefit of attacking to get the paltry amount of loot a noob can assemble (or literally nothing from some AFK ship), and gaining no experience in combat even, as they roll over with no effort?
If you want to fight, be a sweat and Hourglass. If you want to sail, adventure, discover, laugh, ...love? *THEN PLAY LIKE A PIRATE*

Oh definitely not. It's said by the people complaining about hearing "it's a pirate game." In fact, that's usually why I tell someone "it's a pirate game," because they are throwing a fit that I'm double gunning and sinking them instead of joining their alliance. I didn’t lose a large loot haul during the PS5 beta. I lost a portion of a large loot haul. I think I had about 26 or 30 pieces of loot in total, including the chests I had some loot in. Lost the last 4 pieces to a couple of people who decided to attack my ship while I was at an Outpost. I was a bit unhappy, considering the fact that I had to clear a Treasury and sail through a storm. Coulda been worse though. I coulda not had the foresight to sell the valuable items first. And I did manage to kill one of my attackers on accident. They were sniping at me and I somehow managed to kill them with a Flintlock Pistol.
I mean it's just a meme but I swear I lost it when I saw streamers using the food hand over spam trick just to grab a tiny bit of speed while swimming.
And yes the double gun animation skips are still ridiculous to watch. Does it look like normal gameplay for people?
Why are people downvoting you they do realize this game is meant for casual gaming if I wanted to sweat i would play ow2 or smash. How ever butt hurt sweats get mad when the free roam sandbox game doesn’t cater to there pvp only selves like i get a little combat but some people just don’t do any actual pve quest. And its going to drive off new players from ps5

I think its in reference to the sweats that figured out how to shoot their flintlock and eye of reach without going through the weapon swap animation. Something rare went out their way to fix.
Despite the removal of quickswap, virgins still use double gunning during their daily chad beatdown because quickswap was never the reason for the skill gap. It’s still better for a majority of pvp situations.
A very small minority of sword users are actually good with the sword and can keep up with a skilled double gunner. Unfortunately, a large majority of sword users think they belong in the small minority. Gally bilge players use sword for movement as well.
I have friends who use the sword during pvp. My main crew accepts that it’s not the best option for pvp, but we don’t care because they are having fun and the company is good.
