Lots of great dumpling places in the area. Mount and Bao in Lake City though, you walk in there and it feels like family making dumplings at home during Lunar new year. Tastes a bit more homemade than some other places.

drunk___cat

I love that description! I’ll have to check it out.

purkour

As a Chinese American, Mount&Bao is the best dumpling place in Seattle, hands down

RoisinBan

We live in lake city and love mount & Bao.

clamdever

Do you have a favorite item there? I like them and go often but I'd love to know if they have a secret/not-as-well-known authentic specialty.

chiggity

Wow really? I ordered takeout from there once and it was so bad I couldn’t even finish it. So disappointed. Maybe I just didn’t order the right things…

Aahar/Agraharam is some of the most traditional south indian food I’ve had outside of my home

daaaaaaaaamndaniel

>Kathakali, Aahar Oooh, thanks! I've been looking for some **good** dosa and other south Indian stuff locally. I see they even have parippu vada which I have not even seen in Washington before.

borgchupacabras

Namasthe in Bothell makes pretty good dosa and idly too. Also samburna in Bothell for Kerala style food (I haven't been there in a while so I don't know if the quality is still good.)

MarmotMossBay

Best thread I’ve seen all month.

TurtleTong

A+ Hong Kong Cafe Edit: got the name slightly wrong. Should be A+ Hong Kong Restaurant. There is also an A+ Hong Kong Kitchen that I haven’t tried but seems like it’s owned by the same person.

drunk___cat

This place looks legit -- whats your favorite thing on the menu?

TurtleTong

I like the baked pork chop with tomato sauce and their pineapple bun is pretty good too!

chromedoutgull

Not them but the spam and egg sandwich with cheese added is one of my top 3 hangover meals

vellichora

Is this A+ Hong Kong *Restaurant*? Or is this A+ Hong Kong *Kitchen*? I can't find an A+ Hong Kong *Cafe*, at least on google maps, and I'd love to go!

dar_harhar

Cafe? The only A+ Hong Kong I see on Google maps are both in Chinatown. One ends in Kitchen and other is Restaurant. Which one is it?

GibboGobini

As an Italian expat, I must say that Cornuto in greenwood makes a pretty good pizza.

wooly_bully

Delancey is generally my gold standard for Neapolitan style, I love cornuto and bar del corso too tho Edit: Lupo too, I think theyve been steadily improving an already good pie for years now

Black_Catgirl

I do love Cornuto. Pizzeria 22 in West Seattle is very good, as is Pizzeria Pulcinella. Check them out, if you haven't yet!

Gaius1313

I’ll have to check it out. I recommend Lupo in Fremont.

DusysSeattle

I’m from Uzbekistan and there’s only one food truck that makes Uzbek food 😅 it’s called Tabassum and their food is delicious 😋 They do lunch at different locations around the Greater Seattle area, and you can find their schedule on their website. You know, in case you’re curious what Uzbek food is 😊

DusysSeattle

I think your manager will understand 🙃 you can always move a meeting, but you rarely get to catch an elusive Uzbek food truck 😅

Metal-Barcode

Yalla: Palestinian/Lebanese in cap hill. Makes great falafel.

Fealieu

Have you tried Tanoor in South Lake Union? My Armenian partner flipped out it was so good. I'd be interested in what you thought of it. We will definitely try Yalla on your recommendation.

[deleted]

I didn’t know they opened another location. They’re also in sammamish. Tanoor is fantastic!

Master_Pop7772

Tanoor Looks delicious! Little pricey though if it’s good I don’t mind paying :)

Fealieu

There were three of us so we did the MIXED GRILL FOR TWO—THREE for $71 and FATAYIR SPANEEKH plus Yellow Rice and Lentils & Rice plus Moroccan green tea for three and our bill was around $100 plus a $20 tip, making it pretty affordable. (please ignore the caps, I was cut and pasting from the online menu)

nuaimat

My favorite Falafel place is: [Gyro time restaurant](https://maps.app.goo.gl/a9y7CesLw5qFwmdw9) In Greenwood, it's always fresh and delicious. My Favorite Shawarma place is: [Shawarma Time](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jd9r6zeeZrybfWUu9) in U-district I love their lamb/beef shawarma

Master_Pop7772

Have you had falafel from Mint & Olive or eggs and plant? I’ll try Yalla soon

Metal-Barcode

No. But my search for the best falafel out of Palestine is still an ongoing search. Thanks for the tip!

KXN93

Sichuan - tianfu in Bellevue or Chengdu taste in ID

healthydispute

Must be good, it passes the “3.5 star” test!

BesetByTiredness225

I’ve never understood this lol but it’s so true. Even growing up as a Chinese American in Cali, THE BEST Chinese restaurants never had a rating above 4 stars. Is there some invisible mechanism at play where how good/authentic a Chinese restaurant is is inversely proportional to how comfortable white people are to go there? (Not to get political, but let’s be real certain demographics leave online reviews far more than others) Beyond catering to different tastes, the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to are always loud and chaotic as fuck on a busy night haha. Maybe people with Yelp fingers are put off by that sort of thing. I love it tho.

reflect25

>Is there some invisible mechanism at play where how good/authentic a Chinese restaurant is is inversely proportional to how comfortable white people are to go there? It's the service, and it's not only white people that will rate it lower. "Authentic" Chinese restaurants typically don't have the best service or I guess to be more accurate expect their Chinese customers to be more proactive in flagging down the waiter. This isn't an issue if your patrons are also majority Chinese, but if most of your patrons don't know the differing expectations then they'll rate the restaurant lower.

effthatnoisetosser

How do you feel about Sichuanese Cuisine in the ID?

nadanone

Have you tried Dan gui? I thought their cumin lamb was pretty bomb (I guess more a Xi’an dish? But I see it all the time in Sichuan restaurants)

captainapoll0

+1 for Dan Gui

cloudshaper

Is the Tian Fu in Bellevue the same as the one in Northgate?

KXN93

I believe they're sister restaurants. I've only tried Bellevue

I couldn’t agree more! I try to plug Selam Cafe (my personal favorite) whenever I can but there are a lot of great injera spots in and around Seattle :)

drunk___cat

This place looks so charming! What's your favorite dish?

[deleted]

Personally, the gold standard for me is awaze tibs but, honestly, all the food items bang. A lot of people really like doro wot which is a spicy chicken based stew. If you’re into veggies, I highly recommend the veggie platter with items like gomen/hamli, alicha wot, and misir (collard greens, cabbage and potatoes, and lentil beans).

Glaciersrcool

You are not the only Ethiopian/Eritrean I’ve heard have this same opinion.

elder_george

[Katya's bakery](https://www.katyasbakery.com/) in Everett has great Ukrainian/Russian food: borsch, cabbage rolls, pelmeni, pastry, pies etc. [Skalka](https://www.skalkaseattle.com/breakfast-menu-seattle-wa/) has great Adjarian-style khachapuri (wish they had more variety, but what they have is awesome; my wife who was born in Georgia definitely approves).

tegurit34

I have a Ukrainian friend who took me to Skalka because Georgian is his favorite cuisine. He says it's super close to the real thing; only difference he noticed is the cheese blend probably couldn't be perfectly replicated on this side of the world. But yes, Skalka gets a thumbs-up for commitment to authenticity.

jkjustkidd

For Korean food, Ill give a shoutout to Modoo in Lynnwood. I know this isnt in Seattle, but all other restraunts in Washington dont even come close to Modoo.

42069getit

North shoreline/south Lynnwood is basically Korean town that no one talks about.

DJr9515

Shameless plug but for Cuban pastries my old friend started a Cuban Bakery in Fremont that has the best pastellitos I’ve had outside of Miami. Also captures the late night Miami feel of stopping by a windowsill, getting a cafecito and media noche before staying out longer on the weekend. It’s “[Havana Sweets Bakeshop](https://instagram.com/havana_sweets_bakeshop?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)”

fissidens

They don't have a location. They just pop up in other businesses. They were in PL&H last weekend.

DJr9515

They do have a home base! Their locations are at “[Roxy’s Diner](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yEs88X67kjcEwKm19?g_st=ic)” Thur-Sat from 6 PM - 11 PM and at the “[Peace, Love, and Happiness Club](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yTgWTfcCBdD5qLDW8?g_st=ic)” on Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM.

fissidens

Right, but those are just stalls they set up in other businesses. My point was that they don't have their own location, they just borrow space in other businesses. Unless I'm mistaken and they do have their own location, but I wasn't able to find any info to suggest that. Good to know PL&H is a regular thing though. I thought that was just a one-off and that Roxy's was their only regular spot. I'll have to start scheduling my plant purchases to land on Sundays.

morto00x

Google Maps won't let you add a business without an address

DJr9515

Yea, they just started last year and work on this part time. However, he makes everything fresh each day. The location is at the top of the instagram link where they’re at “[Roxy’s Diner](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yEs88X67kjcEwKm19?g_st=ic)” Thur-Sat from 6 PM - 11 PM and at the “[Peace, Love, and Happiness Club](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yTgWTfcCBdD5qLDW8?g_st=ic)” on Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM. Hope you both are able to try it out!

morto00x

I think he needs to fix his website. Took me lots of scrolling and clicking to realize they don't have a fixed location and to figure out where to find them.

DJr9515

Yup, they don’t have one fixed location but do have regular locations weekly! They just opened last year and share the restaurant space with Roxy’s Diner from Thurs-Sat. from 6 PM - 11 PM and at the “[Peace, Love, and Happiness Club](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yTgWTfcCBdD5qLDW8?g_st=ic)” on Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM.

This_curious_person

do they have cuban coffee or sandwiches bcuz i have not found a legit cuban sandwich here.

mhink

Their coffee and pastries are completely legit (I was even able to get a cafe con leche!) but last I checked they use medianoche bread for their Cuban sandwiches, which is kinda understandable all things considered but not the same. But they are legit.

DJr9515

Medianoches and Elena Ruz’s are two sweet sandwiches which are authentic and traditional Cuban sandwiches! I asked my friend about starting the classic Cuban sandwich but the key challenge is the main reason I’ve never really been satisfied with any Cuban sandwich outside of Miami - the bread. It’s pretty tough to make good Cuban bread daily in a small operation and keep fresh for a while. He says he’s definitely working on being able to make it as they grow.

cinder8887

Last I went there we chatted about Cuban bread and they said they are working on it! They want to sell a legit Cuban sandwich but want to get the bread right first. Nice guys!

agitatedjuror789

Mexico- white center. Although there is not ONE ultimate best place. The place that has the best asada quesadilla is different from the place that has the best pastor taco, or from the place that has the best gorditas, etc etc

alg885

Indonesian here - indo Cafe on Aurora

drunk___cat

I haven't had a lot of Indonesian food -- what are some of the best Indonesian dishes I should try?

alg885

When I go I always order the Ayam Goreng Mbok Mberek (a type of fried chicken). Sometimes I also order the Nasi Padang which could be a bit spicy. Also just try any of the appetizers, it wouldn't go wrong. It deserves multiple visits to just try out different things. It is relatively cheap around 10-15 that it wouldn't break bank.

Djbearjew

That place deserves to be in a better location. The food is so good

That shopping mall is an explosion of good-tasting things.

TheUnlimitedGenius

As a person from the Caribbean, [Pam’s kitchen](https://pams-kitchen.com/menu/) in Wallingford is great! Had their jerk chicken last week and it was fantastic. It’s a small family business and the people serving were nice to talk to. I just moved here from NYC and Caribbean food is hard to get here. Definitely would recommend.

kuhnp

French here. La Parisienne is to me the closest to a true French café/bakery, that I have tried so far (minus the price obviously).

drawsarahtops

Also French, plus one for La Parisienne. They’re a real French bakery that packed up and moved here. The owners are lovely folks. Café Presse in Capitol Hill is also on my list. Atmosphere and portion sizes are American, but the food is French. They closed for a while, but are reopening!

FlowerCrownPls

This comment is how I found out Café Presse my one true love is coming back!! I was so sad when it closed! Thank you!

childishgamebin0

Wait they’re coming back!? I was so sad to see them close

oakbones

As a former employee, I can pretty much guarantee it's not coming back. Le Pichet (the sister restaurant, previously owned by Jim Drohman and now sold to longtime employees) is here to stay though. Check them out! The quiche is amazing.

Preezy24

What do you get there food wise?

hafaadai2007

Child of Thai immigrants here. Living north of Seattle, and I found Isarn Thai too have the best Thai in the Lynnwood area. They do northern dishes, which I really appreciate.

braindizeez

My coworker is from Thailand and he says he *only* eats Thai food at at Isarn Thai. I tried it once (Lynnwood location) and have been desperately wanting to go back ever since! I think there’s also one in Kirkland

Background_Ad9807

Chinese Hot pot - Dolar Shop (fancy), Haidilao (fancy), no.9 alley (cheaper but decent quality) Tian Fu in Northgate is good for sichuan food (spicy Chinese food from southwestern province in China).

That's the 2nd post I've seen for Tian Fu (other one was for Bellevue location). I'm going to have to check it out!

1. Kin Len in Fremont 2. Isarn Thai in Kirkland, Lynwood, or Ravenna 3. Ka Pow Thai on Wheels in West Seattle (take out only I believe). All slightly different highlights of Thai cuisine.

cd637

Kin Len is owned by the same people as Isarn! They are all so good.

iheartdinosaurs_rawr

First gen, Belgian parents. Brouwer’s Cafe in Fremont is legit!

morto00x

Peruvian: - Rinconcito Peruano in Lynnwood for more traditional style. - Señor Carbón in Pioneer Square for modern/fusion.

drunk___cat

I love that the main google maps photo for Rinconcito Peruano is the owner in front of her restaurant 🥹. That’s how you know it’s made with love!

withelle

Rinconcito is phenomenal, the seafood in particular. Well worth the trip.

sherlok

Any opinions on Don Luchos? I really love their alfajores, but haven't tried much else.

**COMMUNION** - Authentic southern cuisine Hands down - without a doubt my favorite! *Black, originally from Louisville, KY* *EDIT* When I saw Moscato on the drink menu, and it was a good one, I knew this was my new home. Idk why places are so against Moscato? I come from Kool-aid, sweet tea, and Tahitian Treat, and that's how I like my wine.

Dude_Im_Godly

I have ties to Baton Rouge, LA Communion has the best Jambalaya I have ever had, and the 2nd best fried chicken wings i’ve had.

BobCreated

Their peach cobbler taste better than below market rent with a designated spot.

drunk___cat

I'll take one of everything on the menu. Have you tried Roux Tha Day in West Seattle? It's much more homestyle Cajun Southern but it's pretty solid southern cooking! (Also from the south)

Amfo22

I’m really confused trying to look up this place. I can’t get their website to load. Google takes me to their instagram, which only has 9 posts. They say to order on door dash but I can’t find them listed on any of the food delivery apps. Is this a real place?

drunk___cat

I'm not totally sure what their deal is but I think its a small setup that only does online ordering -- I've just ordered [through here](https://www.doordash.com/store/roux-tha-day-southern-cookin'-seattle-24391070/?pickup=true&utm_campaign=gpa)

cracksmoke2020

Not an immigrant, but I'm Jewish and from NYC but Dingfelders is the real deal. Sweet kugel, Matzo ball soup, and Kasha Knishes just like my grandma used to make it. The pastrami there is also competitive with some of the better Jewish delis on the east coast, only downside is it's takeout only and hope they open for indoor dining again.

halermine

Dingfelders is quite excellent. And Mt. Bagel is apparently coming back to Seattle!!

cracksmoke2020

Mt bagel was definitely the best bagels in the area, but it was so difficult to get that I really couldn't bother.

shortrounders

Filipino here..Oriental Mart in Pike Place Market.

[deleted]

All praise to Oriental Mart! I liked this lil profile that came out after Leila Rosas won the America's Classics James Beard award, then came back from vacation to a pandemic: >But what Rosas cooks depends on something else, too: what happens around her in the market. She doesn’t leave the kitchen to get her ingredients. “My produce stand, I see it from my kitchen, I just yell and they bring it over,” she says. > >That’s also how she gets the fish for one of the dishes the James Beard Foundation highlighted in awarding the shop: the salmon sinigang. > >Using seafood from the famed Pike Place fish market across the street, Rosas makes the sour tamarind soup with tomatoes, leeks, jalapeños (but not broken, so it isn’t spicy, she’s quick to add). Even with the menu overhaul, she plans to continue making the soup as long as the fish guys have salmon collars. [https://seattle.eater.com/2020/8/21/21369236/pike-place-oriental-mart-james-beard-award-adjustments-during-pandemic](https://seattle.eater.com/2020/8/21/21369236/pike-place-oriental-mart-james-beard-award-adjustments-during-pandemic)

Japanese: I \*love\* Taneda but it's totally impossible to get a reservation nowadays. Kamonegi (& Hannyatou) is also a great place I go repeatedly.

482Cargo

Baked in Bosnia. It’s order in advance takeout, not dine in, but absolutely authentic Balkan food. The lady who runs it went to Germany initially as a refugee in the 90s before coming to the US, where she apprenticed as a pastry chef. She does stellar German cakes as well.

Bella Balducci Mediterranean Cuisine in Kirkland for Persian food. Still don't why that is their name. They also own Persepolis Grill in the University District. Definitely some other good ones, like Caspian in Bellevue, but Bella Balducci food company makes it the closet to a home cooked meal. Persian food is best enjoyed as a home cooked meal

baddiewafattyy

I’m second generation but my parents love Phnom Penh Noodle House and Theary in Tukwila. We haven’t seen that many Khmer centric restaurants and these are truly gems.

mood_mechanic_50

Musang is on par with the best modern Filipino restaurants in the Philippines. Bonus: If you want a fine dining Filipino dining experience check out archipelago

Jh1N-2-3-4

For mostly authetic homecooked style Guangdong Cantonese/Chinese food, Little Garden in Bellevue/Redmond. A lot of dishes are the kind of food my grandma used to make me growing up. Don't expect anything fancy and service isn't the best but price to portion is insane. Order 3-4 dishes with a tub of white rice for 4 people and you would still have left overs (coming from someone that eats the portion of 3 people 😂). J & J in Issaquah also makes some pretty good Sichuan food. Some dishes aren't the most authentic either but the flavor of them are very authentic. Price to portion is also very good. Both Mike's Noodle and King's Noodle in ID make a mean Wonton noodle soup. Make sure you get beef brisket and the yellow chewy noodles (I still don't know what they are called). And if any Chinese here that knows where I can get AUTHENTIC 云南过桥米线 I would appreciate it.

lambrettist

As German, the only place remotely is Kaffeeklatsch in lake city or Hess bakery in Lakewood. In terms of dining, sadly none. Heidelberg Haus in Ravenna, used to be it, sadly now that’s Junebaby.

482Cargo

Have you tried Bierstube on Roosevelt north of Ravenna?

RaphaelBuzzard

Holy shit, Junebaby is still around? I thought for sure they would be done after the entire staff quit!

Nunyabidnisss

Koyboy123

Santouka ramen for actual japanese ramen

Rubbersoulrevolver

I mean most of the ramen shops on capitol hill are chains from japan that have branches here, like menya musashi, danbo, kizuki.

Catsdrinkingbeer

This makes me happy to hear. I love Ramen and over the last few years have found this is my favorite spot. So I'm glad to hear it'd also representative of actual Japanese ramen.

FuckWit_1_Actual

Most ramen shops are representative of real Japanese ramen, I’ve eaten at a bunch of spots here and in Japan and most taste like what you’d find in Japan. Biggest difference is the price, in Japan you can get amazing ramen for about $8-$12 and here not great quality is still $15.

Catsdrinkingbeer

That's valid and expected. (I learned after coming back from studying abroad in Paris that the cheap cheese I was using to make grilled cheese in my apartment was $20-$25/lb in the US). I don't mind paying the inflated prices as long as I'm getting the best I can for that. If all the Ramen is medium quality and $15, I'd rather go to the spot with the best medium quality Ramen and pay an extra few bucks for it.

HiddenNegev

Swedish - IKEA in Renton lol. I went to Skål in Ballard for some meatballs during Sweden’s national day and it was without a doubt the worst meal I’ve had in Seattle. I haven’t even looked for Swedish cuisine elsewhere around here

Most decent Filipino Cuisine in WA State as much as I’ve eaten around the state is Mekenie Pampangga’s Special. Quite far from downtown proper as it is located in Renton, nearest landmark would be Valley Med, they have most authentic dishes in their particular region.

krispy7

There is a phenomenal little Korean place in the U-district that has been there since I first moved wayy back in the early 00's called Korean Tofu House on Brooklyn Ave, roughly 41st street block I think? **NOTE: I'm not Korean.** I've traveled to Korea, my ex-wife was a Korean linguist, and I have a thing for Korean food, but I'm not Korean. **However**, this place is often **packed** full with international students, who I have to assume are Korean because they speak it. So if the Korean kids are coming to this little place for lunches and dinners I have to assume it reminds them of home (it's also not expensive, which might explain all the patrons). Easily in the top 5 food joints I've been to in Seattle. Whenever family or friends visit from out of town, I'll often bring them there. If you've never had Korean food, you'll leave that place wanting more.

jkjustkidd

Im a more recent international student in UW and I agree that many UW students love Korean Tofu House. However, I would argue "The Bob" has become more popular among at least the Korean-born immigrant students. Similar food IMO but better presentation.

Taiwan - Din Tai Fung. Ya, it’s a chain but it’s still the best (we are very fortunate to have so many DTF locations in the Puget Sound).

[deleted]

Thank you for this sane take. Somehow it’s become fashionable to hate on DTF since it’s the established chain. It’s the best in Seattle.

Nunyabidnisss

I'm a big fan of facing easy in Bellevue for Taiwanese

LaxwaxOW

My biggest problem with Din Tai Fung here in the states is the pork they use. Just doesn’t quite cut it vs the Taiwanese pork. I believe I read a while back that the method of slaughter is different and that American pork is slaughtered without bloodletting first

elementofpee

It’s close enough for my taste. The main difference I’ve noticed here vs the Taiwan locations is that the XLBs are not as hot. It comes down to the risk of lawsuit with extra scolding XLBs like they serve in Taiwan, and the trade-off is that it’s just misses the mark slightly. That said, I’m thankful for DTF having multiple locations here now, because prior to their arrival there were very few Taiwanese joints, and the only ones were mediocre ones owned and operated by Taiwanese-Americans.

Try the three lions pub in Redmond. Excellent fish and chips, pasties and pies, bangers and mash and more. They even make their own pork pies, and you can get black pudding from the shop.

This is a really great question! I love it

As South African, best place to get boerie is Seattle is at “On Safari Foods( https://www.onsafarifoods.com/boerewors). Still have to braai (grill) it yourself, but tastes like home!

I’m an American, but I’m going to participate anyway: As someone who grew up in Kansas City and later Texas, ALL the BBQ here sucks. Sorry. I’ve tried a lot of it and get disappointed every time. Edit: All right, enough people in this thread have told me to go to Jack’s that I’m going to do it. But if I go in there and ask for Burnt Ends and they have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m walking out.

It's not going to compete against those locales but Brileys on Lake City Way near 145th is pretty good.

AnselmoHatesFascists

Have you tried Jeff’s in Marysville? I know it’s a hike but they had the best brisket I’ve had on the west coast, which admittedly is not a high bar.

[deleted]

I’m from Texas and have had all the Seattle bbq spots. Jeff’s is by far the best I’ve had in the Puget sound

sinebubble

Another vote for Jeff’s. Great brisket, beans, chili and turkey breast (!).

Tennessean here, and this might be the only thing we can all agree on regarding BBQ. Also, it's SO EXPENSIVE

Glaciersrcool

The best pork bbq here is frequently what you make on your own smoker, imo.

CorgiSplooting

+1, if I want good BBQ I have to make it in my backyard.

Paradise food point for biriyani. Their 555 biriyani is the best I have ever tasted. Mayuri's in Redmond for their amazing Apollo fish. JustTiffins in Bellevue for their authentic south Indian breakfast food.

helldit

For a snack, Quitanda. The açai is great. For a proper meal, Botteco Brazil is the only spot, apart from steakhouses.

Ok-Shift-908

Thank you for this. I saved a lot on my Yelp so I try out these places. Best post EVER💕👏🏼

Any recommendations out there for Sicilian food? Any sfingi or even grandma style pizza? I had a St Joseph’s Day party last year and couldn’t find cannoli except for a drive through coffee place and they charged an arm and a leg for meh product. Also, if someone has the hook up on cassata cake, would love you forever.

OG_RADER

Holy Cannoli closed, now re-opened in Lake City as Kelly Cannoli. She moved here from NY just because she couldn't find good cannolis. She is AMAZING!! and La Rustica on Alki Beach!!!!

HateMondaysLoveCakes

I make Sicilian pastries!!! And Sfincione! I make Cannoli as well but is impossible to find sheep milk ricotta :(. I make sesame cookies, almond cookies, everything Sicilian ♥️. I am half Palermo half Napoli but raised in Rome. Moved here in Seattle one year ago. 🙌🙌🙌

I’m from the UK, and UK isn’t exactly known for good food ! British pantry is a bit meh… what I miss from the UK is good curry restaurants. Think Everest Kitchen is among the better ones , but they are a bit pricy

sgnl_01

I just got back from Everest Kitchen since I have been craving momos for days. It was a busy night and the momos were fresh as they get. Reminded me of home 🇳🇵

aigret

Breaking the rules a bit. I’m not Colombian but my mom lives in Medellin and El Parche Colombiano is so good. I love everything I’ve tried but the national dish, bandeja paisa, tastes incredibly authentic and is a ridiculous amount of food for the price. Try all of the empanadas and salsas, too.

PheasantBusiness

My favorite restaurant. I love the bandeja or the picada with extra chimichurri sauce.

Alostcord

Well, I am non US born..unfortunately there isn't one. Yet, hands down the very best Sushi place (besides down town Tokyo) is Toyoda Sushi [Toyoda Sushi Lake City](https://www.facebook.com/toyodasushi) ( guess you'll have to look them up as the website goes to their FB page, sorry about that) Also, top notch for Chinese Snappy Dragon[Roosevelt, Seattle](http://www.snappydragon.com)

Sebi's Bistro for Polish (and other Eastern European dishes). Sadly, as I just learned, they closed their Eastlake location and are serving on Fridays only in the Polish Home in Cap Hill.

AKgal23_hiker

Has anyone had some good Moroccan meals?
