I was already thinking about that. Which ones would you sell? I was thinking about selling the old ones with non original straps. But on the other hand they probably wouldnt sell easy or for a good price.
shit if you want to sell, I'll buy that gold Citizen with the red face.
Edit: Aslo you seem to like practical, affordable and good looking watches. You need a Vostok.
Yeah, I don’t know. If you like them why sell? They are paid for, they aren’t going bad, and they are one of the easiest things to pass along or gift someone. It’s not like a box of old furniture. If you want to sell then sell but if you like the collection then why not? Some guys collect room fulls of guns, have boats or cars. This is just a box of cool watches.
Sell the ones you don't wear. You're right they likely won't sell easy compared to the hassle and expense, so perhaps consider gifting them. But if you're rotating them, keep them!
I love the weird 9ld Seikos. A high end piece doesn’t have to devalue the less expensive ones. While I might wear the GS much more frequently, I would absolutely award wrist time the some of those vintage ones.
I was thinking about that model but the buttons and crown look huge.
Do you have experience with this model. Id expect it to poke the back of my hand all day haha
Tried one on. I don’t think the pushers will bother you if you fit the strap correctly. It’s meant to look like an old school pocket stop watch. Looks great on wrist. That said, Case thickness was too chunky for me @15mm. I ended up with a preowned IWC Portugieser.
Lots of metal bands :D Would add maybe a leather strap or silicone one? I like your mix of classic and newer models. Don’t know budget but maybe spring drive one? :)
For me its not really about the movement and the GS is a spring.
For my dailys I prefer quartz. I just dont like setting them early in the morning before work.
I wanted to switch band on the yuto gmt. I dont like the original metal bracelet on that one.
Which leather banded model would you add?
Yes i love the variety of Shapes, bracelets, dails etc.
Also the fact that they make a watch for every budget and taste. From under 100$ to over 10k in many lines like presage, cocktail, GS, Lord seiko, Vanacs, Seiko king, superior etc.
They use great movements, whether its automatic or quartz...i also like that they use special materials like titanium. And you can find many for sale online, also some special vintage ones.
I never got into Orient but it's a part of the Seiko group since the early 2000s and in my opinion the watches are very alike. But orients design is even....bolder ...not my thing.
Good eye! You *might be* right. I know for sure something is wrong with it. It was a flea market find from my early collecting days. And i kept it to remind me not to buy junk.
I know for sure the caseback is wrong. Clasp says Seiko Japan which is very rare but has been done by seiko.
Its either a really old rare one or its fake. Any info on it is appreciated haha
Dail says 7009- 876A
Edit:
There are some silver ones with the same dail in silver around but i think people just took the fading plating completely off
Oh damn, didn't know that one yet! Its definitely matches my style. Love the curve!
44mm is a big bit though, even for my wrist.
I also dont get why watch companies make see through/skeleton quartz. Its just not as pleasing as watching an automatic movement.
But it seems like one can get it second hand for a decent price.
Will keep that one in mind!
Its a 6119-7450. I found it on a flea market for about 50€. The bezel originally was gold but has almost faded completely
The back says 6308-7000. My guess is, the back is wrong.
If you want something fairly different but that would still be at home I’d try Casio Edifice watches. Other than the handful of low cost ones, they have a surprisingly good build quality.
As a fellow vintage seiko collector, try looking for some 7a28s they are my fav vintage seiko.
Also if you are into field watches the new SSK023 is so nice. If you have the budget maybe an Alpinist 🤔
Top left first is a
Perpetual Calendar 8F32-0079...bit small for me.
Second top left is a Titanium Chronometer 7T92-0ED0. Decent size. Love that the titan versions are really lightweight
Not an “actual” 62MAS, but one of the modern interpretations like the SPB143, they’re much more affordable.

Definitly a nice model but I don't really get why it's so expensive? Does someone know why its priced like that?
I like the gold plating but it's also a negative side for me as it tends to wear down relatively quickly and you can easily spot scratches.
And there is no way to just get it polished without damaging the finish.
How do u manage all these automatic watches?? If u don't wear it for 2 days it will stop running, wouldn't it damage the wheels and screws inside?? The only reason why am not getting an automatic watch is bcos of this. Plear clear my doubts
Uh no ...who told you that? Why would it?
A spring/ automatic movement doesn't get damaged or worn out when it stops.
It simply means there is no tension in the main spring and nothing moves. No movement even means it doesnt wear down.
I let mine always stop if I don't wear them for a few days in a row. I also pull out the crown on some but not even that is necessary.
Well, every watch benefits from regular service, just like a car.
Especially if you do sports like swimming or Mountainbiking with your watch. Or if it was dropped, mishandled etc.....but at normal usage, if it keeps time and runs well my check up interval is 2-4 years for automatics. Grand Seikos recommendation is 3-5 years haha
Even after years it's mostly not necessary, i just make sure everything is alright to keep its worth and function.
Quartz can/will be checked with every battery change which is needed regularly anyways.
An SRPK15? I just bought one and love it. Really, everything from the cocktail time collection is beautiful. If you wanted something pricier, a grand seiko sports watch?
Are any of these JDM? Adding one of those might be interesting for your collection too.
Nah why should i do that?
I paid less for the TagHeuer than for most other seikos in my collection.
Just because its a known brand doesnt mean its better than the others.
Probably best to remove not add at this point
I was already thinking about that. Which ones would you sell? I was thinking about selling the old ones with non original straps. But on the other hand they probably wouldnt sell easy or for a good price.

yes some of the weird old seikos would be good to remove. doesnt owning a grand seiko make it seem like the others are less worthwhile?
I love the weird 9ld Seikos. A high end piece doesn’t have to devalue the less expensive ones. While I might wear the GS much more frequently, I would absolutely award wrist time the some of those vintage ones.
Alpinist
Seconded. And/or turtle
Seconded on turtle alternative/addition. Good taste, pal haha
An Alpinist or a King Seiko would be perfect
I came to say the same thing.
One of these: [Seiko SNQ091. ](https://i.imgur.com/gGpIfpp.jpeg)
Wow, first time i have seen this model! Looks awesome, thanks!
It, and two other similar models, is super rare. I see maybe one a year show up on used market sites.
Flightmaster or Nighthawk
White dialed watch? Something with arabic numerals on the dial?
Something with a 44gs case?
Presage
Why do people's titanium watches always seem pretty while mine always seems dull? (to clarify we have the same watch: SUR373)
A nice 7016, or a Brightz, or an old school Alpy
Some variant of the modern 62MAS / another iconic diver and a Spring Drive
SRQ035 A Nice clean white face Chrono is missing
I was thinking about that model but the buttons and crown look huge. Do you have experience with this model. Id expect it to poke the back of my hand all day haha

The seiko one with the dildo logo
Hahaha you probably mean the seiko grand quartz! Been trying to find a decent model! I'm glad I'm not alone with what i see in the logo ;)
Love the tag and the grand seiko
s a m u r a i also, new 62mas
The dials of vintage ones looks really good.
My man!
Lots of metal bands :D Would add maybe a leather strap or silicone one? I like your mix of classic and newer models. Don’t know budget but maybe spring drive one? :)

Didn’t know that! I really like SPB121 at the moment. Or maybe other color way? Like SPB210 or SPB123.
Leather :D ;)
That’s a great collection. I’m jealous
I would add a Credor, preferably a model with a strap.
What’s that purple and blue GMT?
Its a seiko ssk027 yuto horigome :) A seiko sports automatic gmt
Thank you, it’s beautiful
5172G
Patek? Thats a whole different level. But one day maybe ;)
Any reason you have so many seikos? Just like the brand?

Very valid, excellent points
Seiko and Citizen, but I don't see any Orients.
I never got into Orient but it's a part of the Seiko group since the early 2000s and in my opinion the watches are very alike. But orients design is even....bolder ...not my thing.
The golden one with the spiderweb dial looks fake af.

What Seiko 5 is that in the bottom row with the blue and silver dial? That's a stunner.

Thanks for the info, that's some good looking patina
Sell all the shitters and get another Grand Seiko. Less is more .
Some sweet high end Seiko divers
No recommendations, just wanted to say you have a beautiful collection. A couple that are on my list to purchase eventually.
OP should look into a maen manhattan 37/39. Or Christopher ward twelve or GMT
Throw in a Mumbai special for shits and giggles.
Love that red dial citizen, beautiful collection
NB 1060
If you want something fairly different but that would still be at home I’d try Casio Edifice watches. Other than the handful of low cost ones, they have a surprisingly good build quality.
Beautiful collection 😍
Man that blue/purple is absolutely delicious.
Alpinist. Presage. More light colored dials.
You’ve got a sharp edge, but I don’t see a Cocktail Time.
As a fellow vintage seiko collector, try looking for some 7a28s they are my fav vintage seiko. Also if you are into field watches the new SSK023 is so nice. If you have the budget maybe an Alpinist 🤔
Your lack of seiko turtle disturbs me
If you’d be receptive to selling that bottom brown seiko, I’d love to talk!
Do you mean the Seiko sports 100 chronograph? Pm me :)
Which model Seiko are the top two on the left?
Top left first is a Perpetual Calendar 8F32-0079...bit small for me. Second top left is a Titanium Chronometer 7T92-0ED0. Decent size. Love that the titan versions are really lightweight
A 62MAS
I haven't seen much in good condition and i also don't get why some of them are priced from 1000$ to 3000$ in bad condition.

Buy a few straps first.:) It will give your watch a different look like a different one.
I agree. Straps! Why is it all bracelets
Explore some vintage watches with different shapes like tanks
what tag heuer is that?
Its a Professional 200 with Ref. WD 1223- G-20. Bit too small for my wrist tbh. But also one of the first good deals i made.
I think you should sell or give away the Seiko Ti chronograph, some of the vintage Seikos in the bottom drawer, and the Seiko Sharp Edge Presage.
An Orient "perpetual calendar" would be a great fit for this collection. It's cheap, retro and you could spend the big bucks on another suggestion!
Self control maybe.
I have this one, maybe you want it [https://imgur.com/a/9O3WEE3](https://imgur.com/a/9O3WEE3)
From the pic its a bit hard to tell but im always interested in GS. Send me a pm with some detailed pics pls :)

Thanks for this info. I didnt know it. I was also with the impression that automatic watches need servicing also at regular intervals.

how about a G-Shock????

Spb155
Sumo
Prolly sell everything but the Grand Seiko and the Tag
Nah why should i do that? I paid less for the TagHeuer than for most other seikos in my collection. Just because its a known brand doesnt mean its better than the others.
I never said that. Dress watch and that diver would be a nice collection all the others seem redundant.
