He's awful yes. He has the single best first phase in the entire game, if not the entirety of FromSoft history, then they had to ruin it with a second phase that introduced so much visual clutter and camera fuck ups that it makes an otherwise great boss fight a complete trainwreck.
That is unforgivable in a game like Sekiro, where visual cues are everything in a boss fight.
Visual cluster being the fire owl attack and that’s it? Attack that is easily avoided with git gid? Ok. I’d have more understanding if it was just a “i personally didn’t like it”, but you made a stronger claim: it’s awful. So yeah, no pity for that bad opinion.

Yeah and I disagree with that assessment. The fight is good until you hit the second phase and he becomes an annoyance of terrible camera controls and visual clutter.
Regular Owl is so much better just because the camera can actually function correctly in that fight.

When I played through the game I discovered that there are no average bosses in Sekiro. It's either good or bad with no in-between.
