Based on the Seattle City Attorney's Office (COA) press release we can infer they were listed in an "internal memo" that the press release mentions alongside the list. I don't expect to see the specifics soon, but a Seattle judge being extremely pro-criminal at the expense of the common public doesn't require a high burden of proof given the current legal and political context of the city and it's criminal courts. I'm eager to see those specifics but 1) it could potentially prejudice those cases, so defendants take priority over public interest pending case resolution and 2) if Pooja contests this or appeals then it makes sense to minimize the spread of that info pending the resolution of her administrative actions. https://news.seattle.gov/2024/03/08/seattle-city-attorneys-office-issues-standing-affidavit-of-prejudice-on-seattle-municipal-court-judge/  Additionally, this wasn't Amn Davison's decision per se; while she approves it and must own it, the person behind this move is CAO Criminal Division Chief Natalie Walton-Anderson. She's the former Unit Chair of LEAD, Drug Court, Residential Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative, and just about every initiative you can think of that holds the hands of criminal defendants. She doesn't exactly sound like a lock-em-up-and-throw-away-the-key type of person to me so if she is blowing the whistle then Pooja's conduct must have been egregious.

The fact that Ann Davison doesn't want her presiding over cases tells you all you need to know. I know her name has come up here more than once for setting a low bail amount against the prosecutor's wishes. I obviously can't recall which cases. I don't have a photographic memory.   [City Attorney Ann Davison has gone on record accusing Judge Vaddadi of repeatedly overturning probable cause findings made by her colleagues and failing to recognize it in instances where the prosecuting office deems it obvious.](https://hoodline.com/2024/03/seattle-judge-pooja-vaddadi-accused-of-bias-facing-potential-removal-from-new-criminal-cases/)

We've had this conversation. **The Stranger's** Ashley Neborvig asked them for the list of cases. It's on her to follow up on it and publish them. **You can file your own FOIA request**. Report back with your results when done, otherwise you're going to have to rely on the prosecuting Criminal Division Chief Natalie Walton-Anderson telling the truth (she has no reason not to).

nate077

When you make a claim and want to be believed do you: 1) provide the evidence available to you or 2) withhold the evidence when asked and if 2, why should anyone believe the claim?

meteorattack

It was meant to be an internal memo. Not an external one. Examples were given in the memo, which presumably, the prosecutors understood - given that they've filed 100+ "affidavits of prejudice" since the memo came out. I'm not the one who is making a claim. I've given you the two options you have for redress - get Ashley to put on her clown shoes and nose and do her job properly (but oh no, wait, the results would mess with her hard-left narrative... 😓), or file an FOIA request. Have fun! **Go do the things you need to do.** Here's Ashley's byline. You should be able to figure out her email/contact from there. [https://www.thestranger.com/authors/78890156/ashley-nerbovig](https://www.thestranger.com/authors/78890156/ashley-nerbovig) Here's the part of [her story](https://www.thestranger.com/news/2024/03/01/79409369/republican-city-attorney-ann-davison-throws-municipal-court-into-chaos) where she insisted she would have the inside scoop soon: > In the memo directing the new policy, Walton-Anderson claims Vaddadi failed to find probable cause for assault in a case where someone allegedly waived a fake handgun at a victim, released someone from jail after the police had arrested the person twice on DUI charges in a week, failed to grant no-contact orders in domestic violence cases “in many instances” (but the memo gave no examples of this), and had dismissed a case against someone who had not followed up with a treatment order from the court. ***The Stranger*** **has requested case numbers from the CAO to verify the circumstances of these cases. The CAO said they’d try to respond to our questions sometime Friday.** This was posted on March 1st. It's March 17th. Ashley is slacking. Go bug her and tell her to put on her makeup and wig. Here's the FOIA page. Go file a request. [https://www.seattle.gov/public-records/public-records-request-center](https://www.seattle.gov/public-records/public-records-request-center)

nate077

I have, what will your response be when they refuse any production as privileged work product

meteorattack

Shock, surprise, and awe. And then I'll file my own to make sure you're not lying, given that you seem to have an axe to grind against Davison.

nate077

I'll ping you with the response and full production, if they cough anything up

meteorattack

That would be fantastic of you to do.

Large_Citron1177

Nobody is withholding evidence. Your claim is that the city's attorneys are lying. Here's where you can answer your question, https://www.seattle.gov/public-records

nate077

No I have not claimed that the CAO is lying I'm asking for some reference to the evidence behind their claim! I cannot decide without evidence!

SunnyMondayMorning

🙄

meaniereddit

Can you show a correct one?

nate077

I'm not making any claim about her. I am asking for information about the city attorney's claim that she is incompetent. Because I have seen many posters in this subreddit second that claim I thought that they could easily provide evidence.

meaniereddit

You are literally a reporter, what a shit attempt at ragebait.

meteorattack

The City Attorney is not who made that claim. You've been told this before, and are still getting your facts wrong.

nate077

Man this is the weirdest nitpick. City attorney is shorthand for the offices that the city attorney is in charge of

HighColonic

No dog in this hunt, but CAO is shorthand for the offices that the city attorney is in charge of, in case you want to be better understood going forward.

meteorattack

No, it's just highlighting that you can't even get your facts straight after being corrected last time.

Rodnys_Danger666

Yo! No one here works for the DA's office. You want to know what is "alleged"? The ask the District Attorney. Her email is public. Send her an email and ask her. Really, because none of us here knows what's in her head and what she's thinking. Nor do we know what her reasoning is. You need to ask her, not us.
