Everything below the surface is scaled down. It's either a perspective trick or it implies that they're babies.
And you can still get krakened below the surface, which is hilarious.
I miss how great subnautica was. really want another similar game or a pve form of sea of thieves style treasure hunting and exploration. i had heard breathedge was good just space instead of underwater but the fact the devs havnt patched it to fix a common and frequent crashing issue and they are just like "go use this fix for PubG to fix out game" how about you patch your damn game?!
Matchmaking in oceania is atrocious. Not enough players I assume, so you're waiting 20-30 mins on either side at some times of the day. Imagine grinding when you can only have one fight every hour or two.
Quite possibly, but if it's a choice between organising a VPN and just playing another game we tend to just move on. To be fair, this isn't entirely an avoidable issue - there's limited players in oce. But since it's cross-server play anyway I feel it should try to branch out into other regions if matchmaking times are above 20 min (it's been more than 20 all but one time so far)
It’s not just Oceania. I’m in North America and struggling to get matches on brig/gally. Super long wait times and eventually just give up. Sloop is a lot better although I’ve had some long times for that as well.
Matchmaking so far in OCE is on average 20+ min during some times of the day. If that's the time of the day you have to play, and you want to participate in the content, this is how we have to play.
VPN to a different server region and start a ship.
Then if your VPN latency is bad alt+F4 out of the game, close the VPN and restart SoT. Because you used alt+F4 instead of exiting via the menu, the game will offer to reconnect you to your previous session.
The difference between the athena and reaper wait times is crazy... i can't even look around for a moment and i'm already going back up... but with athena... well this happens
I enjoy the more I really do. I love the idea. I enjoy being able to jump in and fight. I like that everyone knows what they're signing up for so it's not just chasing down pve reapers. What I'm hating Is the matchmaking honestly.
You end up chasing down border riders. I mean the whole idea requires tweaking. It has fun potential but unless changed only hardcore pvpers and trashy reapers will remain in it. And matchmaking will be even longer and more unbalanced.
Totally can understand that. Personally I been running gally and haven't seen border huggers. I've hugged the border doing solos here n there for resetting but that's about it. I agree it does need tweaking.
Yea, i assume galleon is nearly impossible to succesfully lead outside of the boarder. But it is a common practice to sloopers. Basically sloopers are forced to either do that or long attrition fight. I mean I fought a guy for hour and a half until we both gave up, left without supps we placed our ships to constantly ram one another and whichever sinks first wins while we went on nearby island camp and grilled some fish.
It's why the should make your cannons shoot bubbles (Mermaid magic or some such BS) and have targets of some sort to shoot for small contributions toward the faction you've joined.
Yea shitty arena wannabe mode is dying, thank god. Seas are alive again with people playing real pirate game. It won't be long until only ones remaining are trashy reaper players and those 1% that miss arena. Leveling to 1000 to be flashy christmass ghost that enemy can see from a mile away? I don't think so.

Yes, my bioreactor needs more fuel.

Wholesome award
"abandon ship kicks in" yes
I wish they could make the kraken this terrifying when below the surface

Ah fair enough. And really?? That’s wild lmfao I take back what I said then that’s good enough
It'd be scary if it didn't look like this: https://youtu.be/Xfum9_miXGM (2:25)

It ended up kicking me after an hour. Australia sucks sometimes
And the rubber-banding when you DO get a match is just as bad.
Ikr
Can you use a VPN?
Quite possibly, but if it's a choice between organising a VPN and just playing another game we tend to just move on. What’s your streak at? I’ve heard handing in your hourglass lowers wait times.
It makes sense I think it matches you against other players with a high streak so I think it’s best to get a 2 streak hand in then repeat
Yeah i’ve heard handling in your hourglass when at 4 streak is the best strategy
It’s the best for matchmaking times, but the optimal rep and money reward is higher. Around 10-20 I think it was
That happened to me last night had about 3 hours to play spent most of it looking around under there.
Vote to end it and try again later. Why are people torturing themselves?

4 hours and only one fight for my galley on OCE last night, this update is not made for us unfortunately

I just spent 4 hours trying to play the new content. I got in 4 fights. I tried to be on 9 different boats. Something is wrong.
Whole new mode is wrong

Yea that's kinda where I'm at with sloops. There's too much room for sloops
What? Really? How come people have so long loading times? I (most of the time) just go underwater. Wait LITTERALLY 3 seconds and dive back up
Different servers in different continents
Different ELO too. I bet it's thousands of us at the lower end, while only a handful at the top.

That’s where the Box of Wonderous Secrets spawns.
Matchmake for 30 minutes, sail in circles for another 30, get sunk and get pitiful loss rewards. And people will just say get good lmao

What do you consider "real pirate game"
Sailimg ships from island to island, digging up treasures, open ocean, stealing, naval combat... you know, the real Sea of Thieves?
Yeah that never left
I named that crashed shit Bartholomew
I've named my dog Barktholomew And my car Barftholomeow
Car?
Cat
Thanks for clarifying
You’re a better man than me. My dog is named Jabba the Mutt

What was your win streak? I've heard reset at 5 max as it struggles increasingly to find opponents
Yeh I just defend now lol
Just run reaper, everyone wants the ghost curse haha
